Blain, you might want to try reading, Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby. He combines the Bible and relates it to our experiences with God.

Okay gentlemen, I want a good fight, I don't want to hear any opinions or beliefs; nor any comments regarding the other individual so keep your responses up. Only responses which you know and can prove or which can be seen will be awarded any treasure in heaven.

Question you? Your doctrine is extremely questionable and fails examination:

Mark 11:23

Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
Matthew 12:21

Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.

*******

So let me ask both of you this question, is your doctrine the doctrine of Jesus?

If it is then based upon principle of the LORD, I have to stop this fight
in accordance with the precept written in the Gospel of John (see 7:16)

Moses experienced God and had the glory on his face to prove it.The rest of the Children of Israel, retreated from his presence, and were satisfied with talking about God or letting Moses talk to God on their behalf.

The Children had the atmosphere. Moses had the glory.
Jesus explained why this happened.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

It is a humbling thing for a human who is naturally wicked, to come to the true God of the Bible. His "Light" makes bare our sins and wickedness. This brings fear, and a contrite and sorrowful heart, which are uncomfortable, but good for us just the same.

Once He has revealed who we truly are to us, and we are naked in His sight, then we can begin to have our relationship with Him in honesty and truth.

Like a married couple who grow together, who know each others true self.

This is difficult for people to do, to trust someone enough to really open our self up to them. We keep secrets, we hide from parts of our self. This doesn't work with any relationship.

But it isn't for God's sake that we must do this, He already knows who we are, it is for us to see, to admit, to "confess" the truth about us.

Heb. 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Phil. 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

This, in my opinion, is why we must have that special relationship with God. There is no other way. And you can't get it by just hearing the Word, but trusting it enough to "DO" it.

Rom. 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Trust, or as it is also called, "Faith" enough to let God/Jesus expose our true self is the only way to have a relationship with Him. And no one can understand the change that comes to a man's heart when He allows himself to trust the God of the bible, unless they themselves do the same.

Very good thread which is near dear to my heart. Thanks for posting:)

Absolutely must read His word and we certainly do experience God through it but if we stop there i think it's like reading a biography about a person and saying you know them.

Happy 2018 BTW... Us Aussies get there before you lol

I'm trying to stop it before it starts. We have a long history and I've made repeated requests that he just leave things be in peace. But of course he's not going to honor that request.

I'll put a stop to it for good now.

I've heard of many wonderful things that our Lord has done for his people who have never read the Bible in many parts of the world. Their response has been wild, crazy rejoicing and witnessing for God to all that would hear them. Even in our local churches, I've heard of healings just through worship. But I hear some saying, here of all places, where our God should be given glory, that it doesn't happen. That his miracles were a one time thing that happened long ago. There are those who feel that if it doesn't happen to them, then it doesn't happen at all. Well, I hope one of these days, they're shocked to their core by a demonstration of his love because, yes, he loves the doubters too.
I recently had a dream where my hands started to glow and then the glow spread to the rest of me. I woke up and had such a wonderful feeling inside and then fell back to sleep. I have a prayer life. Maybe that's what it was about, but it felt so beautiful. If this is crazy, please, Lord, do it again.

Do you recall Mathew 13:58? And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief. This is why you rarely see such things here because to many put him in a box. I have not ever seen or experienced such miracles yet I fully believe in them heck if he lead me to do so I could walk on water easier than breathing but he cannot work in a generation who is full of unbelief.
As for that dream of yours that is truly a beautiful dream I would love to talk to about it privately if you would be willing

I have nothing to hide. And there is nothing wrong with my doctrine. What I do not want is to be subject to your erroneous personal responses. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Now, shall we go back to duking it out here (I still have that list of how far you depart from scripture), or do we call a truce and ignore each other?
You can question me anytime but it appears that your doctrine cannot stand examination.

Why not honor the Lord and do what you know is right?

I'm not attacking you personally never have and never will.

Ignore isn't really necessary everyone is who they are I cannot tell you how many times a person or multiple people at a time have gotten on my nerves either by way of doctrine or in general but well you can "leave each other be" now naturally in a biblical discussion tensions can rise but you can mutually agree to disagree and not pursue hostilities,I still have some nuisances bugging me from time to time even every once in awhile some "new nuisances" but there is always a way to "manage",ignore is useful of course but sometimes it's "unnecessary".

I have been attacked and harassed on this site more times than I can count and some even sort of stalked me on the forums as if they were just itching to go at anything I say but I never put them on ignore the only people I put on ignore are persistent trolls or people who ask who ask for money a lot

My light must shine for Gods glory. I still love you in the Lord. You may still mature at some point.

LOL!

The phrase “I still love you in the Lord” is a real cop out to “hide” your rudeness!

Yep so far I haven't had to put anyone on ignore though I have had to delete one person from my friends list twice because I felt their behavior I couldn't be part of.

I agree with you. Our lack of true faith and trust in God has limited his grace on us. I'm worried about his word to the Laodiceans in "Rev. 3:15-17 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:---So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." There's a lot of contempt in this warning but few people care.
You're a lot like my daughter-in-law. She has that happy spirit and goes about witnessing to all and walking up to strangers and praying for them. It's fun to be with her. So don't listen to the critics. There are a lot of really miserably sad people who are hungry to hear an encouraging word of truth from one who believes. Spread the joy!
I'm not good at technology. The only phone I have is still attached to the wall and I don't really understand the computer enough to go beyond what I'm already doing. So what you mean by private communication will probably be beyond my skills. But I'm comfortable telling you about my dream here.
In my dream, my hands were held out palms up in front of me. This was my usual prayer mode but my right hand started to shake so now I hold them clasped in front of me. They were glowing white. Then the glow covered my body. That's when I woke up and I was filled with a sense of joy and peace. I believe that this was a gift because of my prayer life. It was wonderful.

Yea I have not placed anyone on ignore either. For me it’s akin to sitting with your back towards a window or door . I do think that the ignore button helps folks here too .
