ORIGINAL SIN + SUBSTITUTION = A LETHAL COMBINATION!
Ecc 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.
The unanimous teaching coming out of the pulpits, seminaries, Christian colleges, and churches today, are that you were born a sinner, inherited this sin nature from Adam, and will always be a sinner, as it’s a disease, and inbred into your physical body! Then they come up with a way out of this inbred sin nature, and invented the great covering, aka, substitution.
Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Rom 5:12-21
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Why does it say death passed upon all men if we weren't affected by the fall?
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Eph 2:1-3
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Pelagianism, which is what Tommy teaches, denies that humanity inherited the Adamic nature and thus we are not born depraved. This position is heresy. It's only Jesus that was born without sin, not you Tommy, not me. Okay? That man is born in sin shows our need of Jesus Christ for salvation.

The early church never taught the sin nature false gospel, I would encourage you to study early church history before you try and conclude man was born depraved, God made man upright, but he sought out his own ways, another words God has given all His creation free will and ability to choose to repent and follow Him, or not!

Tommy,
I would encourage you not only to read Paul but hold him as a higher authority over the early church fathers.

I don't think that's what it means, that "it was imputed into the male DNA" (it being sin?)

1. because DNA doesn't work that way. you get half from mom and half from dad, therefore Mary would have some of Adam's DNA in her.

2. sinful flesh refers to the current human body and how after Jesus died He got a new Resurrected body, because this body we now have is going to die and decays every day.

3. however God is able to give life and meaning to this flesh by having us be living epistles to the world

4. the Genesis passage is speaking of spiritual not physical SEED.

Romans 8:2-4

King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]2 [/SUP]For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
The imputation would have occurred after the division.

the truth is Tommy you don't understand the teaching of total depravity or these verses:

Romans 5

the concept of total depravity just teaches that without God man can do nothing good.

answer this: why do all people choose to sin?

could it because of the lust of their flesh, pride of life, lust of the eye?
Doesn't that just prove the point? Sin didn't occur until the woman saw that the fruit was good and desirable.

when were you born from above?
don't you remember the old you?
I do and have found God always had a hand in my life which led me to him. It isn't possible to receive his love without seeing His love when you were at your worst.
