There was a driver named Howard who would drive through the neighborhood early in the mourning.when he came to a stop sign he would slow down but not stop. Looking both ways assured the others were asleep he continued this practice with all ten stop signs.
One day he was pulled over for this practice. The officer about to write the ticket was interrupted when Howard said
"Officer I slow down and look both ways, no one is ever coming from the joining road, I've been doing this for years and have had no accidents. What's the difference if I slow down or stop?
The offer responded " ok then ill show you, ill take out my night stick and begin hitting you. You tell me if you want me to slow down or stop.
