I get a vague sense of being insulted and told that I don't understand the new covenant.

Since neither adds to the conversation, I tend to only respond to his post that are coherent and pray that God clears his mind to enable him to communicate.

Though I hesitate to pray that because of that sense, he will probably just communicate his condemnation of me.

Well like I said I could be wrong, so bear that in mind, I ain't trying to speak for him which is why I said just ask him.

I'd say like on the point of the John Lennon song he is saying:

Everyone is free to speak their mind, but where does that lead?

For instance you say it's not a very Christian message, but then that kinda goes against the whole grain of the point your topic and what you been talking about for days earlier. What's even the point of the topic if no matter what he says he is pretty much caught in a situation where he is screwed no matter what he says?

Again I could be wrong, just what I took away from it.

Well I mean if my interpretation of that post is correct, and maybe it is isn't I admit, but I'd say that's actually not a bad point to the overall topic. You could apply that to several of the threads here. I know very intimately being very personally derided, accused, cast out, and maltreated just for expressing my honest opinion.

EDIT: Let me put it another way. To grow a good plant, you gotta give it room. A metaphor for a lil freedom, a lil grace. Otherwise if crowded and choked by the weeds its gonna die, it just is.

I ain't trying to accuse you or nothing, I think you to be sincere Ariel. Consider though that famous line of the specks and the logs in the eyes. Another to consider is how some will simply strain for a gnat just to swallow the camel no matter what one says. I think to this point if we are always looking for something wrong in each other you will probably find it also in yourself.

Personally I did not perceive scot to be after you at all, nor you to be after scot, but I could be wrong I guess.

Lol I don't get the meaning of seymore though to be frank.

I get the impression he may believe he is one of those prophet types..all cryptic and stuff

Didn't we have someone declare that smoking pot isn't a sin yesterday?....you never know what state of mind folks show up here.

We have many with medical issues. So the drugs really might be medicinal.

God is stronger than drugs and other influences.

Pharmaceuticals are bad news.

Western medicine covers a lot up in the name of profit.

It isn't any more than drinking is, plus healthier.

The bible does not say that use of recreational substances is sin in and of itself. The things they cause can be, though. Someone who is smoking pot is probably not going to behave in a harmful manner, and it doesn't mess a person up very much. Drinking alcohol causes way more problems. Alcohol is a much heavier drug even though it is more legal.

Industry is the reason pot is illegal in many places. There are too many ways that the plant is useful that would cut into the profit of big business if it were made completely legal and unregulated.

Not gonna debate you on it.

My body doesn't do well with soda, so I mostly drink juice water and tea.

I had pneumonia as a child so any type of smoke can cause my lungs to stop working and I past out. So I actively avoid folks who smoke anything. Plus have bad associations with cigarette smoke.

Not claiming to be "holier" or anything. Just stating facts and that it's out of my area of experience.

they claim to be able to pray and be heard. did you see them walk past scripture evidence,(with no reply in the defense to why they disagree) lets all now gang up and pray that we will not be pulled up ,on what they claim is scripture evidence, that they have deliberately walk passed. and now here we are again.

please note, they will complain in everything, that they can pick fault with. and no redirection of any kind, to why etc

or who to turn too, given they have no scripture to back up, there gang war fair that they think, is being over looked.

sin v crime , (law of the land).
