Hi Didy, you are correct!

However, I think you blinked or your computer gliched because your answer arrived late! LOL!

Hey, better late, than never!

Ask a question!! :)
Yeah, sometimes the answer isn't visible when I post mine, but apparently appears after I post.

Is this what you are looking for?

Hey lafftur, when you were talking earlier about the axe head and how it floated to the top when the stick was thrown in, you said something about what it meant...I've always wondered what the spirit of the story might be - do you know?
Well, I can only tell you the secret truth that I have gleaned. There's always more! You can go as deep as you want and never reach the end. :)

Story is found in 2 Kings 6:1-6

The old dwelling place of the prophets which is not sufficient anymore is symbolic of our old nature, old man, old dying bodies.

The Jordan is a place of "judgment" preparing for a new dwelling with Jesus. Thus, John the baptist baptized in the Jordan River telling people to prepare the way of the Lord.

Elisha agreeing to go with them is the "presence of the Lord" being with us in judgment to deliver us because He wants to dwell with us. Emanuel - God with us.

The tree that was being cut down when the iron ax head fell into the water was Jesus body dying on the cross preparing His dwelling place with us. Notice the ax head was iron - iron means bondage and head means authority.

The iron ax head falling into the water was Satan being stripped of his authority to hold us in bondage anymore. We cried out for Jesus to save us from Satan's bondage - "Alas, Master! For it was borrowed!

The new stick that Elisha throws into the water is Jesus' body being buried and his new body resurrected. It causes the iron ax head to float - Jesus now takes authority and all judgment passes to Him and He is now able to always deliver us from the bondage of sin.

Elisha tells the man to "Pick it (iron ax head) up for yourself." Each of us individually must reach and grab hold of Jesus.

The new dwelling places being prepared on the Jordan will one day be the Feast of Tabernacles when we celebrate and dwell in our new bodies with our Beloved!

Hope this made sense and was easy to understand. Thanks for asking! :)

What kind of knocking accompanied the handwriting of God's finger on the wall that terrified the Babylonian king Belshazzar?

What kind of bird did God miraculously provide for the Israelites, who had grown tired of manna?
