From a secular worldly view your right but then one could say that every none Christian goes on with life as always but from Gods point of view Israel is a pivotal part of the plan laid out in Scripture. I used to think this too, but I don't believe this scripture is actually speaking of his sexual preference.
The "For" towards the end of v37 confirms the context, as well as the ";"... "For" he will exalt himself above them all, which confirms that women are included in that group.
