John 5:18
not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

John 10:30

I and the Father are one.

Acts 16:31

And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Therefore, if you believe that they are one, then you are saved.

Why don't you, Red and Scott just be honest. You only believe PARTS of the Bible

If you CANNOT answer or give any opinions on the spirit breathed verses of scripture I place before you, why do you think I shoiuld answer what you place before me?

Tell me Dewba. How many churches do you know where the minister stands in the pulpit and plainly and continuously states that unless a person believes Christ is God Himself they can have no eternal life?

I have been to Trinitarian churches for thirty years and I have never heard that preached from the pulpit. So either the ministers do not believe it to be true or they are abysmally failing their flock
For you CANNOT have a belief that eternal life hinges on that is not loudly proclaimed from the pulpit.

But you along with others blindly ignore these obvious truths and continue to believe what you do, which I repeat is not based on scripture

And I repeat. No wonder people are leaving the established churches in record numbers, disenchanted, and no wonder, all too often the desperate in society would never dream of going to church because they are simply confronted with a weak, religilon based on the teachings of man and his wisdom, not the spirit breathed Bible.

John 5:30
By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgement is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

By myself, I am no one; I can do nothing.
But with God, all things are possible.

Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

It is good to be exercised in this manner, it really helps you to see the truth and have your heart and mind established in it. There will always be people that do not believe that God became a man through His Son and they will deny that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh and that is the spirit of antichrist. Some have been blinded to that simple truth in their heart but those who believe they will rejoice in it. Sometimes it is better to just ignore those that are contentious concerning the foundation of our faith and let them wrestle with these things to their own detriment. However, we should always be prepared to give an answer according to (1Pt 3:15)...

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Anyone raised up by God to be a teacher/preacher of the word would be able to answer the scripture placed before them

A wise man will sometimes answer a fool according to his folly and sometimes he will not (Prov 26:4,5).

Prov 22:17-21
17 Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.

18 For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.
19 That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.
20 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, 21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet, brother. The grace of our Lord be with you.
Romans 16: 20

I really appreciate the encouragement, brother... God bless you...

I would say that a person who wanted to be looked to by others as a spiritual authority and teacher of the word would always answer scripture put before them-if they could

You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!

I don't want to get on any debate or anything, but I just felt I should add a couple scriptures. :)

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (Isn't that speaking of Jesus)

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.(the Word, that is Jesus correct)

I am no bible scholar, please forgive me, but this I do know, Jesus is my Lord and Savior and without Him I would be lost and have no hope at all. :)

Do you believe honesty from the heart is vital to being a Christian?

If you do answer honestly from your heart the following questilon, however hard it may be to answer truthfully

Why did you give no answer to the scripture verses I placed before you?
I did as my Father did:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=matthew%204&version=NIV

for

the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
John 5:19
