i admire that kinda attitude....... i need to work on mine u see
I don't know if you've read the even deeper story of their early years in ministry. They didn't have two nickels to rub together, and for years and years, drove an old Junker to people's houses to sit around on the floor, and fellowship.

Of course. And the whole point of any of this stupidity of addressing these foolish things is to counter what some knuckleheads on here claim.... that every single word of Paul's letters were written directly to us..... not just the understanding of principles, but that each word of every message or comment was addressed specifically to us. To me, it is absurd to even have to say that is not so.

Ah, all those that deny God's Word for one reason or the other eventually come face to face with this piece of scripture and are forced to make some life changing decisions.

2Ti 3:16..."All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"

Which includes every word! If you cannot believe GOD then who can you believe,,,, J. MEYERS?

i think about this too. but it says what it says. ive learned a lot from them. but i cant just throw out those verses
Fear not Snoozy. What God means is that the woman cannot take the place of a man in the office of teacher or pastorial duties in the church. Paul tells us in 1 Tim 2:11-12, that women cannot fill the offices of teacher and the role of pastor in the Church. V.12 interprets v.11 for us.

The scriptures tells us that she is allowed to teach the younger anytime (tit 2:3-4; 2 tim 1:5; 3:15,) AND men when done in private. (Acts 18:24-28)

It is a good thing you did not throw out those verses....They are GOD's words.

Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving

God will not have a woman taking the place of a man. 1tim 2:13; 1 Cor 11:1-10; 1 tim 2:14

You either accept his decision or NOT.......Not would NOT be a good idea? (There are them double negatives again, lol)

You're being a bit hypocritical. Here you say she is right when she reads the Bible as she does. Yet, you say that where you don't read it the same way, she is being a False Teacher.

I've heard her teach that she is, and is to remain, in a submissive role to her pastor and to her husband. I've not heard her speak against submission to either at any time...and she even openly discusses times when she didn't like doing so. She testifies of what God has done for her in her life and encourages others to allow God to deliver them as well.

She's happy and down to earth...showing us how to apply the word of God in our lives ,and face (with humor) the obstacles we harbor in our humanity...which is somewhat in contrast to methods of preaching/teaching that give the impression that God is so much higher than us that he can't relate to us, and by extension, we can't possibly relate to him...or successfully improve.

She's also not right in everything she teaches. Should that really surprise us? I think it's easy to say the same thing about every pastor/preacher/priest/bishop/deacon/elder/parent/brother/friend/mother/sister/self that we've ever encountered...except God.

If you don't like her, don't watch her. If you don't like someone else, don't watch them either. But when the bible tells us to speak evil of no man, it means it.

Sorry, I did not get that out of that statement... I did pit J. Myers against GOD and I guess she won in your eyes.

She teaches gain is godliness. Scripture gives a mandate concerning these who teach this, 1 Timothy 6:5. Not that some care to heed Scriptures given mandate here, they'll just make excuses and accusations against those who turn away from and expose them.
