he is the one who is running out of time (in his mind), if i were him I wouldn't be trying to argue any point with anyone, it would all be a waste of time, since he will vanish soon at the end of his life.
Like a vapor.......poof...gone....cease to exist in the flesh....and his days, months and years are numbered by the one he rejects...Job 14

I do not understand your meaning... sometimes I am slow :D
I was responding to you in post 75. Sometimes atheists chip away at a Christian's faith. That's their goal.

Oh, I see now, thank you for helping me to better understand :) Well, surely atheists do what comes natural to them. I was a non-believer for most of my life but I never identified as an atheist, because I always knew there was some Spiritual reality behind what we see. Still I was stubbornly opposed to the God of the Bible... even so, I had a soft spot for Jesus, but even Him I wanted to escape. I remember going to new age type of services and hearing them talk about Jesus, and I would think to myself along the lines of, gosh, if I wanted to hear about Him I would go to church. But even non-believers can acknowledge Jesus as a great teacher, and though some atheists like to say He did not exist, the historical Jesus has largely been accepted by the majority of even atheist historians :)

Yes, to all the above; then time but then you go without, Bible reading, going to church and then you live in sin for a few days, weeks and it doesn’t matter how much time (years) you did it before you strayed the sin just for a little while is enough to drive you back.

It’s like this you eat a great steak meal the memory of that meal can keep you going for a few hours, maybe even a day or two if you don’t eat again. Buy the weeks end that memory just isn’t felling the stomach or suppressing the hunger pains. So it is with G-d and sin. Yeah you can stop all the G-d stuff for a minute if you have a high tolerance for pain a few months but only that daily walk are we all good. It’s His grace and mercy that is renewed every morning that allows us to walk so long without Him but with that constant wooing of the Spirit that keeps calling us back. Then it is His grace and mercy that slaps us in the face with our consequences without Him that commands me to come back or suffer worse. But it all starts with compliancy, the heart is deceitfully wicked who can know it, just like Y-shua said. Thank Him you really can repent and His mercy is renewed every morning!!!!!

Good luck with that...all the A-Theists in the world can use every jack hammer at their disposal and it will not cause me to change my mind or shake my faith in Jesus, The Heavenly Father and or the Word of God......

The SPIRIT is the TRUTH <--two (be) verbs and a definite article........

Amen, brother. I'm right there with you. Let it be known that I'm on record as saying that I enjoy talking to atheists because it's like being at a zoo where you can feed the animals.

In early Christianhood I stumbled onto a secular site that had a religion forum as one of about ninety topics, which was quite busy for its time. That was quite an initiation for me. There was very little moderation, and many of the the atheists and non believers would really let it fly, "it" being their hatred of all things Christian. I found it incredibly challenging and also quite thrilling, as well as very enlightening and educational, for I was prompted, by the very nature of interacting with such people, to brush up on a great many topics, including Scripture of course, so that I could adequately answer them. I was there for four years until the site was sold to be reclaimed for its original purpose, and all the boards and everything ever posted removed/taken down on October 26th, 2007. I was a bit sad to see it all go, as were many. Within a year I joined another site.

The second site I ended up on was Christian run, with many sub forums including one for atheists, agnostics, and secular humanists. That is where I spent much of the next three years, talking and testifying to the non believers. They were a pretty tough bunch. After three years I was ready for something completely different, and I found this site. The rest, as they say, is history :)

Correction: I joined the site in 2007, and everything was taken down 4 years later, on Oct 26, 2011 :)

****we don't walk by feelings (by faith) but we should have the Fire of the Spirit within our lives---example---we are not always in "happy" circumstances, but can still have joy----so, we can walk by faith, be facing junk, and still have Fire burning in our souls-----from the Word of God & from the Holy Ghost-----from fellowship with the Father----and from fellowship with the Son----and from fellowship with the Holy Ghost------if you are lacking that Fire--pray right now: "God touch me with the Fire of your Spirit----fill me up and refill me and let it overflow..."
