*As it is written:“There is no one righteous, not even one;*****there is no one who understands;there is no one who seeks God.*All have turned away, they have together become worthless;there is no one who does good, not even one.”*“Their throats are open graves;their tongues practice deceit.”“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”*****“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”*“Their feet are swift to shed blood;*****ruin and misery mark their ways,*and the way of peace they do not know.”*****“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”*Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.*Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. - Romans 3:10-20 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans3:10-20&version=NIV

*But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.*This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,*for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,*and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.*God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—*he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.*Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith.*For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. - Romans 3:21-28 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans3:21-28&version=NIV

*“Hear my words, you wise men;listen to me, you men of learning.*For the ear tests wordsas the tongue tastes food.*Let us discern for ourselves what is right;let us learn together what is good.*“Job says, ‘I am innocent, but God denies me justice.*Although I am right,I am considered a liar;although I am guiltless, his arrow inflicts an incurable wound.’*Is there anyone like Job,who drinks scorn like water?*He keeps company with evildoers;he associates with the wicked.*For he says, ‘There is no profitin trying to please God.’ - Job 34:2-9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Job34:2-9&version=NIV

*Then Job replied to the Lord:*“I know that you can do all things;no purpose of yours can be thwarted.*You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.*“You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;I will question you,and you shall answer me.’*My ears had heard of youbut now my eyes have seen you.*Therefore I despise myselfand repent in dust and ashes.” - Job 42:1-6 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Job42:1-6&version=NIV

A major problem with the world today is the feeling of entitlement. That for some reason God "owes" us something. People no longer fear God, they think Him as a magic genie or a sugar daddy who will indulge their every whim.

It's a false view of God built upon pride and earthly knowledge.

We can expect a lot through Jesus.:) He even answers prayers.

Luke 12:4-7 NKJV
[4] "And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body,
and after that have no more that they can do. [5] But I will show you whom
you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell;
yes, I say to you, fear Him! [6] "Are not five sparrows sold for two copper
coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. [7] But the very
hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are
of more value than many sparrows.

John 15:12-17 NKJV
[12] This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved
you. [13] Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for
his friends. [14] You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
[15] No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know
what his master is doing; but I have called you friends,
for all things
that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. [16] You did
not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go
and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask
the Father in My name He may give you. [17] These things I command
you, that you love one another.

John 16:33 NKJV
[33] These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world
."

1 John 5:4-5 NKJV
[4] For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory
that has overcome the world-our faith. [5] Who is he who overcomes the
world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

I need some popcorn now, Lynn have you got any. Lol
