There was no man living in first century Israel by the name of "jesus". So who is your Savior?
May I remind you that New Testament is in Greek so the Greek version of His name and title was used by apostles and the first church without any problem?

In the inspired Scripture of God (NT) is not even one place where hebrew version of his name/title is used. Only Greek ones.

So apparently the language does not matter.

It seems that what matters to apostles does not matter to you and vice versa.

What will you do with the fact that New Testament is written in pagan Greek?

2 Corinthians 3:14-16 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.

( the veil of the law can only be removed by turning to Christ for everything. He is our life )

[SUP]15 [/SUP] But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart;

[SUP]16 [/SUP] but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Turn to the Lord means to trust Him for everything and not the law. We live by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

You are missing the point Vdp. Disciplemike actually believers he is better than others and only he has the Truth. You are wasting your time debating with him. He feels only he has the Truth.

This is what we true Christians call a "Tare". A False Prophet.
Not better at all. I am not sure why God has shown me this, but I am thankful. No pride here. I was tricked too. This is why I said "we" in the title.

If a person turns to "the Lord", the veil is removed when Moses is read! Outstanding!

I am fairly certain that none of his apostles called Him "jesus".

Jesus or Iesus (Greek), what is the difference?

Christ or Greek Christos, what is the difference?

There is no place in NT where a hebrew form of name/title is used. So all the "Yeshua, Yahve" etc business is out of table.

don't think so. Names mean a lot in Scripture. The correct names.

Does it matter to the work of faith that comes from hearing God by which we can believe God? This is seeing without him working to give us His understanding no man could please Him.? . Remember a distinction between the "things of God" as traditions of God and those oral traditions of men is where Satan gets his foot in the door.

I enjoy celebrating and recognizing Jesus' birth and resurrection. I would just rather do it at the right times instead of man-made times.
...I prefer to celebrate & reflect on these events more than once a year, actually. At the times designated things are more intense, though.

that is the true summation of this thread and the matter is settled

thank you

although you ignored my post from Colossians, you came back to it anyway which handily demonstrates the fact that
God's word does not return to Him void...(it's back on page 3 of this diatribe to a person committed to trying to find meaning in something that simply towards that which is all meaningful)

Plus, He has a sense of humor as I already remarked in another thread

you can use this quote if you like

"pardon my slip is showing'...slip does not mean underwear in this case, but might be taken as such, which is actually the reason it's kind of funny

Where is the veil that was rent from the top to the bottom today? Did the first reformation come. What was restored? The veil?

The things of God are the appointed times, (holy days), that He calls His.
The traditions of men are Christmas, easter

Well, could probably throw liberals into that column for Independence Day.

They like tax day...when the government gets more $ to redistribute.

don't think so. Names mean a lot in Scripture. The correct names.
But God does not have a name like Bob or Geroge needed to tell himself form false gods .Even our adversary Satan, the father of lies does not have a name in that way. Words describe the Serpents invisible form as a liar from the beginning.

Every name you see in the scriptures tells us something of God's invisible qualities as immutable attributes . God is not a lamb and neither is he a man as us as a daysman between us .

He certainly does have a name. Maybe you should read the front of the Book, (with a reliable concordance). P.s., His name is not "The LORD".
