What bible are you quoting John 8:58 from?

KJJesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

I was using New world translation: to show what it should say

vs that the Pharisees were not asking who Jesus was but asking his age. it's a mistranslation. it should say i was or i have been.
Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to you, before Abraham came into existence, I have been.”+

The riddle thread is closed until further notice due to unsportsmanlike conduct and unnecessary roughness.

probably... when I started learning about binary, it was definitely over my head. Hexadecimal is even further out there....

I, apparently, have limited RAM.....

What you search on a christian chatroom, if you are a JW? Its maby better to change into a JW chatroom. I dont believe that you will convince somebody here for JW doctrine. Jesus is God. Jesus is the beloved son of God. Jesus is and was sinless, till he was made for a sinner because of carry yours and my sin.

i will ignore the butchering of scripture

adding to and taking from

but i will give you what you ask for

Isaiah 53

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
If not mistaken don't you claim that Jesus was God so why did it please the LORD to bruise him?

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
Isa 9:6

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death:
Isa 53:12

Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? John 8:46

Jesus is God

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 10:30
30 I and my Father are one.

John 8:58

“Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”

Revelation 17:14

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful

why was he bruised?

isaiah 53
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Why did you not continue the text?

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isa 9:6

Adam was created

Jesus (OT God of Israel) became a man, and walked the earth, God having given life to his earthly body.

Can not quite equate these two. they are very different.

Romans 5:12-21
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

oh but we do according to other religions and some on this site.
We can redeem ourselves before God.

If memory serves me according to the JW's Jesus returned in 1914.
That being the case then he is no longer in heaven, if so then he is not there to intercede for us. Maybe I misrepresent them on that.

But also what about the Lords supper? Also if memory serves me not all JW's are allowed to partake, only if they believe they belong to the 144,000 and are also baptised as a JW and have not been disfellowshiped. The vast majority do not partake because they feel they are not part of the 144,000.

I would as why those who why so.

1 Corinthians 11:26 (NKJV)

26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.

If he returned in 1914 then the Lords supper no longer needs to taken.

which begs the question, if we could redeem ourself. why did Christ come at all..

Who was it that said "There are lies, then damn lies then statistics?
Former Prime minister of the UK, Benjamin Disraeli. The quote is thought to have come from him.

"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics."

May I have your permission to use that quote? It might come in handy. :D

"I would as why those who why so."

I am imagining using it and saying" Blah, blah, etc., etc., or as BillG once said: "I would as why those who why so."

I took a break because I smashed my finger with a hammer and you made me laugh real good. :D
