I think alot of people who are labeld false teachers are only done so because they have diffrent belifs or intertpitations than others but i dont think this really makes them false... i think the only ones to be consierd false teachers are those who arent truly trying to lead you to God or are purposely trying to lead you away.... im not a preacher i dont get money from tiths but i still belive wholeheartdly in paying it but if i was a preacher with this same belief lots would label me false just hecause of that.
According to this definition the Judaiizers in Galatians would have been A-OK with the Apostle Paul.

a false teacher is one that is false intentionally. their motives are self glorification, money making, power seeking etc, a true teacher will genuinely love others and live a decent respectable life. they will encourage and show kindness but they will not be weak. they will always be learning and will encourage the growth and success of others. they will be both bold and humble at all times and even their enemies will be inclined to have respect for them. unbeliever's will be inclined to say good things about them even if they don't convert and they are strong in prayer, scripture and virtue. true and false teachers alike may be difficult to spot at a glance but a false teacher will not bear up under close scrutiny

Problem is, many people jump up and down and rant and rave at "false teachers" when they simply subscribe to a different version of theology. I have seen to genuine beleivers accuse each other of being a false teacher simply based on timing of rapture.

Thing is we cant get it all right, no one has it 100% correct. False teachers we are warned about are the ones who will take us away from God by following spirits other than Holy Spirit and falling for thier lies, we see such teachers embrace all kinds of occult and blasphemies and pass them on as holy. Then there are those who give prophecy, or messages from God which never happen, these are dangerous people to follow as they are false.

Good example of false teachers, Benny Hinn, he comes out with some strange things, such as saying Jesus will appear on stage, give out prophecy and messages from God which never happen or come true, he fails to repent. The powers he has is not Holy Spirit power, but denomic power.

Todd Bentley, disgraced TV evangelist who has been banned from entering the UK based on him kicking people in the head because GOd told him to do it to heal them. He gets messages from an "angel from God", he has out of body experiences and is obviously under influence of Kundalindi. came to fame with his Fire Ministry, where he passes on Holy Fire to anyone who wants it, but it is really demonic, as he got this from his angel, which I would not be surprised if it turned out to be satan himself. He is also another one who claims Jesus will appear with him, its bad enough claiming he has his angel standing next to him that only he can see, let alone claiming Jesus will appear on stage.

Problem is, many Christians follow people like HInn and Bentley and will not hear a bad word against them, the more they lap up thier teachings and lies, the more they put thier salvation in jepordy, the more they walk away from God. following these people is not good for spiritual health and even physical if you have the mis-fortune to be "healed" by Bentley.

We should not call people who have minor disagreesments over theology, "false teachers" or "wolf in sheep clothing", no all the time we pick holes in theological difference, the real wolves and real false teachers are at work being un noticed.

That just tells me you never actually sat through a full bible study into one of the book of the bible of your choice Zone, that Murray has taught. .
i sat through 3 years of their stuff.

And if you notice. I try to use a little more class, I don't attack Christians by name. I just ask people to be aware of what people teach, or the lack there of.
okay.
without using any names, we could go through British Israelism and all that.
Pre-existence (mormonish); Annihilationism; we are the Good Angels who have come after (to try to save them with the gospel) the Bad Angels who followed satan in the 1st earth age...etc.etc.

God wiped our memories of that time with Him clean and drops us into flesh bodies to accomplish our mission.

Murray does not fit any of what I mentioned in my post for a false teacher. In fact: he teaches all of the Bible. Very few can say they do that. Arnold Murray is one of a very select few, of Christian pastors out there, that actually will take the time, to teach all of the Bible, chapter by chapter and verse by verse.
i COULD post a long thread on him and his teachings.
but i won't.
tired of doing it and being lambasted by his disciples.

figure it out yourself.

ya pays yer money ya takes yer chances.

find a real church.

But you left that little detail out Zone. Like a lot of your arguments, they have wholes in them. They will never be able to hold water.
what little detail?

that he goes through chapter by chapter and book by book?
ya...with commentary and fables and on the premise that white anglo saxons are the 10 lost tribes.
who are actually the sons of God (angels) from the First Earth Age.

the millennium is for TEACHING everybody who didn't get a chance to hear the Gospel the first time - right?
a second chance? < no Murray says - Not a second chance - they never had a chance to begin with....RIGHT?

Shepherd's Chapel is a cult.
even if there are some sound teachings, his over-all grade is EPIC FAIL.

Zone what your actually doing in reality ignorantly or otherwise, is robing Christians who are silly enough to listen to you without actually seeing Murray teach for themselves and checking out what you say also: You are robing them of a good Christian that teaches all, of God's word with, understanding; which they are all starving for. Amos 8: 11 ( kjv ) Many teachers are leading the flock to worship Satan himself.

And Murray is one that fights against Satan himself everyday. To bad mouth a man of God like Murray, is to actually fight against God and what he would have taught, which is all of His word. If you were familiar with Revelation you would know what im talkin about. But your on your own with this one and anyone silly enough to listen to you without question.

We are all going to answer for our actions in the very near future, and that is a real warning. Because i see whats coming. its written.

Why don't we start a post on preachers that are not twisting doctrine or living high off the fat of the people?

Then instead of having to watch heretical videos and read heretical books, we could actually be learning and growing as Christians, by reading biblically sound doctrine.

Of course, would it get many posts, is the question? Unless people started to argue about who was Biblically sound, I guess!

It might even get those holding 'heretical views' to cry 'foul!'

There's a lot of talk about false teachers. Who are in your opinion false teachers and most important why ?
This should be biblical based.

Joel Osteen is a false prophet for sure. Never preaches repentance, never preaches against sin, and never preaches on Hell. Plus, in his book "Your Best Life Now" he constantly twists and misapplies the Scriptures. Also he's been shown to take promises in Scripture for the Born again Christian, and he tries to apply those same promises to a lost person. Doesn't work.
A person needs to first get saved and become a part of God's family before he can qualify for those promises in Scripture that are written for the Born again Christian. Plus Joel Osteen has also taken Scripture written for Israel and pulled it out of context by trying to apply it to a lost person. Again though, it does not work. You have to rightly divide the word of truth and you must keep Scripture in context.

So those are some of the biblical reasons why Joel Osteen is very dangerously deceptive.

Jesus gives us the PERFECT ANSWER to this question.....

If A person cannot WITNESS that JESUS has come in the flesh, he is a FALSE Teacher....

Now the differences will start.... Who can witness Jesus is LORD but the HOLY SPIRIT? And how does HE WITNESS.... WITH POWER AND WORKS.... HOLY WORKS.... Godly Works, and a GODLY LIFE WITHOUT SIN!!!!

If you sin, PASS the teaching to the sinless.... You have no right to teach!

I am a sinner and I have more Truth in me that MOST Christians that believe they are Christians... but they do not even know what teh Word Christian means.... God says YOU CANNOT serve sin and HIM, yet all "my Christians" the ones that I know SIN AND DO AS EVIL AS I DO!... The only difference is, I have the guts not to lie about my status...

Sunday all holy, Monday all evil.... HAH!

God is not a lier and HE SAYS HIS MEN ARE MOVED BY HIS SPIRIT.... HOLY AND PERFECT!

Then IMO you are righteous because you speak the truth.

You don't have to be a minister or evangelist to lead the flock away. There is no telling the damage done by Oprah Winfrey with her cosmic humanism. How many millions sat through a year's worth of Helen Schucman's A Course in Miracles. An estimated 2,000,000 people joined Oprah for a course with Eckhart Tolle and the book "A New Earth".

Admittedly however, false teachers who claim to be Christians are much more dangerous, as what they say has a ring of truth, but much that is not.

A sign of a false teacher is one who says outright or implies constantly
he or she has it all right....or is constantly harping how everyone else has it wrong.
A false teacher generally never magnifies Christ but gives a message that glorifies the listenner(smooth words and flatteries)
A false teacher generally never is loving but has a way of making you love them with human speech and rheteric style, actions.
A false teacher generally never builds up the cooperate body, but makes individuals "feel good"
A false teacher has a gift to make people follow them, not the Lord.
A false teacher usually causes more division in the body....watch what happens to followers if they talk about him/her publically.
