I wasn't aware of that. I had asked you if you had any insight into adultery beyond what Jesus taught us in the Bible. He quoted this Bible verse:

You have heard that it was said, `You shall not commit adultery.' Matt 5:27 RSV

I didn’t see how it added any insight. I was already aware that we aren’t supposed to commit adultery.
Try opening up that Bible of yours and reading that in context. Maybe then you will get the point Jesus was making about people who think like you.

Yes, Jesus said this:

But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matt 5:28 RSV
I did repost saying that I missed verse 28, I thought I'd copied both 27/28 but it only copied 27.

Sorry if I caused confusion.

No, Jesus said we aren't supposed to look lustfully at people, so I try not to look lustfully at people. I find that trying to do things his way brings great peace into my life.

You keep on trying, and get back to me when you are successful. Okay?

???

Who said that?
That seems to be what FreeNChrist is saying. I keep trying to impress him that sin brings trouble into our lives, and he keeps saying, "I am not under the law," as if resisting the temptation to sin is a useless pastime.

You want less sin? Get yourself out from under that Law.

To be honest i don't think he is saying that. He is saying I am not under the law that was given to Israel.
Thats the Old Coventant and not the New Covenant.

FreeinChrist can you expand on your thoughts.

Whats to expand on? Christians are not under the Law. If someone takes that truth to somehow mean that they don't have to resist temptation isn't that for them to explain?

But I have found that resisting the temptation to sin has made my life very beautiful. I don't understand why anyone would want to vilify my my sharing this message. He has called me a heretic.

You know why you are a heretic. Do you really want to go there?
