If I held a bottle of water in my hand that bottle of water is the type. If I hold that bottle of water in front of a mirror the reflection of that bottle in the mirror will also be holding WATER.

You cannot hold a bottle of water in front of a mirror and expect to see the bottle in the reflection to be holding milk or orange juice or 'spirit'. The reflection (anti-type) is holding literal water just as the actual bottle (the type) is holding literal water for the anti-type is a mirror reflection of the type.

If I wrote the word "dog" on a piece of paper then that paper is the type. If I hold that paper up to mirror then I see the word dog reflected backwards, an exact opposite of the type. I will not see the word "cat" or "bat" reflected but "dog".

If a die had the letter "a" on it, then the imprint that die leaves will be a mirror reflection of the "a" that is upon the die. The imprint the "a" die leaves will not be a '5' or 'c' or '8' for that is completely different from the imprint from what is upon the die.

You're trying to change literal flood water to figurative water...you're trying to change the imprint. Nothing in the context suggests the type and anti-type are anything other than literal water, it is a bias of yours that you are bringing to the text in trying to change the type to anti-type connection.

When I say an anti-type is an "exact opposite" of the type, that does not mean it is completely different. When you look into a mirror, the reflection of what you see is not completely different from what you look like. If you are blonde haired then your reflection is not the exact opposite with black hair. What you see in the mirror is an exact opposite reflection from the real you. It's like flipping a picture negative over.
You'll never understand - You do not see how God uses wording in scripture describing the Holy Spirit as water - being baptized with Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit being poured out, being filled with Holy Spirit, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water - I am changing literal water to spiritual water - YES Just as: OT = circumcision physical NT = circumcision spiritual

You don't understand that Jesus Christ baptizes with Holy Spirit - HE never baptized with water. The word BUT sets in contrast - it contrast the two baptisms - John baptized with water - BUT - Jesus Christ baptizes with Holy Spirit. There can only be ONE baptism - you go ahead and choose water - I will choose to be baptized with Holy Spirit.

And when I look at myself in the mirror my image is reflected BUT when I physically touch the right side of my face the reflection in the mirror shows I am touching the left side of my face - the opposite - the opposite of literal water would be living water; i.e. Holy Spirit [spiritual] - Do you not think that living water; i.e. Holy Spirit [spiritual] is REAL? Living water is just as REAL as literal water . . . BUT it changes you from the inside out - something literal water cannot do. . . .

At least until he trusts Jesus in a biblical way he will be blind to the truth while swallowing hook, line and sinker his Campbellite doctrine!

If you held up the word dog in front of a mirror the word reflected back is "gob", cat reflected back is "tac" and bat reflected back is "tad" - completely different words . . . hmmmmmm :cool:

Really jesting with you . . . but try it! :)

What you are wanting to happen is hold a bottle of literal water up to a mirror have have the reflection of that bottle be holding something, anything other than literal water.

I understand perfectly how the OT type is "saved by water" and the NT anti-type is "saved by water" both being literal water.

Mt 3:11, neither pronoun "you" in Mt 3:11 refers to Peacefulbeliever.

Nope - I know that if I hold a bottle of water in the mirror I will still see water . . . I can't see "living water" because it is Spirit - that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Nothing I can do to "see it" but my life can manifest it.

I know that the flood was the "type" - Noah being saved from destruction - he passed from an old life to a new life. I know that the parting of the Red Sea was a "type" - the children of Israel were delivered from bondage - they passed from an old life (bondage) to a new life - when we are baptized with Holy Spirit - we drink of living water - we are born again by the Spirit of God - we pass from an old life to a new life - we die to the old self - putting away the old man - we are raised to new life - putting on the new man.

That's all I need to know.

Yes, it refers to me and to each born again believer just as "If you knew the gift of God . . . you would have asked and He would have given you living water . . . .whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life " refers to me and every born again believer, just as "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into body, whether we be Jews or Gentile, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit".

Nothing in the context of Matt 3:11 that either "you" refers to you.

Who is speaking? John
Who is John speaking to? Pharisees

"You" are not in consideration in this context.

As been shown many many times how the bible harmonizes and is its own best commentary:

Jn 3:5--------Spirit++++++++++water>>>>>>>>>in the kingdom
1Cor12:13---Spirit+++++++++baptized>>>>>>>>in the body

Two parallel verses saying the same thing with both referring to literal water baptism. Paul WATER baptized some of the Corinthians himself, 1 Cor 1:14,16. Since there is ONE baptism Eph 4:5 then 1 Cor 12:13 along with 1 Cor 6:11 and Acts 18:8 are all verses relating to the Corinthians being water baptized>>disciple(human) administered water baptism of the great commission, Mt 28:19,20; Mk 16:15,16. You are trying to create two baptism for the Corinthians when there is ONE baptism Eph 4:5.

...and that literal water you see in the reflection is the anti-type of the literal water in the bottle you hold in your hand (the type)...and there went your argument down the drain...
