that's great can you think the same way about the ten commandments. Because when you delight in the law of God they become easy to follow and you see the wonderful blessing in them, especially the Sabbath command.
If we could do them then I would think that way.

But since we can't that is how they become the Ministry of Condemnation and Death.

Did you know there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus?

These discussions about the law always get a little muddled, I think.

The only reason why Christians aren't under the law to work at it in their own strength and understanding is because they have something better.

The Lord Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit inside them.

We are Gods Workmanship now, created for good works.

Galatians 3:2-3
[SUP]2 [/SUP]This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Paul is making a statement here. Not really asking a question. You are not perfected by your work at the law. The law had its place to bring you to Christ. Now that you have come to Him the Law has no more place. Or I should say, your work at the law and your understanding of what that work is has no place.

It is the Spirit that we are governed by now. And when you really look into it, you will see that it is the Spirit that is the power to keep the law. Which makes sense because the Law is spiritual...

Galatians 5:22-23

[SUP]22 [/SUP]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

This is the power that keeps the law. The Holy Spirit. And it is a gift. No one can boast of their work because this work doesn't come from them, but from God. We are His Workmanship.

He does a better job at keeping His Law than we ever could.

I sooooooo completely agree! Especially when I try and explain my thoughts/beliefs about all of this, because, no matter how many times I say it, people do not understand that I AM NOT teaching or preaching the Levitical Laws, OR, that they somehow are "unto salvation," for they are not! BUT I am teaching/proclaiming/believing in THE LAW OF FAITH! The Apostle Paul himself said we are UNDER the LAW OF FAITH.

See, when the New Covenant (Grace) was ushered in, everything folks say about the"Law" being fulfilled, WAS! Christi IS the FULFILLMENT of that Law..........the Law of Moses, the Levitical Law, BUT Christ USHERED IN the LAW OF FAITH! And, yes, SOME of the same Commandments that were included in the Law of Moses/Levitical Law WAS "carried over" and included in the LAW OF FAITH. I believe the 10 Commandments are an example of such "carried over" Commandments.
But, they were not the ONLY ones.

Consider the immoral behavior of people. Under the Law of Moses/Levitical Law, these people were put to death if found guilty of such. Jesus put an END to that. This is made clear by Him, with the woman and the "cast the first stone" message, AS WELL AS the entire First Chapter of the Book of Romans. The condemnation of death, to be carried out by MAN was done away with, for God reserved UNTO HIMSELF the right of condemnation unto death, which is His right only under Grace! However, the acts themselves ARE STILL against the Law of Faith! For their being sinful, lust pleasing acts is still recognized under the Law of Faith. Therefore, the Commandment to NOT submit ourselves to such degradation is STILL in effect under the Law of Faith.

The Two Greatest, if we keep them, will allow us to fulfil all the Law of Faith, but the specific "defining of" the Law of Faith IS NOT unBiblical. It is, in fact, the Word of God explained to man, expounded upon, and testified to by the Apostles.

Romans 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 .) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 .) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 .) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 .) Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 .) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 .) Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the
Gentiles also:
30 .) Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31
.) Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

I hope this better explains my beliefs. As well, let me say that this passage of Scripture from Romans COMPLETELY DISCOUNTS the truth of a "two Gospel" ideology in my opinion. (read verses 29 through 31)

Anyway, as the "resident Legalist," this is WHY I believe the 10 Commandments should still be taught by the Church today.

God bless you and yours.
