jonteel, I have some suggestions.
First, it is of course obvious that very few people understood what you were saying. There's not just one reason for that. It's a combination:

They're snotty and distrustful of strangers.

They have flesh problems (Gods' working with all of us on it).

Your attempt to spread the 16 questions out into different threads didn't work as you'd planned because people are no longer going to work to tease out a theme to understand. (I know, brother, makes me sad too!) They live in the age of drive-thrus, thirty minutes or less, and google. Their attention span and their desire to dig are sometimes about that of a gnat (and sometimes I'm that way too).

You have your own fears, and assume they won't listen. Well, there are some of them who won't. I've listened to them for awhile now and I can tell you they won't and they will be nasty and unloving and will sneer at everything. But there are others who will, if you stay and don't give up.

So the problems are widespread but not insurmountable. I suggest you begin one thread and try to relate again what you are saying. I gathered it, but it required the patience of going back and forth between quite a few threads to not miss any of your posts. And what I gathered was this: There are millions (or a large number) of atheists and agnostics who may be so because we have gotten something wrong - a skewed definition/understanding - and so we haven't given them a good answer. You used the example of the man who worked with Billy Graham. And so, if we have created a problem for some, we need to correct it to win those our Lord loves.

I understood what you had to say and I agree that we can answer this question for them that we have not been able to for so long. So my suggestion is to slow down, work from one thread, do not be afraid of their taunts or their hard foreheads and just speak what He's given you. Listen, at least two of us understood. We know how to go forward with this. We're going to study the beginning of Genesis together when I find my notes on it. I tried to share them years ago and did not get a good response, but I will try again and it will help because it will tie in what you are saying.
Hey, I don't agree with you on everything here, but you do give some very good advice to Jonteel.

This thread plays out as a bizzare game show... with Jonteel living out his dream as an enthusiastic game show host.

Well, as long as everyone has been having fun this episode, that's all that matters! :p
Aaaand... It looks like the fun is over :(

In any case Jonteel, living in fear is a horrible feeling for any human. It doesn't matter what the source is or where specifically it comes from. This is not from God.

I pray God takes you by the hand and comforts you, so you can turn your thoughts to Him.

Focus on whatever is good, lovely, pure, honest and praiseworthy. This includes unicorns and matching fuzzy socks (sans holes)... all warm and fresh from the dryer, of course.

stay away from me....far far away! Lol

Stunned, that's how I study too! It's the ONLY way to see how words produce thought! I bet you love the Hebrew language too, right?
Ummm...no! From what little I know of the Hebrew language, it is schizophrenia-inducing. HAHA!
One word can mean EITHER: big or little. One word can mean EITHER: now or then!
It's impossible! LOL

I spent some time with a Jewish family on some holidays for a few years. They have this either/or thing built into them, I think!
They would always say something, but mean the exact opposite! And if you didn't happen to catch the look on their face or some wink or subtle body language, you didn't even KNOW they really meant the opposite of what they were saying! :D

That's surprising to me. It's the very reason I love the Hebrew. It's poetic and paints a picture with words. And it's why one would go into the roots of the words to get true meaning.

But, that's ok. Holy Spirit must speak both fluently. ;)

now, I'm caught up. And I feel real bad about this. This is good advice stunned. I would say too that a sense of humor goes a long way when opposed.

I hope you reconsider Jonteel. There's really great people here. But, I also understand how you feel. Have been in your shoes many times.

Every Hebrew LETTER is a picture of something. :)
Since it does not frustrate you, I am sure I will learn a lot about it from you. :)

The ancient Hebrew letters are pictures, yes. That too is beyond me.

By the way, SOF, I posted that study. You might have to go to pg 2 or 3 of the threads to find it by now!

I listened to it. (You know I like to listen to that man speak. :))
It could be as he says, I guess, that the thing he prayed for three times was that he stop being persecuted...
The truth is, no one knows for sure.
It could be as Prince supposes. It could be a physical discomfort of another sort. It could be something like satan was allowed to bring on Job.

I don't really go for the eye thing simply because it is a guess on the part of men that the root words for the word thorn could possibly be a combination of the eye thing and the leg thing. That's not like when they're sure of a root. It's a guess. Probably a well educated guess, but...the truth is we don't know for sure.

I guess I go with a physical ailment or discomfort of body because of Job.

Oppps...it is in the full longer version where the Hebrew letters are talked about more - not in the short one I gave you....sorry.
