why is it any post that is offered in a positive light about the Sabbath, appointed by the Creator of the universe as a blessing to mankind gets such negative response here? you'd think some evil thing was being promoted... if you have some issue with the Sabbath, take it up with the one who made it, not with the ones who observe it... and please don't twist scripture out of its context or misapply the writings of Paul to "prove" it is no longer valid, why not just prayerfully and humbly sit at the feet of the one who gave it, and let go of mans traditions and allow the Spirit of truth to guide and lead you into THE TRUTH not mans version of it.

you will be amazed of the blessing that comes with meeting with Him on the appointment He made, and yes we get to worship and walk with Him everyday if we so choose, but this day He chose, is it a small thing that He wants us to do things his way? is it too much to ask to just walk in obedience to the things He gave us as a blessing instead of forfeiting the blessings of peace and restoration He has appointed all for who walk in them?

if you wish not to serve Him then serve the gods of the world, but as for me and my house we will serve Yahweh.

The fact is God asked it from us since..... day 7 of His creation :) . He is the non-changing God. People are so hang-up on not keeping the law that they sometimes miss God's little treasures when He gave us His instructions (Torah).

If we love YHWH Elohim we should keep His commandments without all of the usual fights and frowns...

Being obedient does not make us legalistic.

Because this is a Christian forum, not a forum for the religion of Judaism. There is no "positive light" in promoting what is not Christian here.

Most of the debates on the forum are on which day is the sabbath who's correct?

If two people rather they be Christian or Jewish, one living on the exact other side of the earth from each other, who's correct on the time and day to start the sabbath?

I know.....great point!...

The supposed "real" Sabbath that they "think" they are doing is all based on wherever they are geographically. So, in effect they are NOT keeping the Jewish Sabbath as outlined in the Law of Moses unless of course they are in the time zone of Jerusalem.

We must remember that those who demand we keep Saturday as the Sabbath is because of their Pride. They cannot see we are under Grace today. They are here trying to put us back under their Laws, thinking its by keeping the Law is how they receive Salvation.

Matthew 7:15-20
[SUP]15 [/SUP]“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. [SUP]16 [/SUP]You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? [SUP]17 [/SUP]So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. [SUP]18 [/SUP]A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. [SUP]20 [/SUP]So then, you will know them by their fruits.

They worship the Law more than they Worship Jesus!

"The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath." (Mark 2:27)

"Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days?" (Matthew 12:10)
"it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days." (Matthew 12:12)

Usually there is no further need to hear any other.

Colossians 2:8
[SUP]8 [/SUP]See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

Can we give this topic a rest for a few months? It has been discussed, argued, and fought on here for months, and "opinions" all supported by selected scriptures, have not changed. It's time to apply Matthew 10:14 "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."

I agree to that, but let Jesus have the last word, for He is after all the author of the book, and after that let all others refrain.
[SUP]
14
[/SUP]Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;[SUP]15 [/SUP]And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

What was that Jesus,ok.

Jesus wants to know what the fuss is all about.

so obeying the 4th commandment is not Christian? that is truly sad, and by the way show me where the forth commandment has anything to do with Judaism... this was given on the 7th day of creation as a memorial and later became a sign of whom are His and whom choose to walk in mans traditions... in case you didn't know there were no "Jews" on day 7 in Genesis.

so I see you equate a command from the creator of the universe as nothing more then a whim... this is truly sad , no wonder the Savior ask: when I return will I find Faith on the earth. :(

how respectful , thank you but I see no need to attend a synagogue. however I do see since your unable to give a clear answer to my previous reply but choose to resort to your self righteous brush off speaks volumes of your apparent inability to give answer for your inordinate and rebellious attitude concern the direct commands from the one you CLAIM to serve... thank you.

Whats disrespectful is to come onto a Christian forum to try to Judaize Christians.

see? this is part of the problem many quote text out of context to fit their agenda... you do understand the proper context of this scripture don't you? have you walked into a city and preached the good news and was refused?

see this is a classic example of twistianity.... its really sad.
