Jonathan do your homework before you give anyone recommendations.
If you dont know than keep it closed. this is not about Joyces gender
I wasn't talking to you until you quoted me. Sorry I didn't know you hijacked this thread. The original post is about Joyce Meyers and the verses about gender. I do not believe women should teach. Joyce Meyers has doctrinal problems is also true but the OP's original post is about gender. I do not plan to keep silent because what I believe bothers you.

You obviously only listened for about 4 minutes. Please listen to the WHOLE audio. You will hear Joyce Meyer speaking in various parts of the audio. You can hear Joyce speak from her own lips

Ok I listened to it and it is not right to teach things contrary to the word, especially about what she is saying about Jesus and hell

P.S. I would take Joyce Meyers over Cessationist and a group of conspiracy theorist any day. Some of the threads on this site are more dangerous than Joyce Meyers.

  1. Matthew 7:1
DO NOT judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves.
Matthew 7:1-3 (in Context) Matthew 7 (Whole Chapter)
You need to look at all that is said about judgment in the Bible. We are to judge all things so that we do not go in error and that wrong teaching is not let into the church to lead others astray. We do not judge the person only what they are doing because only GOD knows their heart. They could have done it for Good but out of lack of understanding they hurt others. Then they could of done it has evil who knows but GOD.Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Then from what I have heard is that women can only teach boys under the age of 13. This is when they are to start to become a man and if a woman is over them it weakens our men because they start looking to woman for things and do not hold on to their Spiritual roles. Look at our nation and the men who do not know who they are, they do not work, they beat thier wives,. The children miss out on the comfort of a mother and the protection of a father. Wives Strive to be equal with men and are putting them under their feet and then wonder where all the good man have gone. Women need to know they were always equal to men they just had a different roll. You are his partner and when we take are place under our godly husbands wing then we truly have peace because he will be in his god given roll and the wife in her god given roll and then the children will see learn have comfort, protection and there will not be the undermind of God's authority. When a wife lifts up her husband he lifts her up.

John 7:24
Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”

1 cor 10:15I speak as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say

2 Thessalonians 3:6
Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us.

Ephesians 5:11
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

1 John 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world

1 Corinthians 2:15
The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.

Matthew 7:15
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

Colossians 2:8
See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

2 John 1:10-11
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.
1 thess 5:21
But test everything; hold fast what is good.

OP: You have been a Christian for all of 4 years and THINK that you completely understand Scripture??? Really?? You do NOT. Take some courses on hermenuetics and learn HOW to STUDY the text IN CONTEXT. You will learn to differentiate between Scripture that was written SPECIFICALLY to a certain group of people OF THAT DAY, from those written to the body at large.

God is not a respecter of persons....He does not give Holy Spirit only to men; He does not give teachings and revelations only to men. And for any man to think that He does is to identify oneself as having both misunderstanding of Scripture as well as an attitude of PRIDE.

And seriously...this particular 'debate' is SO OLD....but inevitably arises every time a new, zealous, yet ignorant person (usually a man, no less) joins this group. Sigh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I dont think youve read the thread....first God not being a respecter of persons does not apply...thats become
cliche and used always out of context. Also noone said He was. Second noone said He gave the Holyspirit to
just men, or revelations, or teachings. So thats all just chatter for no reason.

The debate is old....maybe for you. But apparently the OP felt it important and your belittling him for it..hmmm
ok a little name calling...sexist remarks ...more hmmmm. new, zealous, ignorant...wow can you prove this???

Now for the good part. Was 1 Cor. written to a specific group of that day as you claim????
Not according to 1 Cor.1:2 ; not according to 14:33 "as in [all] churches of the saints Let your woman...."

And your reference to a certain time period has no basis at all. Its an old fable.
This is a sad post really with not one valid remark.....accept to you its old.

Acts 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

You might need to reconsider if Jesus went to Hell or not.
Hi Jonathan

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I have been busy on other matters. I had already done an indepth study on this subject some time ago. I wrote an article on it within my blog. I will leave a link to that article at the bottom. It should answer the whole subject of why Jesus did NOT spend 3 days in Hell.

First consider that no-one has been to Hell yet. It is a place in the future which was provisionally reserved for Satan and his demons. Those who died (before Jesus died) were in a "place of dead souls" called hades (translated as hell). Hades was made up in two sections. The righteous are in a place Jesus called "Abrahams Bosom" and "paradise". The unrighteous are imprisoned. The original manuscripts use other words that have been translated as "hell". For example "sheol". Sheopl actually can be translated as "grave". The NIV version of 1984 actually uses the word "grave".

However, all the major translations mention the word "soul" as being in the grave or hades rather than the word "body". This makes it a little more confusing. However, if you consider that in Jewish thinking (re psalm 16, where Acts 2 is quoted from) the soul is not a separate entity to the body. In thje garden of Eden, it was the "spirit" that died, not the "soul". In Jesus, it is our "spirit" that has been made alive again, not our souls. To be born-again we experience our soul being saved (the whole of us, body and soul) and our dead spirit being made alive, with the Holy Spirit indwelling us.

On the cross the mere body of Jesus (not The Son of God) died. We know this because Jesus said "into your hands I commit my spirit" God CANNOT die, the Trinity (or Godhead) cannot die. The Word became flesh. On the cross the "flesh" died which includes the soul which is part/parcel of the body. It is intrinsically linked, cannot be divided. However, THE SON OF GOD (the spirit of Jesus) cannot die, but went to the Father

So the body and soul of the MAN Jesus went to the grave - NOT Hell.

Anyway, where do the demons live at the moment? Are they in hell or as Ephesians 6 tell us "in the spiritual realm in the air"? So Jesus was not tormented by demons in hell (because that would be to deny many other scripture passages). Hallelujah, God indeed did not leave Jesus in the grave but raised Him up on the 3rd day.

Here is the link which specifically explains the 3 verses you asked me about.

I think you mean "motivational". Yes, I have heard this said about them. However, what are they motivating in believers? They are not motivating believers to follow truth but to follow error. Their talks are spreading untruth poison into the souls of their hearers. It is their "motivational" talks which have led to wrong Christian attitudes "party spirit" ie followers of Word Faith preachers rather than the Teachings of Jesus. Much like what Paul said to the Corinthians. "some of you follow Peter, some Appolos, some Paul, some even (he says sarcastically) follow Jesus. hmmmm.

It is through their preaching (like Joyce) that Feminism (over emphasis on the self importance of women and teaching men as inferior) has been allowed to spread like cancer.

Assemblies of God ordain women, as does the Wagner Institute, so Maggie is only passing on what she's been taught.
she's an ordained minister, with spiritual warfare (demonology) skills.

The righteous are in a place Jesus called "Abrahams Bosom" and "paradise"
Lazarus and the Rich Man is a Parable about the privileged jews passing by and distaining the gentiles. it is a warning about the Kingdom being taken from them, since they did not believe on God's only Son.....but the gentiles who were not seeking God's Righteousness (Christ), received the kingdom with gladness, BY FAITH (Abraham's faith, heirs with him by faith)

Abraham's Bosom is not the abode of the righteous dead.

this parable is one in a string of what is actually one long parable:

Luke 16
The Rich Man and Lazarus
19“There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side.f The rich man also died and was buried, 23and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. 24And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’ 25But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. 26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’ 27And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house— 28for I have five brothersg—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’ 29But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”
