I prefer calling the first five books the Pentateuch, for the (obvious-to-me) reason that penta is a solid reminder of it being five books. Torah, I have been told, means instruction, or law :)

I can hardly believe this: when I looked up Old Testament, hoping to see what
the whole of the law and prophets is called in Hebrew, this came up in a sidebar...

The Old Testament is the first section of the Christian Bible, based primarily upon
the Hebrew Bible, a collection of fictional religious writings by ancient Israelites.

yes, torah means instruction or law. From what I heard. the whole of the bible was called the torah in Jesus time, Others also called it the Law (torah) and prophets..

Paul used these to prove to his audience when he went into new cities that jesus was the messiah.

Neither do you.

You lie about my belief, And those who believe like me, Even though you have been shown you are wrong, and it means nothing to you.

You keep on doing it, And when your confronted. You do thinks like you just did.
Actually, I do know my limits, and I know that your claim that your battle against me is "spiritual warfare," actually sounded very religious, and it's something that I wouldn't say to anyone to prove a point....that is what is sad. And you do know NO limits...

BTW, you are the one who jumped into the conversation on this board, and added your two cent insults...so stop trying to play the victim. You are just so obvious.

So. Because we have headed the law. And have come via the law to Christ. And now have graduated to better things which are more revelent to us. ANd this means we ignore scripture?

I am sorry to be blunt, but how many more times will you people stop making this false accusation against us?
1. Can you show me the insult I threw at you in this post? This was my first post.

2. We are in a spiritual war Both of us, Satan does not want us to be united.
3. I jumped into the conversation because you again said a false thing about us. You love to shove in our faces how righteous you are because you follow ALL The word (insinuating we do not follow all the word)

So I think you need to look in a mirror. and see what really happened.

ps.. Again, Where did I insult anyone in my first post?

The comment that i made wasn't even to you eg, and there was nothing mean or spiteful in it, and you came in saying that I'm making false accusations against you, or as you put it, "us"

The funny things is....You do this all the time...you do it on just about every thread.

So what it is that sets "us" apart? It is the word, because every time I share it, or encourage others to study it in Christ ALL OF IT, you show up and you twist as soon as you arrive...

Get a grip eg...you not only know no limits, but you are completely dishonest...but then when you're not accountable for it....I guess it's acceptable for you...

Carry on, but you are on ignore...

Pentateuch is a Greek translation of Torah, much like The Law is an English attempt at translation of Torah.

So do you think I am stupid or something?

You said this.

~never once directed me away from any of His word.

Are you honestly in the presence of God going to sit there and say this was not a jab at crossnote and myself and all of us by saying we do not take the word of God as a whole?

The funny things is....You do this all the time...you do it on just about every thread.
Well if people did not keep doing what you do. I would not have to do it now would I?
So what it is that sets "us" apart? It is the word, because every time I share it, or encourage others to study it in Christ ALL OF IT, you show up and you twist as soon as you arrive...
That's funny, You shared the word and I was all for it. I even shared the word with you, and we got along, But you never stop there do you? eventually you get back to your jabs at us who do not agree with you about the law..

Get a grip eg...you not only know no limits, but you are completely dishonest...but then when you're not accountable for it....I guess it's acceptable for you...

I know no limits. Yet I asked you to show me where I insulted you or anyone in my post. and you could not even show it.

That my friend is dishonesty

Carry on, but you are on ignore...
Yeah, Keep telling lies. I will keep exposing those lies..

and by the way, Thank for proving who is the dishonest one here.

I thought post #72 was self explanatory...

Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Not really. That says it's an easy yoke and what's being hauled is light. What's being hauled? That wasn't an answer. That was the reason for my question.
