We can find two resurrections in the Bible, the first the resurrection of life KJVRevelation20;6,Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection; on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priest of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.;The second one resurrection of damnation KJVJohn5;29, And shall come forth;they that done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Hopefully we'll get the good one and not the bad one. In that case, what would we do on a daily basis? I'd like to sing a duet with my grandmother, who I never met, but who I heard was a good singer.

I was just wondering where I'd live and who would live nearby, and if I'd have a job, and things like that.
The only thing we will do is praise God,for there is no work to be done in heaven,for everything is built by Jesus,and we are spiritual,so nothing will get dirty to clean,and we do not need food service,for we will not eat.

What will we be praising the Lord for?

Hello 20,

Actually, there are multiple resurrections that are phases or stages of the first resurrection. The resurrection of the great tribulation saints there in Rev.20:4-6 just happens to be referred to as the "first resurrection." The error that is made is that, many interpret the word "first" as meaning "only." Below are the resurrections and gatherings that are all stages of the first resurrection:

* Christ the first fruits (1 Cor.15:22-23)

* The Church at his appearing (John 14:1-3, 1 Thes.4:13-18, 1 Cor.15:51-53)

* The Male Child/144,000 (Rev.12:5)

* The two witnesses (Rev.11:11)

* The great tribulation saints (Rev.20:4-6)

The resurrections and gatherings above all belong to the first resurrection. There will also be a resurrection of the unrighteous dead at the end of the millennial period, which does not belong to the first resurrection (Rev.20:5,11-15).

The reason that you cannot have the church and everyone else resurrecting there in Rev.20:4-6, is because that resurrection takes place after Christ returns to the earth, which would put the living church through all of the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments, which make up the wrath of God. Consequently, believers are not appointed to suffer wrath (1 Thes.1:10, 5:9)

Opinions, opinions.
You can not produce a single Scripture to prove what you posted as the first resurrection.

No need to wonder, the Scripture describes it very plainly.
I hear that...the words used to describe the resurrected body....Ethereal, Astral, Celestial.............animated by Spirit....one of power and ability......

pay attention to this verse 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Now look at this:: 12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire

All the scriptures have to align we cannot take scriptures out of context the coming Wrath is final judgement , the Wrath is eternal damnation for he had not appointed for Eternal damnation but for everlasting life

What are you praising the Lord for now?
I had posed the question, "Do you ever wonder what the resurrection is like?" and JesusRules1 answered, "The only thing we will do is praise God,for there is no work to be done in heaven,for everything is built by Jesus,and we are spiritual,so nothing will get dirty to clean,and we do not need food service,for we will not eat."

I had trouble with that answer. I know we will praise the Lord a lot, because he has earned our praise, but I would think it would be boring if all we did was praise the Lord.

Therefore, I asked the question, "What will we be praising the Lord for?" You answered by asking me. "What are you praising the Lord for now?" Well, I praise him for a lot of things, but I like to do other things also.

That does not make sense resurrection33,for when we are in heaven,we are spiritual,with a glorified body,and nothing of the earth pertains,so the only thing we will do is praise God,and give honor to Him,for what else are we going to do,go to the bowling alley and bowl a few games,or go to the movies and watch a good flick,or do anything that has to do with the activities of the world,so why dost thou sayest there is more to it than that,for it cannot be,for no earthly activities will apply,and you say that you believe there is more to it than praising God,but what can there be more,and that is all we are supposed to do now on earth,and the kingdom of God is within you,so all you would be concerned with is the kingdom of God,and not any of the fun of the world.

But that kind of thinking is fleshy,thinking that in heaven it will be more than giving honor to Jesus,and the flesh wanting to enjoy things not pertaining to the kingdom of God in heaven,and we sure do not need to eat for we spiritual not needing the sustenance of food to keep us alive.

But I am sorry for even responding,although I will still reply,but I do not understand why people think that in heaven it will be an earthly type environment,where we enjoy things outside of enjoying the company of Jesus,for the earth passes and all things in it,and when we are in the New Jerusalem,the old earth and old heaven shall not be remembered or come to mind.

We cannot have an earthly viewpoint of the heavenly,and in heaven we praise God for us having salvation in heaven,and that He loves us and wants to fellowship with for eternity,and on earth we praise Him for salvation,and all the spiritual,and natural needs,that we receive,and anything that is good.

In heaven that is the only thing that can apply is praising and giving honor to God,for what other activities are going on.
