I guess...maybe I do understand a little bit...when you say the law is the gatekeeper do you mean...no muderer or adulterer or unclean will enter? So you are speaking about the spirit of the law?
I am meaning the no murderer etc.
The law Jesus and Paul are saying is actually just loving God and loving people despite
sin and the mess they get in.

So to know Gods heart, to be one with Him, will just flow in obedience to the rules that
define sin and evil. It is why the law is not just rules, it is the outworking within the
constraints of life, how we should conduct ourselves if we understand how to love from
the heart.

That is my point exactly. To write off the sermon on the mount is wrong.

It is why I was surprised people did. And I was surprised that people are happy
to change the meaning of words like lawless, evil doers, repentance, confession,
the cross which change the essence of the faith.

So who are you calling despicable?

Christians are no longer under that old schoolmaster, it's why we can and do grow in grace. It's those who remain stuck under that old obsolete system that will never grow to know the difference between good and evil.
Here is the lie, Gods way of salvation is obsolete.

Israel is the nation of salvation of which Christ is the fulfillment.

The words expressed here show the rebellion of your position.
In essence walking in Christ for you is walking still in sin, just with a
covering. Your righteousness is as hypocritical as the teachers of the
law except you admit it openly.

Jesus says you cannot enter heaven, but you interpret this to mean without Christ,
which is 100% reading in what is not there.

When love empowers your heart through the cross by faith nothing can stop you,
Amen. The law is all about love, just like Christ.

Many will claim faith but hard hearts blind them from this truth.
This is the healing hope of the cross, so why deny it, you are denying life eternal.

I never expected those who claim they are not religious turn out to be the most religious
without the power that drives all, love and Godliness.

They show who they are with their rebellion and condemnation of other believers while
claiming to have the truth which denies most of scripture.

Legalism is wrong but so is lawlessness, both miss love. Gods tests are simple, you choose.
Ones eternal reality has always been the question. Do you love from the heart?

Is it possible to get love out of a stone?

Is it possible to get love out of a stone?
Sometimes a stone is a shell hiding a hurt heart, so I always live in hope
for Paul appeared hard yet here we are reading his words 1,000's of years
later still feeling that love and passion the Lord planted there.

I do fear for those who blaspheme and account to the enemy things of God.
We need to let the treasure within shine and leave the rest to God.

Jesus said this about the sermon on the mount

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
Matt 7:24-25

Now here is a quote from a contributor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sermon on the mount was to show the Jews how futile the law was, how only through what Jesus was about to do through His grace and Mercy on the cross to usher in the New Covenant.
Not as basic instruction for how to be a Christian
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So this is actually saying ignore what Jesus is saying, He is saying it all
just to make you feel bad so you will believe in the cross to do everything
for you and your behaviour is irrelevant.

So Jesus is lying about all the issues, and does not expect our righteousness
to be true love coming from the heart, or our prayers to be in secret, or
our love for women to not be adulterous, or our anger not to be constained,
or our giving not to be in secret, or our loving of our enemies not be be like
Gods loving.

This is both rebellion against Jesus's obvious intention repeated by the apostles
and replacing the Law of Christ with lawlessness.

Anyone who teaches like this is disowning Christ and His eternal words and
therefore Jesus will disown before the Father.

But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.
Matt 10:33

As Jesus says in the seed and the sower, if His word does not abide in you and
produce crop of more words, then you are not part of Him.
Your last line As Jesus says in the seed and the sower, if His word does not abide in you and
produce crop of more words, then you are not part of Him.

I don't remember HIM ever saying that
Nor do I remember having the right to add to HIS WORD

Be PERFECT meant be perfect...showing unbiased impartial righteousness before all men in all sitiations
The sermon on the mount validated the weak, imperfect, broken crops over the supposedly strong, supposedly perfect, and supposedly whole crops

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

You have hit on it exactly. Exactly. This is what I've tried to put into words. It is abhorrent.( The idea, I mean, is abhorrent).
