where are you from originally?

fire ants and I had a war going on...one morning, went to put on my shoes I had left outside and they had started a nest in one of them

now that's just not right LOL!

I actually have scars on my ankles...I used to walk around barefoot in the grass but quit it really quick down there
Born in Pa. Arizona will be my next state. Scorpions and snakes I can live with.

Oi, Chester, I missed that! Utah meant that God was the answer. But, this is about a place, not a person or personage.

London? Yeah, I imagine it to be like Chicago or New York, a mess.
...or Detroit.

After 4 pages of fluff, its become very apparent that Jonteel hasn't got a clue either. There's no "place" that God did not create, but certainly there are "things" God did not create. God did not create sin, and God did not create the hole in my sock, I take full credit for that myself.. :)
Speaking of socks... Did God create the place where that one sock disappears to when I'm doing laundry? (Its never the one with the hole in it either). Blah!

Stunned by grace. I have been awol until now. I was warned that 126 posts would get me in trouble. Several veterans warned me off the original idea. I will do my best to keep out of trouble. Not my best talent...
Feel free to write all of the posts that you want. There is no such rule against this. Prolific posters keep the forums going.

Back on topic lol....this "place" proposed as "God did not create" is from a non Christian perspective. Basically if God is good then He could not have created it. The problem is that God did create all things and all things created were due to His Will. Gods Will is something that we cannot fully comprehend. There are certain things and places that people will say "if God is good then He wouldnt allow or create such things". Why God allows certain things is beyond our comprehension due to His Sovereingty. We actually dont know why God would allow or create certain things because His "thinking" is so much higher than ours. This is where faith comes in to play. Do we have faith that all things work for the good of those who love Him? If so then there are actually things that we can only have faith in knowing that God is in control. Everything has a reason and purpose whether we fully understand it or not. Faith is key in understanding that we dont have to know "why" when it comes to certain things of God. If God wanted us to know all the reasons then He would have told us. Faith is trust in the things we dont understand. Let those things belong to God alone and have faith in Him.

Yea I saw that too, didn't look real, but they said it wasn't doctored or anything. That was one big gator indeed... :)

I have always wondered about those disappearing socks too. In the US there are 319 million people - all with socks. Ok...so, let's say that they lose one sock per month - that is 319 million x 12 per year. Add 10 years unto this and we have :

83,820,000,000 socks missing in action.

Where are these creatures? Is there a "sock heaven" that we don't know about?

This is interesting...where an object has light shining on it, there is no shadow. It is on the side that is turned away from the light source (the back side) that the shadow appears. The shadow appears because it is the spot where there is less light.

Artists do not draw or paint objects. I know it looks like they do. But what they draw or paint is just the effects of light and shadow. You cannot portray an orange without light and shadow. It would just appear as an orange circle and would not look like an orange.

Even someone who is not an artist can try this experiment to know that it is so. From memory, without looking at a nose, try to draw the shape of it. You will only end up having drawn a symbol of what you imagine a nose to look like. But then, look at an actual nose and try to draw it and you will be doing nothing more than drawing spots of shadow to portray it. It is the effect of light on an object that gives it its' turning or three dimentionalness.
This reminds me of a preacher I was listening to. He said Peters shadow was not a good thing. What you've said might "throw some light" on his reason for saying this, but I still can't connect why people would be healed unless it wasn't really his shadow that healed. Maybe I misunderstood?

My Lord that would be one big dresser to hold all those socks in sock heaven... :)

Ah, well then, you have answered her question. God did not, in fact, create the place where your socks go. The catholic church did.
Yes thanks for clarifying that...haha

The socks are smarter than us. They have figured out how to travel to other dimensions. Somewhere there is a dimension in which they have the opposite problem of us...why do socks multiply in the wash??!

LOL..that's a good one. We call that thinking outside of the box only in this case "it's thinking outside of the washing machine".

Still that is a lot of socks. Now factor in the world's population and it is mind blowing the amount of socks that go AWOL.

Someone, somewhere, is obviously collecting them for a reason. If we find the reason why anyone would need that much fabric, we will probably be able to follow that to who the heck is doing it...

We may actually discover him and get them all back, so the best thing to do is make sure you put your initials in all of your socks so no one will claim them falsely...
