I think there might be a possibility that there are misinterpretations of the figures listed in the phrase "Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb."

I think if you werent " trying to get me to see" what you are saying and Just take the scripture in is a better angle. Ithink when we have to start claiming the bible has been mis interpreted by the translators to support what we think, its rather a sign that the misinterpretation lies in us. There is just too much scripture that makes sense. But anyways, thanks for the discussion man. Hope to continue on different subjects in the future, God wiling. Grace and peace unto you, In Jesus name.

Jesus appears at many places in the Bible including Revelation. The Angel you refer to is one of them. The Rainbow is a symbol of Christ. In the story of Noah the Rainbow in the sky is a sign of him. The story of Joseph depicts him and the
coat he has is another rainbow symbol. Jesus appears in many ways and forms throughout the Scriptures. He said that they speak of him and he explained to the Disciples on the road to Emmaus how this was so.
Not so, Jesus Christ "NEVER" appears in the Bible as an angel like Michael or Gabriel. In fact, if anything He appears as God Almighty.

Jesus is referred to as many things in the Bible, all that is impoertant though is "the Christ, and Son of the living God" regarding that angel, there is a first time for everything in the Bible, a first time we hear Him as the Son of God, son of man, the Christ, the good shepherd", the One mediator between God and Man" and probably 50 other names or descripions. God is never referred to as ancient of days until it is written either.

That angel is absolutely the Hight priest of Heaven the Golden censor and the fire from the altar are what the High priest did on the day of atonement. revelation is a view while john is in Heaven, looking back into the earth. If Jesus is the High priest of the heavenly tabernacle as Hebrews makes abundantly clear, then that explains why the only one to have the appearance of God on His throne , who later appears on earth with a now open Book, which the Lamb, who is also Jesus took from Gods Hand and opened.

the point that at no other time he was described as an angel has no matter, there is a point in scripture where every description of Jesus is the first. there is a reason the angel in Heaven is performing the high priestly duty of atonement, there is also a reason the angel with the little open book, has the appearance of Gods Glory and legs of fire ect...thats a description of a heavenly being in Gods Likeness, coming to earth and Giving mankind an open book, rather than the one no one could look into......now consider all paul says about " the hidden mystery of God, that was kept in secret until the coming of Jesus and then was revealed......thats what that image is depicting, Jesus revealing the mystery of the New covenant to man through the apostle.....
