I didn't get it from a website.
The first paragraph was my own.

The bible verses were from the NKJV
and the last were the NKJV bible study notes.

I didn't notice that the ref wasn't copied over. I have just bought a new iPad and had to set up my bible app again.
On my previous iPad It was set up to do that.

Having said that given what you say I agree, I should have made sure that the ref was made.

But I would also say it would have been nice if you had asked did I get that from a website or was it from a study bible.

Your posts of websites seems to start with 22:23 yet what I posted only started at v23.

I must say though that In the past when I have actually posted something from a website verbatim I have posted the link.
And could you tell me why people keep buying newer and newer Ipads, if you got to relearn how to work them each time? lol

I'm kidding, but that has a lot to do why hubby and I stick to towers. We learned how to work them, so don't have to learn how to work newer stuff every couple of years. (Hubby just bought a laptop. He's trying to teach me, and, in roughly a year, I might get a hankering to learn how too. lol)

Its not relearning as such.
I don't back up the IPad to the ICloud. I don't trust it.
All I back up is the apps but not the settings.

Funnily enough my wife does abs when we have replaced her devices all is well.

As for me all is not well. I like to be in control.

When I was a little kid, I wanted to be just like Daddy. I put on his shoes (when he wasn't around to stop me), begged him to take me fishing, until he did, (one hand on his fishing pole, the other hand on my paint waist to hold on while I puked into the bay), and wanted to be just like him when I grew up.

I've grown up. And in the process of growing up, I see Dad's flaws.

Now I want to be just like Abba. And I want all of us to enjoy him together. I long for the day when we will be, because Abba Daddy has big shoes, and I see where I fall short.
True...and in our spirit where He has given us His? We are.

Do I falsely accuse others, Do I continue to tell people they believe something which can not be proven, Do I continue to make up things about them,

You spoke about a dividing line, The dividing line is context, As to how one is saved, Yet the ignore this context as inconsequential and continue to spread the lies,,

When someone confronts me, and I am shown to be in error. Do I blame shift, Do I blame others, Do I ignore the fact that I did anything wrong at all. or have I confessed my sin in front of the room, and asked for forgiveness.

I am not perfect. I never claimed to be, But if I am in willful sin, Then something needs to be done, Not by just a few people, but everyone..

Hi EG,

It's Lynn that started this thread mentioning the dividing line on BDF. To answer your questions I don't know if you falsely accuse others, or tell others what they believe when they don't or make up things.

All I'm asking is have you ever done what they're doing? Have you thrown stones, rocks included? :) Have you called anyone a name? Have you belittled someone? Have you done anything out of the carnal nature and not in the Spirit of Christ which is love.

When you are angry with those you battle with do you care about their eternal destiny or are you just concerned that so and so called someone a name? ......or whatever.......fill in the blank?

All I'm trying to get across is that we've all blown it. And nothing will change or get better in the BDF until someone begins to change. It has to start with someone and then another and then another. I'm not saying it will ever be perfect, but it can get better if those of us who are born-again and filled with the Spirit of God begin to love others.

And what is love?
~ Patient

~ Kind
~ Not jealous
~ Doesn't brag
~ Not arrogant
~ Not unbecoming
~ Not selfish
~ Not provoked easily
~ Not taking things into account when suffering a wrong
~ Doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness
~ Rejoices in the truth
~ Bears all things
~ Hopes all things
~ Endures all things
~ Love never fails

So I posted these to help us all see where we fail. The only way BDF can improve is if those of us who say we're Christians begin to act like we are. Where do you see in scripture to continue to fight a person over a doctrinal issue?

Say what you have to say and then leave it to the Lord to reveal truth to them. That is if you are sharing truth. That's why I've asked you if you've ever been wrong. If you've ever grown in the truth.

So let's say that there are wolves on here. Those preaching another gospel. How hard is it to counter them with scripture so that the young in the Lord here or those who are seeking don't buy into what they're selling. And leave it at that. In fact you don't have to engage them, just what they're saying. Refute it and convince others through scripture, but do it kindly.

You say you want to see change........great, we all do. So let's stop engaging the enemy. Refute lies with scripture......you don't even have to talk to the poster......just respond to the lie with scripture without adding all the junk that goes with it.

If we as believers can't see our own sin, we'll never change and things will go on as they are. And please, don't think I'm picking on you because I'm not. I'm saying it for all of us. Let's be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem.

when we get to heaven, Jesus is not going to say, its ok, those people taught you wrong, Go ahead and enter in.

All the people who wre taught wrong by the jewish religious leaders. Jesus did not give a break.

And non of this excuses their sin.

Again, Is not even a doctrinal issue anymore, people are sick and tired of their slander and their lies,
Hi EG,

You're missing my meaning. Let's use me as an example.

When I was first born again, I didn't know there was a trinity. I was a good 'ol heathen and didn't even know John 3:16. Later on as I grew in the Lord and joined a bible study and heard sermons, I learned about the trinity.

What if I was on a forum like this and said I didn't believe the trinity. In my ignorance I would be wrong. But what if I died before I realized there was a trinity?

I was born again. I was growing in the Lord. I was justified by God's grace through faith in Jesus' sacrifice. I was
sanctified and I was glorified............and I'd be with Jesus when I died.

According to you.......are you telling me that the Lord won't let me in because I didn't know there was a trinity?

That's something to think about.....

"To whom much is given, much is required".

Doesn't that clarify that to the babe that "little" has been given to because of their newness, little will will be required?

in response to desertrose; knowing weather or not there is a triune nature of the Godhead is not a salvation issue, however the wicked and the righteous according to their works are contrasted on almost every page of scripture......babies and children are innocent and not held accountable (Romans 7, 7-9) until the conscience has developed, "ie" from his/her youth...it is first mentioned in the text in Gen 4, "in the process of time" ..there are probably 100s and 100's of millions of Chineese, African, and Hindu children in heaven....something to ponder on, beings that they have a high child mortality rate....God is merciful..

the book of Hosea says people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge,,,, this means the knowledge of the judgement of God, and applying such in a manner that obeys God...if not, the apostle Peter says they remain willfully ignorant (stupid on purpose)of God's judgement....be blessed

:):):D....I did agree that Stephen - being a good Jew would keep his religion. Acts 6 has nothing to do with the way Christians observe the Sabbath rest that is found in Christ alone.

I also pointed out where Paul told the Gentile Christians as well as the Jews not to circumcise their children as the law of Moses says to do. ( This is in direct violation of the law of Moses )

In context we see exactly what those "accusations" were against Stephen.

Acts 6:13-14 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] They put forward false witnesses who said, "This man incessantly speaks against this holy place and the Law;

[SUP]14 [/SUP] for we have heard him say that this Nazarene, Jesus, will destroy this place and alter the customs which Moses handed down to us."

The preaching of Christ's work will always cause our religious minds to be offended because Christ Himself is the real substance of all things in the Old Testament.

Jesus never spoke of destroying the physical temple in Jerusalem, and I don’t suspect Stephen did either. But it was true that the customs Moses gave would be changed. They were only symbolic and once the reality had come, the symbolism wasn’t necessary ( Colossians 2:16-17).

I’m sure Stephen said things along those lines, and the Jews expounded on that to say Stephen was preaching the destruction of the temple. In the New Covenant, our bodies are the temples of the living God (1 Corinthians 6:19).

And in the religious minds of the Jews back then - he was speaking against their ways. Stephen gives the history of the "Jews" in his talk. Stephen was talking about the "temple" and that it is not where God dwells anymore - for the veil was rent from top to bottom.

Acts 7:46-48 (NASB)
[SUP]46 [/SUP] "David found favor in God's sight, and asked that he might find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.

[SUP]47 [/SUP] "But it was Solomon who built a house for Him.

[SUP]48 [/SUP] "However, the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet says:

He was saying that through Christ, believers are in right standing with God without the keeping of the Law and the sacrificial system.

Those who rejected Jesus as the Messiah would have, of course, thought that was blasphemy. But it was true because Jesus was the Lamb that took away the sins of the world (John 1:29 and 36).

Religious people today would be offended at Stephen’s message too. They may not keep the feasts and sacrifices, but they have the spirit of the Law still in force. It’s offensive to legalistic people to say that faith in Jesus is all people need (Ephesians 2:8).

Jesus didn’t come to destroy the Law but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17). He then replaced it with a better covenant (Hebrews 8:6-7).

The Jews didn’t understand this when Jesus taught on it or when Stephen spoke these same truths. Jesus did prophesy the destruction of the temple (Matthew 24:1-2, Mark 13:1-2, and Luke 21:5-6) and the changing of the Mosaic customs (Matthew 5:21-48 and John 4:21-23). However, this was not in contradiction of the Law but rather the fulfillment of it.
Jesus, OUR EXAMPLE, fulfilled the law of the Spirit, and sent the Spirit of Grace to empower us to do the same."ie" manifest reality.
