1.israel's son Joseph.
2. Mary's husband Joseph.
3. Joseph of Arimathaea
4. Joseph called Barnabas.
Like I said 3 because as far as I can figure Joseph as stepfather of Jesus and Joseph of Arimathia are the same person.

Well color me confused I never have heard of the two Joseph's being "different" but according to Luke he is referred to as a "man" not Jesus's father as well as a "counsellor" not a carpenter odd that I never knew of this!

LOL! "Color me confused"! I love that saying! :)

The last mention of Joseph is when Jesus is 12 years old in the temple. After that, I'm not sure what happens to Joseph. I assume he had died and is not alive with Jesus dies on the cross because Jesus tells John to take care of Mary.

I can see the difficulty. The man who, apparently, taught Jesus carpentry was from Nazareth. Joseph of Arimathaea was from Arimathaea, was wealthy, and also a counselor of some sort.

That is a pretty good saying.

Yeah still I'm surprised that noone had taught me this in church, everytime Arimathea was mentioned I presumed it to be Jesus's step father/surrogate father!
