When you actually know what you are saying, come back and post. My reference is inbelieving Jesus Christ. Do you know what this means?

Obviously you do not. Believing Jesus Christ is not lip service, it is doing as He teaaches. No read what He personally teaches us all about obedience of the Commandments in the Gospels and in Revelation, then get back to us in spirit and truth.

Neither God nor His children are to be fooled, though sometimes for a time the children may be.

I did not ask you, but since you tried to defend your buddy, who has no answer for this- the only thing a man has to do is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and love one another. 1st John .

we are not saved by keeping commands . entire letters of Romans and Galatians .

you know, after mark r took you to school on the Jesus was crucified on wed. stuff, I thought you might be tired of getting your fake theology blown up. guess not!

Hello MMD,

You seem a little confused in your interpretation of the scriptures. I hope this helps.

It seems from the scriptures you have posted above that you do not understand what the OLD and NEW Covenant is in relation to what laws make up the OLD COVENANT and what makes up the NEW (rules and regultaitons). Also many of the scriptures you have posted are not relevent under the NEW Coavenent and are not relavent to your interpretation of them.

May I suggest you read the OP here which will help your interpretation of COL 2?

Now in relation to what you have presented above I provide the following scriptures for your consideration. This will help your understanding of the OLD Covenant and what is required in the NEW Covenant. LOVE is indeed the fulfilling (doing) of God's LAW (10 Commandments) not the abolishing of it which is how you have interpreted it of not keeping 9 and breaking one.

Let's look at the scriptures...

WHAT IS THE OLD COVENANT?

There is many laws in the Torah but according to scripture, the OLD Covenant laws were divided into

(1) God's LAW
(10 commandments) and the (2) Mosaic laws written in the book. God commanded Moses to keep these laws separated in the Ark of the Covenant that made up the Old Covenant.

God's LAW was written and made by God alone and nothing was to be added to it and the Mosaic law was made and written by Moses as directed by God in a book. God's LAW (10 commandments) was placed in the Ark of the Covenant. While the Mosaic book of the law was placed in the side of the Ark of the covenant (
Ex 32:16; 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Ps 119:172; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 8:10-12; Gal 3:24; Deut 5:22; Ex 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4Ecc 3:14; God's LAW; Ex 25:16; Deut 10:5; Ecc 3:14; Book of the law; Deut 31:26; Col 2:14-17).

It is true indeed that both God's LAW and the Mosaic laws written in the book of the covenant collectively have the 613 commands. This being said both Gods' LAW and the Mosaic laws for remission of sin have a different purpose.

The purpose of God's LAW written on stone and the Mosaic laws written in the book

1) God’s Law
(10 commandments)
Purpose; reveals what sin and righteousness (Good and Evil) is and describes the penalty for sin (
Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23). It was never a cure for sin. But it was the work of God which is forever and the foundation of the Old Covenant, the New Covenant and the Judgement to come. (Exodus 32:16; Exodus 31:18; 31:18; Exodus 20:1-22; Deuteronomy 10:5; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23; Hebrews 7:19; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31; Ps 111:7-8; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14; 1 John 3:5-8; 1 John 2:3-4; Ecclesiastes 3:14)

(2) The laws of Moses (Levitical, ceremonial, sacrificial)
Purpose; was the prescriptive cure for sin with all the Levitical and ceremonial laws, burnt offerings for sin, annual feast days foretelling the plan of salvation which were connected to Feast days with New Moon sabbaths, food and drink offerings and other Holy days. These where all types pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation and provided a cure for sin through animal sacrifice and food and drink offerings and yearly sin atonement's for God’s people. (
Leviticus 1:1-13; Leviticus 23:1-44; Numbers 28:1-31; 29:1-40; Deuteronomy 24:10-11; Exodus 24:3; Deuteronomy 31:24-26; Colossians 2:16-16; Hebrews 10:1; Ephesians 2:14-15; Leviticus 4; 5; 6; Hebrews 4:14; 9;10; John 1:29; not exhaustive there are many more).

Why were the ceremonial laws of Moses (handwriting of ordinances) nailed to the cross and shadows of things to come......

Jesus was our true sacrifice for our sins and the Savior of the world that the ceremonial laws of Moses all pointed to. When Jesus came and died the old Covenant laws of Moses that pointed to Jesus and the plan of salvation was fulfilled (
John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28). Jesus is our true Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and our sacrifice for our sins. It is our sins as well as the ceremonial laws of Moses that were nailed to the cross at the death of Jesus (Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15; John 3:16).

So just as the Mosaic laws for remission of SIN are have a difference purpose to God's Law (10 commandments) they are all temporary Shadows because they were all pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation. While God's Law is not temporary they are the manifestation of the Character of God through LOVE.

This is WHY the scriptures you quote only show you do not know the difference between God's Law (10 commandments) and the Mosaic laws for remission of son and their purpose under the OLD and NEW Covenant. God's LAW is FOREVER while the Mosaic laws written in the book are shadows pointing to Jesus and God's plan of salvation.

It is because you apply the Mosaic laws written in the book pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation to God's LAW (10 commandments) under the NEW COVENANT when they have already been fulfilled in Christ (Col 2:14)!

Now if you bothered to read the OP you would already understand this but the scriptures you quote and the application of them only show you have not read the OP or do you understand the scriptures you quote or the Old Covenant.

If you do not understand the Old Covenant how can you understand the NEW Covenant of LOVE with God's LAWS of stone written on the HEART in those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW him in LOVE?

If you do not agree with anything I have posted by all means please address the posts and the scriptures provided in the posts and your reasons why you disagree with supporting scriptures.

If you cannot why do you not BELIEVE God's Word? If you do not know what the Gospel is then you are building your house on the sand and great shall be the fall thereof.

God loves you and wants you to be ready for his return. If you hear his voice please harden not your heart. Search the scriptures and see if these things be so.

Seems God's Word disagrees with you. Here let's look at God's Word and the scriptures you missed out on...

ALL OF GOD'S LAW REPEATED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

1 To worship the Lord God only (Luke 4:8; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 14:7)
2 No Idolatry (John 4:24; Acts 15:20; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Ephesians 5:5; 1 Peter 4:3; 1 John 5:21; Revelation 2:14)
3 You shall not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain. (1 Timothy 6:1, James 2:7)

4 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
(Mark 2:27-28, Hebrews 4; Matthew 12:8; Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56(Mark 2:28; Matthew 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; 1 Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelations 1:10 Is binding on all mankind today COL 2:14-17 THE REAL TRUTH THREAD (Linked)

5
Honour your father and mother. (Ephesians 6:1; Colossians 3:20; Matthew 15:4; Matthew 19:19)
6 You shall not murder. (Matthew 5:44-45; Matt. 5:21-26; Romans 13:9; 1 Timothy 1:9; 1 John 3:15; James 2:11; Matthew 19:18)
7 You shall not commit adultery. (Matthew 5:28, 1 Cor. 5:11, 1 Cor. 6:18, Galatians 5:19, Hebrews 13:4, James 2:11, Matthew 19:19, Romans 13:9)
8 You shall not steal. (1 Corinthians 6:10, Romans 2:21, Mark 7:21, Ephesians 4:28, Romans 13:9, Matthew 19:18)
9 You shall not lie. (Matthew 15:19, Ephesians 4:25, Col. 3:9; Matthew 19:18, Romans 13:9)
10 You shall not covet (Luke 12:15, Romans 7:7, Ephesians 5:3, 1 Tim. 6:10, Hebrews 13:5, Romans 13:9)

There is a lot of scriptures here you seemed to have missed for some reason. Hope this help your study of God's WORD.

SIN is the transgression of God's LAW (1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7) If we break ANY of God's 10 commandments we commit SIN Those who KNOWINGLY continue in SIN will NOT enter God's KINGDOM.

............................................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Now MMD, your just making up stuff now. No one is teaching what your proclaiming.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

UNREPENTANT SIN WILL KEEP ALL THOSE WHO PRACTICE IT OUT OF GOD'S KINGDOM

....................

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

sorry. I take no advice from one who says " real , mature Christians do not need to read Paul's letters, they were for churches with issues . "

Are you aware that all who love Jesus Christ are given the way He has chosen for them to travel?

You post as though He has given you the entire Word, yet you have nothing to offer after you criticize others.

Personally i do not believe in any Denomination, but I do believe there are brethren in just about all of them, so should you, leaving them to follow Jesus as He teaaches them to do so.

You judge by appearances and not with right judgment. Learn the difference.

I come on strong with zeal at times, and may seem harsh, but it is due to my realization of just how unworthy I am.. God bless you and lead you also.

I have noticed a difference to writing here and real life.

Here the conversation keeps going even when you present evidence that blows those who go against the sabbath out of the water.

Why? because they are not really listening or considering yours or my posts.

But when I have this conversation face to face with those who oppose the Sabbath it never lasts this long because they have to face their inconsistencies, They can't ignore what you have written because you can call them out immediately on false assumptions and illogical conclusions.

Face to face without fail their arguments fall to the ground. I have not met a person yet who can defend face to face that the Sabbath commandment does not matter. Sure they may not agree but they always without fail and get stuck in their own mess of theology.

I have heard every single thing brought up here against the Sabbath keeper in real life and not one of those things hold when the scripture is examined.

The only reason its worth writing anything here is for the odd person who actually reads and actually considers the ridiculous arguments that lack any integrity against the Sabbath of the Lord Jesus Christ. and sees the logical biblical presentations of those who keep it.

But for those who keep arguing against it, They don't consider, they just argue the same illogical irrational arguments that lack biblical integrity. The sad thing is they believe the lie. I often find myself wishing I could have a face to face talk with them so that they have to face their inconsistencies and false theories.

I think it should be noted that Jesus said: Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Mathew 5:17

...Yes, in Jesus we are no longer "under the law" as it were, but Jesus also said...
[h=3]John 14:15 "If you love me, keep my commands"[/h]
We are under grace, but if you find it in your heart that you want to keep God's law, you know where to find it.
