Jesus became angry, and turned the tables, was he demon posessed?
Levi,

the reason HE was angry was because the "high priests" had set up an assembly line selling animal sacrifices to the poor who were looking to be restored/reconciled to GOD and who depended on the "high priests" intercession for them before GOD

And the "high priests" (who were supposed to be "holy and clean" before GOD, had set up common middlemen on the temple courts handling the sacrifices (thereby rendering them unclean) and treating the HOLY THINGS of GOD with contempt
The "high priests" were unclean themselves and did not care for the souls of those who needed restitution

How can anyone ever think Jesus was demon posessed? That's absurd, yet the pharisees of the day were saying Jesus was doing what he was doing by the power of the devil.
Actually, I get Levi's post. Many Christians think being angry is demonic activity in their lives...

And yet, Jesus got angry. I think the point is to stop thinking anger is evil.

No. The temple was supposed to be a place of worship, not a den of robbers. Jesus did the right thing.

Really liked what you posted here miknik. It reminds me of when Jesus explained what those priests were about making it impossible by "shutting up heaven" for regular people with their many rules and regulations. And that the priests themselves were so much more fold the children of the devil. (can't find the verse I'm thinking of that goes with that.) If anyone knows it please post.

Jesus Himself makes salvation a gift given freely by Him., But the religious priests and pharisees were standing before the people falsely representing God as one who wants working and buying their way into His favor.

Yes I agree. That's exactly what it was like. They themselves held the door open, did not themselves enter in, nor did they allow those who wanted to...to enter in

they were stealing from GOD what should belong to GOD

Further, where were they whilevthese activities were occurring?

If they had a priestly heart, they would have cared for those who longed to know GOD
Instead they left the HOLY WORK in the hands of men who were not even priests, handling the sacrifices they knowing the law understood that unclean hands handling the sacrifices before GOD made the offering before GOD unclean and unacceptable in the sight of GOD

Just because He was angry then He could have been possessed? That is backward idiocy, are you thinking that He is such a nice guy what with Him allowing everyone that repents into Heaven?

You need to get a refund from whover sold you that nonsense.

Mark 3:5

New International Version
He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.

Yes, Jesus would get "fired up" and "confrontational" when he dealt with cold and misguided people with hard hearts.

Your problem is you make the mistake that many Christians and those that criticize Christianity make:

You tell yourself, "God and Jesus and are loving and all peaceful all the time". And then when you find instances of God or Jesus being anything but this description, you call the false character you have made for them into question.

When you deal with a wild animal, drunkard, or aggressive person, you cannot back down or show weakness to these people or they will lose their version of respect for you. You can communicate peace and love to those open and receptive to it, for those other people The Almighty puts the fear of God into them. Christ had a firm character with those who had bad intentions toward him.

The real problem with all of this is YOU believe you are suppose to be loving and peaceful ALL THE TIME. And that anyone, even Christ, who stands up for themselves, others, or their beliefs with a strong spirit and tough words or actions is "demon possessed" or being a "Man" that feminism would not agree is sensitive and understanding enough.

God is Good. Everything God does is for the highest, most sacred, best for everyone purpose.
