Poor Johnny Mac, if only he had enquired of sevenseas prior to preaching against heresy. Who knows, maybe he could have been hoodwinked into compromising truth for error in the name of "love".

It amazes me these folks who talk about how unloving those who point out the wolves are, while, you know, ridiculing them and calling them names, and attempting to appear more "spiritual".

More wolves in sheep's clothing.
It takes wolves on both sides of the argument to keep it going..... didn't you know that?

Malice and the slandering of others in the body of Christ are in the same lists as those that live a homosexual lifestyle. These are all works of the flesh and they are no different.
So, are you saying you want to be a..... yeah, "one of those"?

Not always . Those defending the flock like a good shepherd will not not stop until the last wolf is dead or has ran for the hills.

No, I didn't know that, mostly because it's completely untrue. ;)
Not trying to ruffle any feathers or anything, but after a few years you see things on here. I've seen wolves on both sides wreaking havoc on the BDF.

You see, sometimes there will be somebody on our side arguing with the other side, & for a while seems to make some headway. The next thing you know, they're acting hostile with the other side & get themselves banned. It's purposely done so they can destroy our rep & witness so they can look like the "good guys".

If that doesn't work in their favor, they don't care, because the true side's rep has been destroyed, leaving confusion instead.

Either way, Satan wins.

Christ isn't being preached in that video.
One could argue and I will not, that Christ is not being preached in either video. One could also state both videos are blasphemous, depending on a persons theology and beliefs.

I see both videos as extreme examples of the doctrines of demons.

In an effort to debunk the other, one quenches all moves of the Spirit, while the other shows nothing but flesh manifesting in ways that is driven by the flesh.

This hits a nerve for me,perhaps I shouldn't comment at all. But I feel I should warn people. Not only did I see this in my travels but I experienced this first hand when I lived in Canada. The "Toronto Blessing" came to my church. The pastor there was whole hog for it. Of course its a way to generate excitement in church. And it did.People came from miles around. I cant tell you the things I saw. There was "being drunk" as in the video where they fell all over you and on to the floor. Then there was "laughing in the spirit" so mix those together. Then there was "birthing in the spirit" where they would lay on the floor and act like they were birthing a baby. The pastor who I knew all my life, encouraged all of this. We didn't get the gold in the teeth, feathers from the rafters but we got a good dose. We were gonna have us a super church. Big shiny one like in the States. I knew that was the motivation.I sang in front of this crowd and if you've ever seen the movie "Jumangi" that would about explain it. One side of the church looked like they had lost their flippin minds and the other side,my side, sat in stunned silence looking at the mayhem taking over the church. It looked quite funny, looking down at the two sides. Funny except for the fact that my aunt had taken stomach cancer, she had to have her stomach removed and then another sweet sister in the church took cancer at the same time. So while the church was trying to pray and believe as my aunt fell more ill this nonsense swirled on around us. My aunt fell more and more ill and she was at the point of deaths door. And every Sunday we had to face a literal zoo of people falling on top of each other, line dancing, birthing while my aunt was dying. She died at the age of 43. While these morons were laughing their brains out and dancing like we were in a nightclub getting their blessings my aunt was dying and another saint struggled for her life. There were no prayers, encouragement just one big ol' party every Sunday. One lady said laughing her butt of that she "wasn't even saved" To say we were outraged is an understatement. Please dont tell me these buffoons are in the "spirit" trust me,they are not!! That pastor left,we helped him along, and all the "spirit" left with him. He went to a church on another part of the country and every one of these people left. None of them stayed.I wonder why? As someone who has faced this foolishness, this "spirit" is not from the Lord. Not even close. When you are so out of your head that you scare Pentecostals there's somethin wrong with you!!
Sorry this happened. I have experienced foolishness like this and we walked out immediately.

Uuummm..... no. This did not come from the Pentecostal Movement, it came from the charismatic movement, which, BTW, has nothing to do with the Pentecostal movement. The Pentecostal movement has its troubles with WOF & the Prosperity doctrine, which infiltrated thru the televangelists.

I do agree though that they have problems with tongues because I grew up in it & saw it firsthand.

Don't feel bad about your statement though, for many believe the two are related, & folks have been taught that on purpose to destroy the reputation of the Pentecostal Movement.

John MacArthur does this in his strange fire teachings. He has already prejudged all Pentecostals as "not of God".
The Charismatic movement was once called neo-Pentecostalism. There is a direct line to the Azusa street revival that took place in 1906. This paved the way for the originally much smaller Word Faith movement that started with Christian Science in the late 1800s and eventually there were some cross-overs in practices, namely extreme emphasis on "gifts of the Holy Spirit", and the eventual undermining and corruption of the Gospel. Pentecostalism was rejected by mainline Christianity for the first 50 years it was around.

No. The charismatic movement started predominately in the RCC in the early 60's.

I don't know where it started(charismatic movement), however by the 80s there were a lot of Baptist joined up because they believed the gifts of the Spirit were still in effect. My first impression of a charismatic church was positive because they stood up and really praised the Lord(so it seemed to me), however after being there a while I noticed a lack of stability in their walk with the Lord, they seem to be all over the place, not really knowing the truth of God on many issues.

The WOF movement did not really fully start until Kennith Hagin Sr. which begin teaching many of EW Kenyon's written works.
Kenyon had some serious flaws in most of his works. One small book is called 2 kinds of righteousness and that was very spot on and from the Bible. Hagin began the prosperity and faith healing movement which both are very wrong.

Soooo...you are unable to discern "smoking marijuana in the Spirit" as blasphemous? WOW!

Thank God you're on track here, I feared your prior questioning. My apologies. :)

I would like to provide more context then I will be done with this post.

First as a mod I get many complainants for many people. which are here in this Thread posting. I do not have time to look at every video . So I asked a specific person for more information. Which that person provided. The comment made after that was a presupposition of my question to that person as you can see.

The apology given was not for what was said, it was given after the person saw I was in agreement with the context that the video actions of the people in it was inappropriate. That was not an apology for the insult . kind of like " i'll slap you in the face and say sorry and i'm ok to do it again. I have no issue with the comment other than it was disrespectful to a Mod.

So I addressed it. If a person has no thought of saying this to a mod I wonder what they say to other here?

In fact I have many of the complaints and comments.

But I understand that we have to be long suffering and a lot of times the complaints to mods are look what member "A" said while forgetting what member "B" said before they made the complaint.

All I did was ask a question. and another member provided an insult those who have discernment can see very clearly the what was said after the mod asked a question and they can see the context of the apology.

I do not taken things personal never have never will but one should respect all the mods. and not assume we have all the information provided on the Thread and will at times from time ask you for help to get the information faster.

Thank you

I believe the prosperity message was based on Abraham and his wealth if I remember correctly. God does prosper His children. But, it was carried far beyond the message of Paul who stated whatever state he was in, he was content.

It's those who receive truth but are carnal and add to it.

The current WOF movement is all about walking in a current state of monetary wealth, the best health and we do not suffer for he cause of Christ anymore.
