I go back to Matthew 5 often, but very few people are willing to really address it, instead choosing to look at Paul's words. While Paul's words certainly have merit and are inspired by God, our interpretation of his words regarding the Law MUST fit in line with:
1) God's instructions when giving the actual Law and
2) Jesus' words about the Law

in that order.

The amazing thing is that Paul's words DO match God/Jesus'.
I am not amazed that God agrees with himself in his NT word written.

We just need to study them all in proper order.
Yes, the OT spoken by the prophets of old must be understood in the light of
the words spoken by the Son in these last days (Heb 1:1-2)
through the NT writers.

The reason I mentioned Isaiah was that it was/is the prophecy of the coming
Messiah who would
reveal the mystery of the Gospel.
The revealer of the mystery of the gospel (Eph 6:19) likewise being a mystery himself (Eph 3:4;
Col 4:3).

The NT is pregnant with "mysteries."

Yes, when we live by the law of Christ (Mt 22:37-39; 1Co 9:20-21; Gal 6:2; Jas 2:8),

It was not revealed until Christ's ministry. Jesus revealed it first to His disciples. I haven't indicated anything different in 3 posts that I've made. (smile)

The third time is the charm. :)
Don't hold your breath! I will agree with scripture that THIS certain mystery was hidden until it was revealed to Paul during the administration of grace -

Yep, third time is the charm . . . I'm hopefully done trying to get anyone to see that if it was hidden before Paul received it then it was HIDDEN.

I believe Jesus said - Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: (Mark 4:11)

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 13:11)

It is implied when you keep saying that it was made known before - when in
Romans, and Ephesians - it specifically says that the mystery Paul is talking about it
"was hidden fro long ages past but now revealed and made known" . . .
"was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets". . and "which
for ages past was kept hidden in God."
It was not revealed until Christ's ministry. Jesus revealed it first to His disciples. I haven't indicated anything different in 3 posts that I've made. (smile)
Seems your subtle diversion for the purpose of plausible deniability is showing. . .

The third time is the charm. :)
Only in the absence of subtle diversion for plausible deniability. . .

The mystery referes to the Gospel of Christ, right?
It refers to Christ himself and to many different things revealed in the NT, including the wisdom of God and the destiny of the Jews.

There is a falsehood that is propagated today using this scripture. The falsehood is that this is the instance where the mystery was received that Paul was to deliver to the Gentiles. This scripture clearly doesn't relate to the mystery, for what Paul heard (if he is speaking of himself, [big if]) was unlawful to utter.
2 Corinthians 12:2-4
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth, such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth,
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

In research, this letter to the Corinthians was written about nineteen years after Paul's conversion. That means that this scripture is falsely used trying to prove a false premise. That falsehood is that Paul's witness was minus the revelation of the mystery five years before it was revealed to him.

Paul's conversion was in 37 AD, and this above scripture was in a letter written in 56 AD. 56 minus 14 (verse 2) = 42 AD, being 5 years after Paul's conversion.

As the disciples of Jesus, Paul was also a Jew, him being of the tribe of Benjamin. Jesus revealed the mystery of the Gospel to His 12 disciples in relation to the parable of the sower and the seed. This was very close to the years 29 to 32 AD or possibly a year earlier. It was at least four years before Paul's conversion that the mystery of the Gospel was revealed. In either case, Jesus is the One who revealed the mystery of the Gospel.

The Holy Spirit was also given to reveal the mystery through the gift of divers languages during Pentecost. This was at the latest in 33 AD, 3 to 4 years before Paul's conversion.
Thats' really funny. I've said the same things to Elin and she always argues with me, and then you say the same thing as I have said to her and she gives you a like.???????????? Maybe it's a man thing in here mind. LOL I could have written what you posted and the results would have been totally different. :p

re-read see post 607 Elin, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 doesn't mean this is the incident that Paul received the revelation of the "mystery."

Elin said:
And you most likely have seen
the NT truth, which it is always nice to share, which Lev 19:19 foreshadowed:

Do not mix the right things in the wrong way.

In justification, do not mix law with grace (Gal 2:16), or works with faith (Eph 2:8-9).
In the new birth, do not mix man's decision with God's election (Jn 1:13).

If you believed the entire NT,
rather than believing "Paul did not have perfect knowledge of the word,"
you would believe there are many mysteries revealed there, not just one, Christ being one of those mysteries.
Please look to the Light, Jesus, when He elaborates on the law with the parable of the Sower........ The reference in Leviticus dos not forshadow, with the veil of Moses removed, it is saying the same as the Prable.
Pardon me for saying so. . .
but one who rejects some of the words spoken by the Son (the Light) in these last days (Heb 1:1-2)
through the NT writers is in no position to tell anyone to "look to the Light, Jesus."

Physician, heal thyself.

The is a quote from book titled; “Voice of a prophet, who speaks for God?” by A W Tozer, Published in 2014

He once said that we wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the church and the world.

A W Tozer, Died in 1963 the same your Kennedy was assassinated.

"Take the man with gangrene in his leg. If he could get enough people to glorify it and pay him to exhibit it, write books and poems about it and sing jive songs about it, we soon could glorify gangrene. The gangrene, however, will kill its victim just as sure as there is a God in heaven. Unless he cuts the gangrene out and gets rid of it all, it will kill him. You can never negotiate terms with gangrene."

"To violate the laws of God is to bring pollution to the poor of the race. To continue this and excuse it and justify it, and not repent of it, and build it into our reasoning and write books around it is to glorify something that will kill us as sure as we live."

Yes, all the born again understand that about the Law of Christ (Mt 22:37-40), which is the law of God (1Co 9:21).

The mystery revealed here is the removal of the veil of Moses. Jesus Christ, though He is the Word, was revealed in His first advent. The veil being removed reveals the understanding of His Gospel, which has been, though not recognized, since Genesis.

There is a story I have found recently: about the time when Lord decided to give the Torah to all of nations.

First He gave it to the sons of Esau, and asked: "Do you accept the Torah?" They said to him, "What is written in it?" - "Do not kill!" They said to Him, "We cannot accept it."

Then he said to the children of Ammon and Moab: "Do you accept the Torah?" - "What is written in it?" - "Do not commit adultery!" And they said to him, "No, we cannot accept your Torah."

He turned to the children and Ishmael, and again they asked: "What is written in it?" He said to them: "Do not steal!" - "No, - they answered him - we do not want to take such a Torah."

There was no nation to which he would not return, but in vain. Only the children of Israel, no questions asked, said: "Will perform and listen! ".

.... and now I could understand things which I could not before...still searching Him. Let all of us keep on reading the Words of God - He -THE HOLY GOD AND SON AND HOLY SPIRIT is the best teacher I have seen! Hallelujah! God bless you all!

For the unbeliever, all of the Law is valid. To the Christian, none of it. Our salvation is based on Christ, who bore all of the requirements of the Law upon Himself at Calvary.

There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. None. Zero. Nada.

To return to the Law is to be cursed, for the Law could never save anyone. It is simply a schoolmaster, meant to drive us to the Cross.

Why try to keep what cannot be kept?

Agreed. The Law can not :) The Jesus Christ did it! What we will do with His gift? Will we do sins? Where from we will know what the sin is? Paul has said in Rom 14:10-19

What does Jesus, Yeshua, say about learning and doing in the will of God?

Mat 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
