She could have purchased them while he was being entombed.
Whatever is needed to further the Catholic tradition, right. I don't think there is sufficient evidence to say the women watched him being placed in the grave just before Sabbath, then went to town, purchased spices and prepared them between the time He was placed in the grave and the High Sabbath started.

But I see all kinds of defense of the Catholic traditions from many religious franchises.

She could have watched them place him in the Grave Wed. (Passover) Evening, observed His High Sabbath (First Day of Unleavened bread), went to town on Friday to purchase and prepare spices, as it is written, then settled into the weekly Sabbath until sundown on Sat. night, then went to the grave after the Sabbath to find He was already gone.

Since I'm not interested in furthering ancient religious traditions, it isn't hard for me to accept the evidence that is present. If it wasn't for the Catholic traditions of Easter and venus and good Friday, we wouldn't even be having these discussions. Everyone would know what the scripture presents us. That Jesus was killed and rose 3 days and 3 nights later, on the Sabbath, and ascended "waved" to the Father on the "morrow" after His Sabbath once He showed Himself to Mary and told her to tell His Apostles. It's a no-brainer really.

I can see how you twist what he says to turn it against
him, instead of dealing with what Marc actually said.

Sabbath pushers don't like to deal with the fact that Jesus worked on the Sabbath. Jesus justified and defended working on the Sabbath, but Sabbath keepers would rather go around spreading their lies and lines about how working on the Sabbath is a sin. Sabbath keepers will endlessly parrot how we should follow Jesus and not the traditions of man, while they refuse to follow the example of Jesus, because they are so busy following the traditions of man... the same type of men Jesus took to task.
Hello my purple friend,

Now now your teaching that Jesus who is the LORD of the Sabbath (Mark 2:29) broke his own commandment. So in your view Jesus is a sinner and is not our perfect sacrifice?

The Jews (Pharisees/Lawyers) had placed so many traditional (man made) restrictions on the Sabbath commandment through there man made traditions that it had become a burden to the people and was nearly impossible to keep (Luke 13:14; John 5:10-18; 9:16; etc.). Jesus came to brake these traditions to let all know that the Sabbath was made for all mankind not man for the Sabbath and he was the Lord of it. (Mark 2:27-28)

This was never how the Sabbath was to be kept. What did Jesus teach us about the Sabbath? Let's look to the Word of God.....

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)
8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24)
9. The Apostles kept the Sabbath with both Jew and Gentile believers (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

The only lies that are being spread here are the same ones that come from the father of lies that many continue to believe today and that is, you can still be saved while continuing in your SINS.

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will not ENTER INTO the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

We should BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD. Following your Catholic heritage while breaking the Commandments of God will keep you out of God's KINGDOM.

................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

which commands did the rich man in Luke 16, the story of lazurus the beggar, break? he ended up in hell, what command did Christ cite as the rich man breaking to end up there.

I have asked you this several times, you have yet to respond.

You have, indeed but how is your question relevant to following your Catholic heritiage that leads many to break the Commandments of God?

And why do you always expect me to answer your questions when you do not answer any of the questions I ask you?

SIN will keep all those who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM come judgement day.

it is very relevant to your teaching. breaking commands are sins, sinners do not enter the Kingdom. so, when the rich man died in Luke 16, and went to hell, which of the 10 did he break to get there? which one did Christ cite.

this is no catholic tradition, it is simple question.
