The gift of Diserment is spoken about by Christians in a manner that suggests its also a gift that comes and goes when you seek the holy spirit for guidance.

I also understand the gift of Diserment is also when the holy spirit speaks to you Personaly.

But on another note can the gift of Diserment also be a gift of prophecy ?

Don't know what that machine has to do with this I'm asking if the gift of discernment from the holy spirit is scriptural.

I'm also asking does the gift of Diserment involve the holy spirit speaking to an individual on a personal level, and is this scriptural. Thanks for answers so far 🙂

I still don't get the joke.
You misspelled “discernment”. I corrected you, putting in the missing ‘c’ and ‘n’ which make ‘cern’ in the middle of the word. Aaron56 just made the link to CERN, the controversial research facility.

You forgot the 'cern' so I added it. It happened to be the wrong one and completely unrelated to the topic.

I am still discerned by this 😋 That machine is about proving how the big bang worked.

Maybe the big bang was an explosion of the holy spirit as it's light began to fill the dark voids.

consider 2nd Timothy 2:7- "consider what i say & THE LORD GIVE THEE UNDERSTANDING IN ALL THINGS"!!! it is the Holy Spirit that assists you in understanding. when suffering ambivalence on an issue, ask the H.S. to teach you. now this may sound strange but it's true: if the H.S. never answers you that means you didn't need to know!!! no one will know everything!!!

Ever have a conversation with someone and feel what they say isn't the whole truth?
Later on, you learn it wasn't the whole truth.
You Discerned the Moment you were lied to.
It wasn't confirmed however until God let's it be known to you.

You two both seem nice @The_Watchers_2017 and @Karlon

But could you please elaborate further on your last quotes please, thanks
Ecclesiastes is thee book for unexplained issues of life. God has not answered every problem of life & will not. not that this a problem. hopefully this will help" God has commanded us to live joyfully, wisely & responsibly. while Christians will wonder & may never know an answer, they'e trust & faith shall always outdo any worry. btw, there is a difference in worry & concern. worry has negative connotations inducing worry & lack of confidence which can lead to lack of trust & faith. concern is a positive, more or less, characteristic with optimistic behavior. think of a Christian mother's letting her child out to play for the 1st time without mom's guidance; she'll be looking out the window now & then but remaining positive. i believe we'll get the answers to all we didn't know in heaven. i think 2nd Timothy 2:7 means all things any one person God knows can understand are in that person's grasp. or God is speaking "plural": maybe all things to know are collectively known by everyone. but always study as 2nd Timothy says. remember, with God, the best is always yet to arrive meaning all your studying will keep increasing your knowledge.

Discernment is what you need when you hear the conspiracy theory about CERN's real mission of trying use the hadron collider to open demonic portals for the upcoming demon invasion....

There has been videos of demonic rituals, and human sacrifices at CERN, but it's unclear whether or not it is real or scientists trolling the conspiracy theorists, or both.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hearing and believing The word of Christ gives true discernment

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”( because he teaches us right discernment )
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It will never change because Jesus words are Gods discernment of all things it is the word that is irrevocable and without end or change that all
Men will face

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what I’m saying is to be a disciple of Jesus, a Christian , is where discernment comes from it’s why he was always saying “ listen tonehat im sayong and you’ll live , hear my word and you’ll be saved from condemnation , keep my words and I will come and reveal myself to you

Hearing and believing and learning from the gospel is true discernment and is available to any who hear and believe him

Yes, discernment (understanding of Scripture) given by the Holy Spirit IS BIBLICAL.

John, Chapter 16:
13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The gift of prophecy is a different gift given by the Holy Spirit

I would you suggest you spend some time dwelling deeper on the first passage you wrote 🙂.

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Look at the last sentence it's exactly how the gift of prophecy works.

Which was also my trump card 🙂.

Prophecy is also a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart
