The following are countries that apparetnly have banned the practice of declawing pet cats:

  • England
  • Scotland
  • Wales
  • Italy
  • Austria
  • Switzerland
  • Norway
  • Sweden
  • Ireland
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Slovenia
  • Brazil
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Serbia
  • Montenegro
  • Macedonia
  • Slovenia
  • France
  • Germany
  • Bosnia
  • Malta
  • Netherlands
  • Northern Ireland
  • Portugal
  • Belgium
  • Israel
They don't break the cat's feet however, this woman was not properly informed. On the other hand it is fairly major surgery and requires a very painful recovery period. There are alternatives. Unless of course you want to punish your cat to get even with those people carrying out abortions????
Hmmm, seems to me that this list of Countries you provided consider cats to be "the OTHER white meat" do they not?

Is God going to bring back the dodo, the passenger pigion and all the other extinct species? I've got the feeling you don't really know, but perhaps you can tell me exactly what you mean?

There are hospitals like that where you live? Very sad.
The "passenger pidgin?" Pidgin's got "passengers?"

You mean... "not go extinct."

Atheists are sometimes quite critical of Christians for their lack of concern for the welfare of the environment and those creatures that depend upon it. It is good to see that many Christians here, in response to your question, want other Christians to take upon themselves the role of good stewards of the earth. If I were God I'd be quite put out with those who let the earth die because they didn't care enough about other life forms to preserve them.
:)
what an odd comment..........
(if you were something/someone you don't believe exists........you would......)

See, IF you believed, you would KNOW that man cannot/will not destroy the earth.......that little act is reserved for God.

The first time I have heard anyone else declare this truth. There are many who also are going to help God fulfill what He has foretold. Weird......meanwhile we all should do what we are able to preserve what we have been blessed with during this age, not so much for ourselves but unselfishly for others.

Yes, but the endangered species we are commissioned to save are HUMANS who are spiritually endangered.

Matthew 28:19-20
(New International Version)

19 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 - and teaching them to obey everything I have command you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

I love animals. They are intriguing, instinctively intelligent and fun to watch. God and Jesus loves them too. Proverbs 12:10 says "The righteous one takes care of his domestic animals, But even the mercy of the wicked is cruel." (New World Translation)

I love people more. Jesus loved people also. Preaching and teaching the truth about God and his purposes is what he did and commanded us to do, which animals cannot appreciate.

The Roman government was oppressive toward Jews and when Jesus was on earth he did not get involved. Why? He knew his heavenly Father set a date that is known only to Himself, to end all governments. (Daniel 2:44; Mark 13:32) Jesus' main goal was to preach about this kingdom and what it would do for mankind and subsequently all living creatures.

Getting overly involved in matters outside this can distract us from what Jesus said is most important.

Reaching the hearts of people with the Bible, its laws and principles, will help to change how they treat animals. Otherwise it is like striving after unattainable the wind. Hebrews 4:12; Ecclesiastes 4:4

There are so many groups for so many causes, many good, some against Bible principles and laws. They cannot bring any lasting hope for mankind, only God can and he will use his son Jesus Christ to accomplish it.

Daniel 2:44
(King James 21st Century)

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a Kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the Kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Mark 13:32
(Contemporary English Version)

No one knows the day of the time. The angels in heaven don't know, and the Son himself doesn't know. Only the Father knows.

Hebrews 4:12
(English Standard Version)

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Ecclesiastes 2:17
(English Standard Version Anglicised)

So I hated life, because what is done under the sun was grievous to me, for all is vanity and a striving after wind.

1. Never said anything about the dodo or passenger pigeon as all I did was reference what God said he was going to do..MAKE ALL THINGS NEW
2. Yes we do have "homes" where the elderly are crammed because A. Children wont take care of them, B. Children don't have the money or time, C. The elderly have too many physical problems to take care of them at home and yes they smell like urine.

That's a little too cryptic for me. What are you talking about?

If God does exist, if God created the earth and all life upon it, then presumably he cares something about what we do to the planet. If you think he doesn't care, then perhaps you think the Deists are right?

This is why atheists are sometimes critical of those Christians who hold this belief, as you do. We know that it is possible to so disrupt the environment as to produce mass extinctions. We know that we are part of the web of life and in our own selfish self-interest it is necessary that we act as responsible stewards of the planet's environment. :)

According to the Word there is a prophesy, in the past tense which means it is a sure thing. The earth lies polluted under its inhabitants for the fruit of their doing. God is doing nothing, those helping God to bring about the end of this age are doing nothing, but unbelieiving mankind is doing it all. Is that not odd, just as God foretold. Praise God, amen.

All who love the heavenly Father will cherish the blessings He bestows upon us for what He proposed them. Anyone abusive to His blessings demonstrates his disdain for His goodness and wisdom.
I'm not sure where you get that from. Can you give your source?
