Calvinism is the Gospel. Google that statement.
I do not get my doctrine from google. i get it from the word.

Calvanism is a theological belief. As apposed to Arminianism, catholicism, Romanism, etc etc.

people who do not agree with calvanism are saved, if calvanism was the gospel. Every0one who disagreed with it would be going to hell.

Secondly I don't have you on ignore, I just look forward to your next lie or for you to be a man and admit, apologize. I expect neither from you.

You've unashamedly lied about me. Which is fine, it's you and an extension of your hyper no works save yourself while dead in sins false gospel.

As answer to your above? Nothing you teach is theological or Gospel. Your belief is philosophical and traditional error, and denies the words of Christ which is why you must keep twisting what you said a few posts back into something new.
Keep it up dude, You can say I lied about you a million times, I already proved I did not lie, yet while you keep judging me as a liar, you keep refusing to prove how I did lie

Now who is lieing? I do not believe I can save myself. So practice what you preach, and stop lieing.

What I am not understanding then is why it is so personal, you gave me scripture and I responded.

Well, all I can say if a system of theology has everything all worked out then it should stand up to some questioning and challenge.

If you were to question what I believe is the Gospel, it would be very unusual that I would take it personally, unless I was being quite insecure in my understanding.

Well my intent was not to mischaracterize, I was just trying to say to you, that there is no room to even try to see it very a different lens.

Anyway its fine, I was a Calvinist and I am happy to say I am no longer.

I will say one more thing... free will versus God's Soveregnty (as in total control) is just error refuting error, it never works. :)
Here's why its so personal to me. God is my Father. If you insult the Holy Spirit, which EG did when he typed "The HS acts as a human spirit", then you've insulted my Father.

Same with my earthly father, God rest his soul, if someone said something insulting about him and it was also a falsehood, don't you expect me to come to his defense?

When someone insults my God, my Father, my Saviour, expect backlash, and quick.

I do not see that this negates what I said, but thanks for sharing that.

I find this system of thought thinking very illogical and I always did even when I believed it.

If man’s repentance was God’s choice, not man’s choice, God would be responsible for all of the impenitence of the world. The reason that men would be impenitent is because God has not caused them to repent.

I can see not other way to look at it.

Anyway maybe I can pick this up another time

Granted in the Greek is didōmi, and it means...

--to give
--to give something to someone
--to bestow a gift
--to furnish, endue
--to commission

There are other meanings of that word, as well. But God granting repentance, is not Him bestowing an opportunity, but bestowing the gift of repentance to someone.

Yeah keep it up. I did not lie about you, I proved what I said, You claimed we must be made alive BEFORE we repent,, and you did not deny it, so you proved I did not lie.
You proved none of the sort, just one more lie son. You did lie, and you're still lying. I never said we must be made alive before we repent Here's what you claimed I said:

"You have people alive while still in sin."

I never said that. You're lying. You are actually the one who claimed your own quote when you said we repent while dead in sin. Nice try, that is your belief not mine. Do you have no fear of God or any manhood within you to just do this without fear????

You wan to keep acting like a spoiled kid and blame shift, that just shows your maturity level. If this sounds harsh, thats to bad, You want to be treaded like an adult. Learn to act like one.
And after lying and pointing a finger calling others as attacking you do the above? Lots of callow name calling. I'm learning a lot about what and who you are and it isn't pretty.

Well a discussion board is far from a perfect mode of communication and I think EG clarified quite well.

So backlash and quick .....okay good to know.

The funny thing is I believe that the tenets of Calvinism are an insult, a very deep insult to the love of God.

Well, you are the last one who follows the tenets of Calvinism I would converse with, but thanks for the warning.

Have a good night.

Man can not repent because he is dead. Inwardly, he is a spiritual corpse. It is when God quickens them to life, they are also bestowed the gifts of faith and repentance and are saved. Its a simultaneous occurrence.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)[Ephesians 2:4,5]

While we were dead, God made us alive. Nowhere does it say we had to do something/anything before God made us alive. When He made us alive, we exercised faith and repentance, and were saved. This all happened at the exact same time.

Just read Romans 8:29,30 and it also supports this.

What God grants is an opportunity not an action.

Scripture needs to be consistent.

Scripture is clear that God does not want any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2Peter 3:9

Acts 11:18, states, “God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life.”

Under your way of thinking then every Gentile is given this gift of repentance, which we know is not so.
God granted them repentance. Nowhere does it say an opportunity. God granted, gave them, repentance.

There he goes again, Attack attack attack.

everyone who disagrees with him is ignorant. SMH

Not everyone who disagrees with me is ignorant, but you two are definitely ignorant of the Gospel. You have people dead spiritually in sin repenting, and if they didn't perform this miracle God couldn't save them. John 6:63 shows the utter foolishness of your false and humanistic gospel. But you will not adjust your teachings under Christ's words.

They see God not securing salvation for his people, Matthew 1:21, but only securing a chance to be saved. Wow. Total ignorance! He saved no one, he only offered an opportunity. Lol!

You insult my God with your belief. But thats ok.

I gave God credit for making sure all people have the ability to chose him, for making them able to understand based on HIS POWER on nbot their own power.

Yet you say I cut God down..

smh!! Like I said, you attack what you do not understand.

Just goes to show. Do as I say not as I do.

I already proved what I meant, You had no come back against it. So you made your own bed.

I posted this on the last page, and in case you missed it, here it is again...

The way they see God's calling is like a mother calling out to her children that supper is ready, and those who respond to that call, eat. Those who refuse her calling them, will not eat.

But how we see it is this mother goes out and finds her wandering children and graciously leads them to the table to eat the food she has prepared for them. And what a spread it is!!

Soli Deo Gloria!!

I agree with what you are saying here.

I also agree with EGs response in the role of the Holy Spirit in a non-believer's life

It is a term, Your human spirit is dead. So the things of God is foolishness to you. The HS has to take the things of God and make them not foolish to you (ie act as a human spirit)

1. To teach you about your condemnation
2. To teach you Gods provision
3. To show you the guilt
4. To make the cross understandable

because if these things do not occurre You will never repent. If you do not repent, you will never come to faith, if you never come to faith, your sins will never be forgiven if your sins are never forgiven, you will go to eternity in your sin, and will suffer the second death.

Otherwise as I said in another post, God is culpable for the impenitence of those to whom he has not granted repentance.

God is culpable to no man. Remember, God is not beholden to any man, yet, He sent His Son to die for a # that no man can #. That's grace, that's unmerited favour.

God did not have to save anyone, yet He chose a # that no man can #, gave them to His Son to be their Surety. He saw they had no way to get back to Him, so He sent His Son to die to make the way for them a reality, not an opportunity.

But the Holy Spirit is not acting like a human spirit. Man's spirit is born dead in sin, and to liken the Holy Spirit to that is utter blasphemy. Why is he allowed to do that?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?

EG’ supposed lie.

preacher4truth said we we must be made alive before we can repent, this we are made alive before we have faith, this we are made alive while still guilty of sin.

EG’s proof.

Isn't that is what is amazing about this whole entire thing? No man is able, but he calls. No man can repent while dead in sins, but he calls to repentance.
Now. Next time you want to call a person a liar Make sure they can not prove you wrong.

There you go again having people made alive spiritually before sin is forgiven (justification)

You gonna still call me a liar?

Here's the thing. These 2 and many more will never lift a finger to study, 2 Timothy 2:15. They will only mock others, rarely use Scripture and will repeat the same errors and traditions over and again. Bearing false witness also is one tool of theirs. Context and exegesis does not matter to them. They are not interested in learning but in arguing on a forum. I wonder if they even crack open their Bible's or if they've ever read through it?

Lol.He granted them repentance because he died for them.

igf he did not die for them, he could not grant them repentance, because they could repent all they want God could not grant it to them.
