The holy spirit will not force himself on you
God is not force
if you want the demon he will leave.
As I mentioned above, if the Holy Spirit leaves a person then He is no longer Omnipresent, by definition.

Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things;
and so is also the Holy Ghost,
whom God hath given to them that obey him.

When Paul told the pharisees that the holy spirit is given only to those that obey Gods word, what did the pharisees do?

What do pharisees always do?

Acts 5:33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

Dan you are wrong. and here is the proof.... Jesus tells us what to do with demons and bodies of people that are posessed by demons and how to PREVENT demons to enter AGAIN....

Scripture, and please not this happens to the WICKET GENERATION, not God's People... Matthew 12:43 to 45.... When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Mat 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
Mat 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

The whole Bible teaches us about places God provide to be safe from all evil. God provedes so much SHIELD for us against Satan and evil spirits. God set out places we can run into and be safe. But we have to be RIGHTEOUS to enter. NO wicket can enter into the kingdom. Not one small place of the kingdom of God is a place for Satan or his angels. NOt even unclean people can enter into the kingdom or the SAFE-ROOMS/TOWER/HEAVENLY PLACES.

Dan look at this.... The Name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous run into it and they are safe. Dan please know that NO EVIL CAN ENTER INTO THIS TOWER, NO EVIL! If it can then God is weaker than evil.

Now you are touching on a different concept. The bible says we are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. That implies a different relationship to Believers than to unbelievers that the Holy Spirit must have. I have been thinking about this as well.

Still to be all knowing, God must know the thoughts and feelings of an unbeliever to judge them correctly. Remember Jesus said even impure thoughts are sin, so God must judge every thought in all. Lust is a sinful desire, a feeling. So God must also know everyone's feelings.

So the Holy Spirit must be omnipresent and omniscient.

Keep in mind that I have never had a person say "the Holy Spirit does not want to be in a demon possessed person". They say it is impossible for a the Holy Spirit to be in a demon possessed person and this is what I have been discussing.

Omnipresent means present everywhere. If you claim God chooses not to be at a certain place then by definition, He is still no longer omnipresent. I fully believe as most Christians do that Holy Spirit is Omnipresent (present everywhere). However,
some Christians also claim it is impossible for the Holy Spirit to be in the same body. If this is true then God does not dwell where ever a demon does. This would mean by definition God is not omnipresent. So clearly something is wrong as God is omnipresent!
Under your definition of 'omnipresent' I guess you would be willing to say that the Holy Spirit dwells in a demon?
Perhaps a distinction between 'everywhere present' and 'dwelling in'?

Merrium-Webster says Omnipresent is: "present in all places at all times".

So if God is Omnipresent He must also be in non-believers and in demons.

As I mentioned above, God must have a special relationship with Christians that differs with non-believers. I believe the Holy Spirit is much more intimate with Christians than non-Christians.

The false gospel wants the easy way, no repentance necessary
Dont need to follow or read that old Bible they say,
dont need to do anything, they say, why I have the spirit!

Most have the wrong spirit
the wrong spirit disregards the Bible
makes it of none effect
dont need it no more
that is the enemy spirit

The holy spirit is not confusion but sober and serious and with great power of the word. noble kind
he always points to the word of God

1 Pet 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;1 Pet 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
1 Pet 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1 Pet 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

The false spirits jabber, peep and mutter
make no sense
confusion
Are of the enemy

Isa 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits,
and unto wizards that peep,
and that mutter:
should not a people seek unto their God?
for the living to the dead?

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony:
if they speak not according to this word,
it is because there is no light in them.

This might blow your mind...

The hand and power of God is everywhere, but His Spirit isn't.

This technically proves the omnipresent of God. Where He keeps balance in existence is done by His hand and power, making His presence ever present, but His appearance isn't. Do you see my perspective?

His working is present everywhere, but His appearance isn't.

Think on this while you think about the tabernacle, temple, and Ark of God of the OT.

7 I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
8 If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave, you are there.
9 If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.
11 I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night—
12 but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.
To you the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.

I am going to have to disagree with you based on the above verse. God is everywhere but with the natural eye we can not see His presence.

Exactly my friend! You see what God can do, not His appearance! Didn't God tell Moses that if a mortal man saw His glory or face they would surely die? You are on to something! His Spirit is working ever present, but His appearance isn't.

Can a Christian be demon possessed? Can a Christian be demonized?

Q
uestion: "Can a Christian be demon possessed? Can a Christian be demonized?"

Answer:
While the Bible does not explicitly state whether a Christian can be possessed by a demon, related biblical truths make it abundantly clear that Christians cannot be demon possessed. There is a distinct difference between being possessed by a demon and being oppressed or influenced by a demon. Demon possession involves a demon having direct/complete control over the thoughts and/or actions of a person (Matthew 17:14-18;Luke 4:33-35;8:27-33). Demon oppression or influence involves a demon or demons attacking a person spiritually and/or encouraging him/her into sinful behavior. Notice that in all the New Testament passages dealing with spiritual warfare, there are no instructions to cast a demon out of a believer (Ephesians 6:10-18). Believers are told to resist the devil (James 4:7;1 Peter 5:8-9), not to cast him out.

Christians are indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9-11;1 Corinthians 3:16;6:19). Surely the Holy Spirit would not allow a demon to possess the same person He is indwelling. It is unthinkable that God would allow one of His children, whom He purchased with the blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19) and made into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), to be possessed and controlled by a demon. Yes, as believers, we wage war with Satan and his demons, but not from within ourselves. The apostle John declares, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Who is the One in us? The Holy Spirit. Who is the one in the world? Satan and his demons. Therefore, the believer has overcome the world of demons, and the case for demon possession of a believer cannot be made scripturally.

With the strong biblical evidence that a Christian cannot be demon possessed in view, some Bible teachers use the term “demonization” to refer to a demon having control over a Christian. Some argue that while a Christian cannot be demon possessed, a Christian can be demonized. Typically, the description of demonization is virtually identical to the description of demon possession. So, the same issue results. Changing the terminology does not change the fact that a demon cannot inhabit or take full control of a Christian. Demonic influence and oppression are realities for Christians, no doubt, but it is simply not biblical to say that a Christian can be possessed by a demon or demonized.

Much of the reasoning behind the demonization concept is the personal experience of seeing someone who was “definitely” a Christian exhibiting evidence of being controlled by a demon. It is crucially important, though, that we do not allow personal experience to influence our interpretation of Scripture. Rather, we must filter our personal experiences through the truth of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Seeing someone whom we thought to be a Christian exhibiting the behavior of being demonized should cause us to question the genuineness of his/her faith. It should not cause us alter our viewpoint on whether a Christian can be demon possessed / demonized. Perhaps the person truly is a Christian but is severely demon oppressed and/or suffering from severe psychological problems. But again, our experiences must meet the test of Scripture, not the other way around.

Matthew 12:22-37

New International Version (NIV)

Jesus and Beelzebul

22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23 All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”
24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.”
25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29 “Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
30 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. 31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. 35 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Cobus,

If it is impossible for person indwelt by a demon to have the Holy Spirit, then that person can never be saved, as you believe, because that is the work of the Holy Spirit. People like to place restrictions on where can can and can not go. For example, one knowledgeable christian told me God can not go into Hell. Out of the other corner of their mouth they say God is all powerful, all knowing and omnipresent.

Those who claim it is impossible for God to be inside a person who is indwelt by a demon, violate scripture!

That is a nice copy and paste but I thought we were discussing if the Holy Spirit can or con not enter into a person indwelt by a demon.

However, since you have raised the question, I would like you to view this video and see if a Christian can be possessed or not.

So if God is Omnipresent He must also be in non-believers and in demons.
Not according to scripture.

Notice that there are people (i.e. the unregenerate) who do not have the Spirit of Christ in them…

Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

I agree with crossnote. There is a difference between indwelling of the Holy Spirit and His omnipresence.

Dan the TWO does not mix. Either the Holy Spirit is in the person or demons, NEVER BOTH. Why do you not understand what God says? It is the other way around.... The Holy Spirit ONLY moves into CLEANSED people. If He moves into a body where the evil spirits are, they will leave so quickly that the flesh might even explode! What is so difficult for you to understand?

Here is the answer to the question... Can a HOLY SPIRIT FILLED PERSON BE DEMON POSESSED? NEVER! Got is DAN? Please my friend it is no so difficult. If God claims ANYTHING for HIMSELF, Satan has NO jurisdiction, posession claim or entrant to what belongs to God. If God made me HIS CHILD, Satan CANNOT ENTER!

You have the wrong way around. The Holy Spirit does not want to be in the ame house as evil. It is why God calls it purification/sanctification... The Holy Spirit cleans a house before he moves in... Remember the order.... Called, sanctified/justified and then glorified... the Holy Spirit only moves in with the glorification.

Do not turn it around... The Holy Spirit and Satan CANNOT be in one body, NEVER! God first get rid of the evil, then HE fills it with Good.

And once the GOOD is in EVIL CANNOT ENTER... NEVER! God is the victorer in EVERY meeting with Satan... NEVER the other way around.

There is a difference between being in God's presence and belonging to Him. Twice in the Book of Job, we see satan entering into God's presence as he mixes himself among the angels. God and satan even dialog. Yet Christians claim God can not tolerate the presence of satan. So if a person who is indwelt by a demon prays the sinners prayer with all sincerity of heart, mind and soul, God will enter him/her because that person now belongs to him, right?

'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. Rev. 3:20
So if Jesus enters a demon indwelt person, will the demons flee? Is this a way of casting demons out, by simply asking Jesus in?
