Another crazy theory, Paul wrote a letter to the church of Corinth, because Paul established that church, for what ever reason the church was allowing something to take place in that church, possibly the women in that church were creating havoc or something.

But that is no reason to include all women of the earth, Paul was addressing his letter to that church not the whole earth and all woman.
I've heard that one a lot. And the letter to the Romans about homosexuality was just to the Romans...and the letter to the Galatians was just to them because they didn't cook bacon properly or something.. It is not believable, no one believe that prior to the age of the illuminatus. Genesis sets the groundwork for the interaction between the sexes. 20th century ideas of scriptural "interpretation" that match modern society are extremely suspect.

I'm curious (really, just curious)
Do you believe women should always wear dresses or skirts?
Bees and stuff can fly up skirts and dresses, and no one wants female legs to be assaulted in that manner.

And so, no. But I do think those amish and mennonite ladies look and act like real ladies. When they are together, they look like a cluster of flowers. When the opposite types are together (at least in my western culture) they often look like a pack of prostitutes. Females who are satisfied with who God made them, are entitled to my utmost respect, admiration, and consideration. Women who are jealous of men and want to be a counterfeit substitute are hard to respect, and no matter how much they go off at the mouth, no one can take what they say seriously.

I cannot make up the rules, as the Bible says a covered head. So it would not be my place to specify details. But for my part, I would feel that if it is long enough to not be mistaken for a male.

Only the women? You noticed the women weren't in line. Perhaps you'd get along well with Zen,he has no problem with hitting a woman. I didn't notice women calling you names and bossing you.
Bossy ones generally don't realize that they are bossing.

Pete,
Do you prostrate yourself, raise holy hands, and dance before the Lord? (Just to name a few things the Bible tells us to do.)

As it has been alleged that I am..the rump..of the "body", of course I have concerns that others may not easily recognize. I tried to..skirt..around the specific area of my concern for the sake of propriety. But thank you for mentioning the leggings, I will keep that in mind and offer it for suggestion to ladies in the future. Poison ivy can also be a problem with skirts, not to mention peeping Toms. To keep us on a level of ..equality..I should also say that men should look out for peeping Theresas..

Also, in my role of the rump, I hope everyone will forbear with my gaseous emissions, and keep in mind that the "body" would be awful cramped (and/or end up in the hospital) without my sort.

I think a better question would be:
Do you believe Christians should do X, with X being a quote from the New Testament on Christian behavior..and I would certainly say YES. So there is a general response that I hope will suffice.

Proverbs 12:23 - A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.

Proverbs 17:28 - Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: [and] he that shutteth his lips [is esteemed] a man of understanding.

Proverbs 29:11 - A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise [man] keepeth it in till afterwards.

id say being silent is a good tool for all of us to listen better

I have often wondered about this very same thing over the years
Im not sure what the write answer Is
I also think women should dress modestly
as not to cause our brothers to stumble
and like wise a man should dress modestly
not to cause his sisters to stumble
I have long hair and most likely I will never cover my head
Im not sure If Im wrong but would love to see what others think
When it comes right down to it, opinions vary but the Word of God abideth forever. If you wish to know the truth, study the Scriptures carefully and then ask the Lord to show you the truth.

The Bible is crystal clear that (1) women are forbidden to preach, teach, or usurp authority within the local church, and must remain silent and (2) women are to wear a head covering during worship to indicate submission to their husbands and/or to Christ.

If their natural coverings (their own hair) was sufficient, why would the Holy Spirit devote 16 verses of Scripture to this doctrine? That is the question which every Christian must ask himself or herself. And if one segment of the Bible is only for the first century, then all of the Bible is only for the first century (2 Tim 2:16,17).

I think you are right, and I may be wrong..and so I will carefully consider the changing of my position. I had been for #3, but the Bible is pretty clear on it being #1.

I'd say for starters, that many in America who think they are qualified to preach are NOT. And that this forum shows that perfectly.
And that African Christians have higher standards than American ones. And that I think we need some African missions to America. And that I am against Americans watching Hollywood, and then spreading "the gospel" to other countries. And that a sick patient needs to be quarantined. And that you are one of the last people I would feel obligated to defend my beliefs, based upon what you write and how you interact on this site. I hope that answers the questions.

Ok,what makes a person qualified to preach? A Bible school? Some of the things Ive heard coming out of them is so far from the truth of the Bible its amazing. So could you share what makes a person fit to preach in your mind? Its not a calling, everyone says God called them. And secondly this forum has preachers within it,but this is not a forum of preachers, its a discussion forum. So really it shows nothing perfectly cause most here are not preachers.

America has certainly let down its standards, there is no doubt about that. That happened because the church is "asleep in the light".They said it could never happen here and it has. But as far as Americans watching Hollywood,Hollywood has nothing to do with my beliefs, nothing they say influences me or has anything to do with the Gospel.Africa has practices like FGM,they consulate witch doctors, they have many sexual partners that cause the spread of AIDS,they are lost and need to hear the Word. I have many missionary friends, along with my sister now taking part, and these people go to war torn countries, places when Christians cannot even shared the Gospel for fear of being murdered. We had missions for Venezuela recently, where the country is melting down and the people are starving. I have much appreciation and respect for these men and women who go and put their lives on the line for the sake of the Gospel.

I dont need you to defend anything to me,we've seen your kind here before. We can all read you like a book. Know it alls come in here every day. They don't take time to get to know anyone because they came to blast everyone that disagrees with what they believe. They have a special connection with God,more holy than everybody else. You come and go all the time. Or get banned because all you do is argue. Self righteous, see it all before, and it gets tiring. Im direct because Ive seen a hundred just like you. But hey,now we know where we stand with each other. Best you put me on ignore, because my opinion of you isn't about to change. Know it alls, know it alls,so sick of them.

It's not just Pete. Even brilliant people worth listening to get off track with their biases and prejudices. I am presently reading a fantastic commentary on the book of Revelation, by David Chilton, quite an author.

But, even he has fallen victim to a lot of Lutheran Traditionalism and Calvinist thinking. On top of that, he is an adherent of Dominionism.... which I kind of admire, in a way, but it's still "a bit out there.".
