[h=3]2 Timothy 1
[/h]King James Version (KJV)

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
[SUP]5 [/SUP]When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

Ok, so if God's will is sovereign, and His will is to help others and strengthen ourselves through fellowship....why are people getting upset over a Christian test meant to help people of God discover where their talent lies?

Except no one tried to 'tear you do'. They were all quite nice about it. Which was my original point, had you bothered to read. Funny you want to put people down for 'pouncing' when not one person behave that way, except for you.
It's not about what's said, it's about HOW it's said:
If you have a spiritual gift then God would have told you what it was. You do not need a test, taking a test is wrong, it tells you nothing about the gifts you have been given. What if an athiest took this test? Does that mean God gave the atheist gifts ? I think not.
I have gifts that God didn't reveal to me. I was called into the preaching ministry, but my first position held was adult sunday school teacher at age 19. I discovered teaching came easy for me while preaching was much harder. Several people over the years either prophesied or told me I was called to preach, but none of them said ANYTHING about teaching.

I don't see the harm in checking it out as long as we don't depend on it. We should always get such things confirmed by God in prayer.

I took the test, & it confirmed my ministry as well as writing...... I noticed that I had some difficulty with note writing for sermons..... way too detailed in the past year or so. Some needed little additional info to make them complete as topical documents. So the test does confirm.... and may open the eyes of those who haven't discovered their talents yet.
