to say any passage in a letter written to the Hebrews replaced the 4th commandment is a private interpretation.

Listen, God wrote His 4th commandment in stone with His own finger, in the midst of an epic display of fire & smoke & a trembling mountain.
If He decided to overturn His own commandment, it would have been just as dramatic, and recorded in Scripture.

You know what fascinates me..the people of the law have not ceased to wag there finger at another.....they have not ceased to be a sin finder...is this what edifys or destroys? Is this the person you become when under the law?
Look at me and what I do, is that what it's all about? Let's pick a topic that has been disputed for centuries and see if we can put it to rest. ( no pun intended). And if one says the other is right can we say we won a brother or do we say we won the argument? Do we truly know what the argument is about, is the division it causes godly and acceptable.
Many have protested here the law vrs grace threads and refuse to even come to this forum because of it.
Is it there ignorance that they do not want meat and grow or is it is it the ignorance of the ones who insist on such threads to debate a endless issue.
Let us come together and reason says the Lord but I think the enemy has made his camp here when the fruits of the reason becomes anger and strife. Some do not know how to play nice in the sand box. We need to come in one accord if we're ever going to accomplish anything in the Lord. With this being said it will be ignored and people will peruse there own agenda and this is there religion.

The Sabbath is the least of the Commandments we are to keep!

Matthew 22:36-40
[SUP]36 [/SUP]“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” [SUP]37 [/SUP]And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ [SUP]38 [/SUP]This is the great and foremost commandment. [SUP]39 [/SUP]The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ [SUP]40 [/SUP]On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

Jesus was asked, "what is the great commandment in the Law". Dis Jesus say, "keep the Sabbath"? No!

The two great Commandments are love God and love your neighbor. Keeping only these two commandments is what Jesus wants us to do. So why are you teaching other commandments instead of these great commandments????????

What would you like to do kick Hebrews 8:13 out the door or something? No one is overturning the commandment but there has been a new covenant made since Moses times.

I think it depends on how we view the word law as to its kind and types. But we do not become God when we get under His law. Just representatives . The faith imputed to us that we have in us is in respect to the faith of Christ, the faith of God, not of us unless any man boast in false pride.

He does that work by the perfect law to warn the believer to not debate with what he calls wicked fist or you call wagging the finger and call that bringing the gospel of grace. But does require we seek the approval of the Spirit of Christ, that indwells the Christian to defend His faith as the same spirit of faith according as it is written but do it with meekness in a hope of the living power of the gospel .

In that way he came to bring division even among family members. He did that in a way I believe by creating sect as denominations, a division to keep us from killing each other like Cain and Abel. Sort of like cities of refuge to keep the moral law breakers out and keep the product of the law within as a safeguard from the works of the flesh. This is seeing we walk according to the understanding of God’s Law by faith, and not by sight.(the letter kills, the spirits heals) Knowing the kingdom of God is not of this world.

All God’s people are people of the law of God. His law is love and His gospel is peace. His perfect law, as a labor of His love works in their hearts of all men it is perfect as that which does quicken the soul. It can and does perform that in which he says it does as His living will to us.

But God is not the God of ceremonial fleshly laws used as shadows to “represent” the eternal not seen. Worshiping them as if they were not shadows simply demands that Christ has not come in the flesh, the veil is not rent.

A wonder Psalm that speaks of his perfect law as a labor of His love ....

"The law: of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: "the testimony" of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The "statutes" of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: "the commandment" of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The "fear" of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: "the judgments" of the LORD are true and righteous ...altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

seems to me the bible says is you love Him to keep his commands, yet the ones who claim they livew him are condemning those who actually obey his commands and not the tradition of man.

new covenant huh, ok do you even know 1. what this new covenant is? and 2. who it is to?

first lets look at what it is: Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

so please answer this: if the laws are written on the heart , why do you claim they are no longer valid? I mean why write something on the heart if it no longer applies right? ok now lets move on to question 2, who is this new covenant with? see verse 31? hmmm no it seems to me if we are grafted in then we too are now Israel, and no longer gentiles.. or do we rip Rom. 11 out as well? and if we be Israel and partakers of the promises we too are bond by the same conditions as the native born Israelites.

your limited understanding of and evil assessment of the motives of people only serves to show your own pride and lack of understanding... see prov. 18:13 for starters, who are you who claims to know the thoughts and intentions of mens hearts? where do you get off thinking you can state the motives of others and asses their walk with our creator? sad to see really sad...

While I agree with you that there are some pro-Sabbath people who do this, I also know there are just as many anti-Sabbath people who do this as well.

God said to "Remember to keep holy the Sabbath". Maybe He forgot that this commandment is now obsolete.

We are keeping the great Commandments of God.

“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

These are the Great Commandments of God and we do keep them. So yes to disciplemike and Yonah we are keeping the Great Commandments of God.

I do not see any love for your neighbor from either of you. All i see is condemnation, no Love. It seems keeping the Ten Commandments mean more to both of you whereas the Great Commandments mean nothing to either of you.

Yes you can keep the Ten Commandments all you want but it seems to have hardened your Hearts towards God and your Neighbor.
