Look, I feel for you...I truly, truly do, but, since you're apparently some sort of farmer, you need to realize that the best that we can ever do as "laborers together with God" (I Cor. 3:9) is to "plant" and "water" as God alone can ever "give the increase" (I Cor. 3:7). Again, I know that such is easier said than done, but none of us can ever accomplish what God alone can accomplish when people willfully submit to Him and His will. The last thing that you want to do is to allow your own health to be affected by this. You've "planted", you've "watered"...now it's time to just continue in prayer. Know that God wants what's best for your daughter and son-in-law even more than you do, but He has to wait on them as well. We're simply not greater than God, nor can we force our own wills upon anybody else...even if/when our own wills are what is best for them. I'll certainly pray for your situation. Just try to rest in God.
Yes I agree. Our silence takes us completely out of the picture, and whatever happens in the future will be totally up to the judgment of God Almighty. It's like those things equated with the full armor of God. Do all that can be done, and "STAND." That means to oppose the devil not flesh and blood.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 10:10-15
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

If our children's inheritance could have been done as God intended according to His law, all of these conflicts I, my wife, and many others have experienced in relation, could have been completely avoided and peace would prevail.

Your reference to "standing" reminded me of this (hopefully it's for your own situation as well):

Exodus chapter 14

[13] And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
[14] The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Sir, I've faced so many Red Seas in my life that I'm tempted to start selling Red Sea t-shirts. Somehow, God has brought me through them all and I trust that He'll do the same for you and yours. May you truly all see "the salvation of the LORD".

It's mine too. Having a house completely burn down when our daughter was one week old and having a dead son 10 years ago is just a little of many other things including war experiences in 1969 and 70. Salvation means even more when life's realities hit and we can see in real life a real caring loving God. "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:30

Our apartment building burned down (the guy across the hall fell asleep with a candle lit and he somehow knocked it over while sleeping) and my wife and I barely escaped with our lives about 13 years ago...and we found out that my wife was pregnant with our first child about a week later, so I know what that's all about. I could equally match other tragedies, too, but God's grace is sufficient and such is what we need to focus upon during the trials and temptations of our lives. He'll never give us more than we're able to bear...but He does come pretty darn close at times. Praise God. He'll see you through.

Man shall not live by bread alone but by "EVERY" (not just our preference of what we want) repeat "EVERY" word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. You know and we both know that with God, through Christ Jesus, nothing is by chance or accident. Everything has a pupose to get our attention and devotion.

I have often heard it said in the past "If it works, don't fix it!" I think that God the Father wants the same.

May I share something with you simply for your possible consideration?

There have been times when I've gone through things (and I'm still in some of them) which I would never wish upon anybody and I've looked up towards heaven and basically screamed "WHY?!?"

Here's what I'd like for you to consider:

We cannot possibly fathom the grief which GOD endures as He looks down from heaven upon His creation unless we experience a bit of it ourselves.

For example, I was a eunuch for the kingdom of God who never, ever, ever wanted to get married and I know, of a certainty, that God not only told me to get married, but also exactly who to get married to (He told her the same exact thing in relation to me on the same exact day and she was engaged to somebody else at that time and we were actually supposed to be seeing each other for the very last time the day on which this transpired and we never dated prior to this or anything even remotely close to the same). Why am I mentioning this? Well, without trying to be disrespectful to my wife, but merely seeking to be honest, my wife is basically like Jezebel on steroids and she's actively sought to destroy me for years. Now, why in the world would God ever ordain such an arrangement as that? Well, since I've asked Him that precise question about a zillion times over the years, I feel rather confident that I know the correct answer to the same:

Because I now have a much greater understanding of God's grief in relation to His desired "bride" and I'm actually a better man and a more effective witness (off of this forum, that is...a lot of people here can't stand me) as a result of the same.

Anyhow, please consider that your grief as a father pales infinitely with God's grief as the Same and hopefully that will give you a better understanding and appreciation for our own needs to seek to reconcile HIS DESIRED CHILDREN back unto Him.

Life isn't all about us.

No, it's all about HIM.

I have often thought about the anguish that is in the heart of God, back during Noah's days and in our day as then. I can relate, and my wife and I know God wanted us to be together. That is a different wrinkle than yours, but God knows how to handle every individual by giving individual experience according to what He knows and desires. Thanks brother, and I certainly respect your insight given to you by God understanding that it isn't from you but through Him. When the Bible says God repented, it doesn't mean that He changed His direction or motives. It means His sorrowful heart was at the zenith of yearning because of His love. When He repented from destroying Israel, that's what He desired all along.

Genesis 6:6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

With this thread, as an example, is it not time to esteem all of the Word of God including His law given to Israel in the ancient of days? Is it not time to stop determining which part of God's word is more important that other parts? Can we finally see that rejection and preaching against certain parts of scripture causes far ranging negative effects on innocent children? Yes, I made a mistake in trying to benefit my daughter by refusing man's law, but if I wouldn't have done as I did, that also would have been a mistake against God's will, proving that God's ways are perfect and man's ways are not.

This whole discussion should give every Christian pause to compare the law of sin and death with the Law of God given in Exodus that so many people hate so much.
