jimmy was only admitting/revealing to the world what had already been exposed to the world through
him being caught and exposed through the media -

sin is sin, and especially humiliating and heartbreaking to all who loved and believed in him as a teacher,
minister, respecter and leader of Jesus Christ and lastly, a money-stealer...
I thank God that all of his other betrayals were not exposed...

i respect him for owning up to what he did. how many of these types have been exposed and when confronted they lie lie lie? not only do they lie, they get angry when questioned about it, with a "who are you to question me" kinda attitude.

He owned up to what he did because his rival was going to release the evidence...but that's water under the bridge of sighs.

im not a follower of him and know little about his specific doctrines. he has a mega church and is on tv most in those positions are corrupt, it wouldn't surprise me if he was as well.
but, i know of many that were in the spotlight, did wrong, got caught and came clean. and when they come clean the stories are always the same, i did it but, my wife was mean, i did drugs, the devil made me, i have a mental illness, im guilty but it wasnt entirely my fault. they always try and shift the blame somewhere else. jimmy did it like a man and put the blame all on himself. i like that.

You know something? Isn't it interesting that you can live these ungodly lifestyles and still get thousands of Christians to support you? What does that tell you about the spiritual condition of the body of Christ like I've been hammering home for some time now...and getting beat up for it?

If you refuse this mess and offer your ministry without charge or pats on the back, no one will listen to you. This is how far the 'church' has sunk.

Part of this is our fault. WE ran around telling people about easy-believism. We like to say everything is covered under grace, but this is where it leads us. The grace is truly amazing, but not the kind WE have sold here in the good ole USA. The old saying holds true - If your "salvation" does not change your lifestyle, it probably won't change your destination.

Wow, very well put Mike and we agree on something. I cannot watch that cloak and dagger network it gets me ill. I do not look at it as part of the church but as a counterfeit. I have ran into a lot of people who believe in what is being preached there, the celebrity status alone that some have is a selling feature.
A lot of the followers are very weak minded and are caught up in the gold and glitter of things. I'm sure God will deal with it in time. Misrepresentation is what he hates. On the flip side of that true believers are doing the work God has called them to do. China of all places has a very powerful movement going on witnessing to Muslims but ya don't here much about that. God is pouring out his spirit if only people would stop being distracted by the counterfeit and see.

rather than to
defend the very word of god
from those who twisted and corrupted
the very written words of god in the scriptures
this all we can say
