Wow, I can't believe how some people are coming at you. I think you can see from my comments that God has led me to know that it's not beneficial at all for me, I was sinning the way I smoked it, and He led me away from it, but He worked it out with me. Also I can ASSURE you that I was saved and did smoke at the same time, so no one has the authority to tell you about your salvation, it makes me so upset when people talk like this to others this way. Like they've arrived and are now the source of all truth and knowledge. I would be even more a liar if I acted like I wasn't guilty of this myself at times, but some people seem to think and make a job of going around correcting and teaching everyone the errors of there ways. Even if they have to put the words in your mouth they are correcting. Honestly I think you've got a good understanding of where your at and understand the direction of the path you're on. The crazy thing is I, for the most part, agree with what they are saying, but the fact they are telling you that you're going to hell while causing strife and showing arrogance in the way they are approaching the whole thing, is so hypocritical and has honestly had me feeling all internet dialogue is a pointless joke, and almost leaving many times. The thing is the people like you and MANY others here show me that there is always good reasons to come back and share. Good luck with the conversation from here on, just remember that sometimes it's pointless to address some people's comments whose whole reason for being here seems to be to start stuff.
So your view or understanding of what His word says is the final authority? Can you tell me I wasn't saved and smoked weed at the same time, because I claim that I was?
Also just to make this very clear and so you don't start building a straw-man against me and put words into my mouth so you can correct me for stuff I didn't say, again. I am not attacking Gods word, what I am doing is pointing out YOUR behavior and the way YOU approached this conversation. Not 1 question or once did you talk to her or try understanding her whole view or why, or even where she's at in her walk at this time. Nope you just come strait in telling her she is going to Hell and the post scriptures to prove it with things on the list like (causing) strife, and hatred that I could say "I think" you're guilty of in the very comment you're condemning her with. I believe Gods word is the authority, not your opinion of how it's applied to others. Are you always like this? Like Peter and open your mouth before you think? I don't know you or what you're about, but I've yet to interact or see one comment of yours that isn't starting crap. What's the deal, are you here to set us all strait? Again I even said in my last comment, I can't disagree with your main points, but the way YOU behave is juvenile at best and strait up sinful at worst. Slow your role a bit, and maybe ask some questions for clarification before teaching someone how they should be, especially when it's obvious you have a way to go yourself. As do we all, but some can't seem to see or even fathom acknowledging it.

Hello. It is my belief that GOD is for anything that strengthens our personal relationship with him and is against anything does hinders our relationship with him. Many years ago I smoked weed which for me lead to using stronger drugs. Praise GOD I was delivered from my past addictions. I can honestly say that praising and spending time with GOD produces a natural high with no side effects.
Well for instance I was high when he told me the Bible wasn't against me and if I would put down the blunt and pick up the Bible he'd help me realize that. He also helped me understand the Bible is to help me control myself and get me on a path to living through his eyes. And because I know anything Good comes from God, and also I'm not one of those people who believes everything I hear, especially if the Bible doesn't say that at all. For instance, I know nowhere in the Bible is weed specifically mentioned.

when we are under the influence ; which there is a reason why that term is used. is that influence one is under of God?
When no where in the Bible do we see as a normative God speaking to us out side of HIS word or of the Holy Spirit.

I understand that and know that already. But because one of his children get high on whatever it is, he just abandons them. He knows why I was doing it etc...and turns out I put the blunt down and started talking to him more, and began reading his word. And completely put my trust in faith in him. So for me, it seemed to work. I'm one of those people who believe God is every where, even when bad things are happening.
