As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the day the Son of man is revealed. We see in the days of Noah...
Genesis 6:11 "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence."
Genesis 6:13 "And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth."

I was watching the news yesterday and they said after several years of seeing a decrease in the murder rate and violent crimes, many major cities are now seeing double digit increases for 2015. I believe this uptick in violence shall increase as the time draws closer. Even in our society these days violence seems to be embraced and even promoted in movies, video games, and even sports.

And a common denominator that seems to be associated with a lot of this promotion of violence is the love of money, just as drug violence in many cities is driven by poverty and the desire to have money. Even warfare these days seems to be more of a big business venture for arms dealers than actually obtaining peace. Just as war is often cloaked in Patriotism and sold to the people by propaganda as a necessary means to insure their own safety. But you can bet money and power is one of the main driving forces behind all the evil and violence which seems to be never ending.

But you can bet when things come undone, and they will come undone, that violence will overflow and many shall be killed. When things come undone people will show their true nature, and like the beasts that they are they will kill their fellow man over a single piece of bread.

I was watching a show of what happened after a blackout in NY city back in the 70's and how the people reacted like animals when the lights were out for a couple of days. They began looting all the stores in the cover of darkness, and then after that they began setting them on fire. They said in one night they had over a 1,000 fires burning from arson, which just shows how quick people can turn into beasts. Just look at what happened after the floods of Katrina in New Orleans, same thing, people turn to animals in no time.

But sadly to say this scenario of neighbor against neighbor is going to play out on a global scale I believe, as it is also shown here in scripture.

Zechariah 14:13
And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor.

Daniel 11:38 "But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things."

I was blown away when I saw how much money the US spends on armed forces compared to other major countries.

Also look at the priority of spending proposed by %

We claim to love our neighbor, and at the same time we are taught (the law versus grace-faith versus works etc.) in many churches, being instructed to reject the instructions (the law) of how to love, using the Word of God (Jesus Christ) as an excuse for this rejection. What a pity.

Leviticus 19:11-18
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the Lord.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.

I grew up in the south, was born in Alabama where racial tensions were really bad. You can plainly see the hypocrisy in many churches there where they were either all white, or all black. The same thing persists even today where I'm at in Tennessee at the present, you can have an all white church on one side of the road, and an all black church on the other side of the road.

I guess their idea of loving your neighbor as yourself is contingent based on what color skin your neighbor has. LOL

Yes it costs a lot to be a Superpower. That's one reason that we no longer have an Empire. I wonder how much on average it costs each American Taxpayer per year to stay on top of the pile

Oh, I agree. I wrote a long study comparing the spiritual things in the days of Noah to other similitudes found in other places in scripture but I never posted it. I don't think too many here would be able to receive it. LOL :)

Yes, but I don't despair at these things. I see the growing darkness of the earth as a distinguishing of the light from the darkness. A light shines brightest in the greatest darkness.

Isaiah 60:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

I don't know, but I think all that money could of been better spent on feeding and clothing people than making weapons to kill them.

And if they are really worried about security here, they could have taken all the trillions of dollars they have spent on war and weapons in years past and built a great iron dome to cover the whole US from the foreign hoards they say are attacking us. LOL Hey, at least that idea would have employed some people here who are out of work. :)

I've heard people talk about that Shemitah, but not so sure about it myself, even though I do believe the time is drawing near. I believe the great shaking coming and the fall of Mystery Babylon is going to be a global event though, not limited to the fall of America.

I believe this fall coming of the spiritual Babylon, and this world will happen in the fall of the year though, even nature itself declares it. But also the feast of trumpets happens in the fall of the year, and I believe the fall of ancient Babylon and the destruction of Jerusalem also happened in the same month, and even close to the same day if I remember correctly.

So I would say the 7th month, or perhaps our October would be a good guess if I had one.

A study of the woes and burdens of Isaiah and Jeremiah which accurately describes the events of the end of the age blended in with the present kingdoms when written all reveal a late summer early fall decimation........so this jives with your fall view!

For sure...another things is that Noah was genetically pure in his generations....as in a forensic sense.....notice how everything is being genetically manipulated......and like you said violence is everywhere....knock out games, kids fighting, mass murder, war, spousal abuse, child abuse, abortion, animal cruelty etc. Every where you look it can be found.....

I started this thread (linked below) for those of us who truly believe in every word of God, enabling us to come to grips with the fact (and it is hard to accept) that the law of God needs to be rejected by the "harlot" of Babylon, leading to the falling away, and the doctrine of Balaam introduced, in order for the "beast" to take total rule on the earth in the last days we live in today.

It's Satan's tactic listed in Revelation chapter 2, defining the difference between the church of Ephesus, and the church of Pergamos. It's easy to see the adamant attitude, and the necessity for some people to demand the systematic removal of God's law from the church today. Revelation also says that Jesus knows where Satan's seat is within the church.

http://christianchat.com/bible-disc...ystematic-distortiona-negation-scripture.html

The “Doctrine of Balaam” cannot take root until there is a purposeful rejection of God's law. This is obvious when reading about Israel being duped, by deception into the “Doctrine of Balaam. The temptation of promiscuous actions could only take hold if God's law is forsaken. Jesus, who hated both doctrines in Pergamos, said that it is impossible to serve two masters. (Matthew 6:24) If the law wasn't rejected first, Balaam's doctrine could not have taken hold. Both doctrines in Revelation 2 work in coordination with each other because one church had both doctrines in operation at the same time. It's a very simple deduction. Common sense and loving God with our mind also needs to be put into action.

The falling away from the faith started long ago, and the man of lawlessness is being revealed in all of mankind. Think about what fulfills the law, it is Love. Satan and his spirit is the opposite of God's Spirit. So the opposite of Love is hate, just as the opposite of Life is death. You always see the opposite reflection in the Devil as opposed to God.

Jesus told us what would happen to mankind after He would clean house, so to speak, by his death and resurrection.

Matthew 12:43-45 "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.[SUP]44 [/SUP]Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
[SUP]45 [/SUP]Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation."

What's also interesting is God has 7 good spirits, and in the above we see 7 wicked spirits that were forecast to come to complete the last state of man=a whole wicked generation.

Proverbs 6:16
These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

Proverbs 26:25
When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.

I was thinking about the last days lately and the times of Noah, too. Nephilim will also have to be amongst us, as well. People's thoughts will be evil continually. While it is not specifically stated in Scripture, it is highly probable that they mocked Noah for being a preacher of righteousness, too. Today, the times are getting darker and darker. Where are the preachers of righteousness? For many today have a form of Godliness but they deny the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:1-9).

The natural things of old often times reveal the true spiritual things to come, even as there were natural giants in the days of Noah so we would also be surrounded by spiritual giants in our day, and spiritual wickedness working in high places. You have spiritual giants working in governments, captains of industry, magicians of medicine and modern technology, Satans priests are men of science working all power signs and lying wonders in the sight of men.

The great men are the giants of our day, "men of renown" as they were known, the merchants who buy and sell for profits and greedy gain.

Revelation 18:23
And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

They can even make fire come down from heaven....

Revelation tells us that Babylon the Great is a city. It is a City that relies on Merchants to obtain goods and gives a list of luxury
items it receives. Its destruction is seen from the sea by those who trade with it. Revelation does not say it is spiritual or that it is a country. We are not told which City Babylon represents but the Middle East is central to Bible Prophecy, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was somewhere in that region. God gave us the Bible so we could understand these things. Complex discussions about the Shemitah go over many peoples heads, including mine.
