Hi Theonewhodressesinred: By the evaluation you gave, over 95% of those who profess Christ as Savior are not really saved, because most all Christians I know believe and teach a false pre-trib rapture. The false pre-trib rapture is an obvious deception since Jesus taught just the opposite. It is designed to blow the church away when the Antichrist and the tribulation show up rather then Jesus and the rapture. My question was and still is, how can we call these bible teachers great spiritual people, when they obviously cannot discern the difference between being lead by the Spirit and being rebuked by the Spirit. We are living in troubling times folks. There is something terribly wrong when church leaders are resisting the Holy Spirit in the area of Christ return and accepting a deceiving spirit.

Pottersclay: Why did I study the doctrine of Christ return?, glad you asked. Briefly, having a passion to know what God is telling us through His word I have studied the bible daily since 18 years of age. At an early age I wondered about the pre-trib rapture because I could clearly read in Matt 24 that Jesus said that He would return after the tribulation. Like most folks I accepted pre-trib because I liked the idea. However the Spirit of God kept after me that I had better read the bible carefully and see what it actually had to say on the subject. So finally I sat down one day and decided to look at the evidence for pre-trib and the evidence for post-trib. I remember, after I had read all in the NT that literally described the return of Christ and the gathering of the church, I sat there for about an hour completely amazed. There is NO pre-trib rapture in the bible, the bible teaches a post-trib rapture of the church. Also the tribulation is not the wrath of God it is the wrath of Satan...big difference. The truth is right there for anyone to read and believe...if they are willing.
