you've got a lot to learn spiritually,, you think you have it all worked but i will remind you of this scripture

1 Corinthians 3:18
77You are God's Temple

17If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. 18Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.
You just got here and oh boy listen to yourself please, you are showing you as a condemning Spirit are you is God?
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Have a blessed day God does just love you

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

[SUP]21 [/SUP]Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[SUP][a][/SUP]
[SUP]23 [/SUP]“Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. [SUP]24 [/SUP]As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold[SUP][b][/SUP] was brought to him. [SUP]25 [/SUP]Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]“At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ [SUP]27 [/SUP]The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]“But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins.[SUP][c][/SUP] He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]“His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’
[SUP]30 [/SUP]“But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. [SUP]31 [/SUP]When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]“Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. [SUP]33 [/SUP]Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ [SUP]34 [/SUP]In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
[SUP]35 [/SUP]“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

So I didn't read all of what you wrote here, and I hear more condemnation from you. you posted your apology before I got to it, which I did after you got on my case read it and liked and thanked

You apparently are presuming things before you post, you get a thought and blurp out comes condemnation, without discerning first
Only you know and this is not between you and me it is between Father and you,
Love you no matter what you decide as God's Mercy goes on forever, For Mercy I received Mercy I shall give
Oh well i am sorry to see that you see Gods word as condemnation,, what a shame,, you know the saying the truth hurts,, well obviously you are hurt right now,, and for some people when the truth hurts they put it right,, but in your case,, no you just on the attack even more,, and you think your a christian ,, hahaha you make me laugh

This is the biggest dissappointment, the most messed-up rendition of scripture that has even met the silver screen!!
~Nowhere are the people that chastize Noah for his building of the arc;
~Noah and his family are almost hermetic in their existance of solitude;
~Noah never prays, but rather shouts at God to answer his questions;
~The whole scenario of God destroying the earth is given to Noah in a dream rather than God actually speaking to him.
~All of his sons are mere children at the building; NONE are married at the launch;
~there is a stowaway enemy aboard when the 'ship sails'.
~transformer-type rock monsters that talk are angels....'watchers' with ability to help or not help mankind;
~Noah is hell-bent on destroying humanity, to the point of murdering his own granddaughters.

The list goes on.

Don't waste your money unless you like TRUE 'LITERARY LICENSE' to be your version of entertainment for the evening.

Maggie
in my honest opinion it honestly puts together the missing pieces of the bible at least for me

Love you and you just go on with your bad self and I am making no judgment, not even of myself, it is God that will do the Judging and I trust in that have a blessed life, God will work it all out
Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
James 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

Praying for us both, to stand in truth, Love you anyway

I just seen this on DVD and both my fiance and me thought it was an exceptionally horrible movie. Ignoring the fact that it rarely followed much of Scripture, it was still a very bad movie with forced scenes, mediocre performances, unimpressive visuals, horrible camera work, and a script that just doesn't make any sense.

As for the Bible aspect of it:

Noah takes drugs in order to have visions from God? Really?
Noah wants to kill children? I thought he was supposed to be a preacher of righteousness?
We are to pitty these angel / rock creatures (demons) that had rebelled against God? So the good guys are to side with demons?
An enemy stow away who is promoting the thinking that eating meat is bad?
Is this an environmental movie or a movie about God's judgment?
Noah is like God who dictates the words of God instead of God talking to him.

It seemed like the whole purpose of why Noah got drunk was because he turned into a mad man for a while. It was just so silly.

Yes, the script was a bit convoluted but did we watch the same movie? I don't think so.

There was no explanation as to why everybody behaved so crazy and insane in the film. I have studied script writing and film making a little and I know what makes at least a semi descent film. This was far from even being a descent movie. It was just a collage of insanity or stupidity. Maybe there is some artsy higher point to the film that I was not getting. But good movies should have something for most everyone. This movie offered nothing but crazy people doing crazy things. The good guys were bad guys and the bad guys were good guys. Everything was twisted around backwards. This was not a God honoring film, but it was a devil honoring film. There was nothing even remotely Biblical or God like at all to this movie. It is a movie that is of this world. A movie pushed by a worldly mind.

Sadly this thread has lasted longer than the cultural relevance of the Noah movie...

Granted the Noah movie is very different to the Genesis account, but it's an excellent combination of rabbinic arguments from Midrash (very philosophical - what if?) and a pretty good psychological thriller to boot.
