Respectfully, I still want to say, "Bah Humbug." I don't want to sound judgmental, but becoming a godly man is not something one tries and then gives up on. It is its own reward. I was just trying to encourage you to do the most important thing in life, and hoping, in my naiveté, that it would lead to that which you really long for most of all.
Well I didn't simply give up being godly. My life was turned upside down for a few years by circumstances beyond my control and I felt like a fool for having such strong faith. I'd explain but its something very personal and I don't want to sound like I'm looking for sympathy. Getting my faith back has been a long, slow crawl... Thank you for trying to give me some hope though.

This love stuff usually doesn't bother me but lately I've had no one to talk to and the friend that I used to chat with no longer chats with me and the forums here aren't as fun as they used to be so my life has suddenly gotten a whole lot lonelier.

Why not introduce yourself via PM to some of the single gals on this website. I know of one marriage that came as the result of this website.

My first wife I didn't meet on any website... She was my cousins friend... But that was in 1968... And we were married for 30 years... And then death took her as I watched her die for 4 years... Then I met another one and we have been married for 13 years... Both women were and are Christian Godly women... The last one I met on a Christian website, she was looking to get married as God had plans for us both... I have found this so true in my life that God works when we surrender... To the gentleman that doesn't think it is possible for him to find love... Maybe if you quit trying and surrender to Gods will and not your own then God will show you what he can do for you... Its worked for me many times in my life... Let go and let God!... Brother Glen:cool:

Honestly, that's not a bad approach.

Zero, please don't take this the wrong way, but based on one of your earlier replies where you said you tried to be this or that...why? Why not just be yourself? It's one thing to try to be seen as attractive to somebody, but another entirely to try and reinvent yourself to market yourself. You're a person, not a product.

I hate to put a downer on this thread again, but I just have to say it...

I really don't think I will never find love in this life..

Don't give up yet - I was 59 before finding tourist and you aren't dead there's always hope. Start taking chances and ask someone you are interested in out for coffee, lunch or dinner or to go to church with you. You are a nice guy with a lot to offer Zero - I have read some of your poetry and such you are one of the good guys. Never give up.

I've tried the godly man route.. I've tried being the workaholic, the strong sensitive type, I've even tried being the musician in the band, the martial artist, the singer, the beach bum, the gym rat, the guy with the shiny sports car, the responsible guy with perfect credit, the handyman, the contractor, the artist, the supportive friend, the investor, the sharp dresser, etc...

Don't know what else to try. I've even owned my own business and have changed careers from working in graphics to working in the medical field to being self employed. I think its just time to accept the fact that I can't attract a woman to save my life.. it just is what it is...
Are you willing to be rejected? How many times have you asked someone out?

I went on a business trip from Florida to Washington DC back in my 30's and told myself I was going to do everything different than what I do at home I was in DC for 10 days. My rules were to meet 7 men and all I had to do was go out of my comfort zone and introduce myself to them such as - Hi my name is D what is your name? Then proceed to have a brief conversation and that was it with no expectations.

Well by guy number 7 he asked me to dinner and we started dating while I was in DC even went for a canoe ride on the Potomac River he was also on a business trip from New Orleans and after our business trips were completed he even came to visit me in Florida once but we decided to end it due to distance and me not being willing to relocate to New Orleans.

My point is it is possible to meet people you just have to get out of your comfort zone and start talking to the ladies. Give it a try sometime and by the way there is nothing wrong with just making lady friends because most of them have other girlfriends that you just might make a connection with while hanging out with your friend....just saying and trying to help you take a step in the right direction.
