Guys, please be good to Godsgirl.
I'm afraid, I haven't read every post on this thread.
Therefore I don't know what she said that was so bad.
She sound like a genuine person to me.
She has not blasphemed God;
she's just speaking her mind.
..and none of us are better than her.
I don't mean to offend anyone here. Just my thoughts...
My doubts came after reading the Bible, also if it was true - some people are the ones who made a circus out of it. I believe in Jesus, but hence the book was written decades after him there's a high possibility of misinterpretation.
The only reason why I turned to God in Christian form is because my great grandma died who was the only religious person in the family & I loved her dearly. That's how I felt close to her and right now I feel like I'm disappointing.
Because we all need a reason to believe in something that gives the meaning to our life, I'm not judging anyone nor I want to change them. So I have to choose to believe blindly or do what I feel is right. I miss Jesus, I don't know what I will do this Christmas because it was my favorite time of the year.

I hope some of you who come across my post understand.

Well with on one to help you I can see where you could be misled about the bible. I assure you that there are no contradictions in the bible.

Jesus Himself said that He did not come to the world to bring but a sword. Jesus was speaking to His brethren according to the flesh which is Israel. Now when Jesus come the second time He will bring peace and a 1000 year rule on earth.

Every person who receives Jesus Christ as their Savior is at peace with God and at war with the world.

2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

GodsGirl,
I understand that you were born in a Catholic family,
and that you were introduced to Jesus by your great grandma.
Everyone has been introduced to Jesus in one way or the other.
Your grandma is no more; now it's your job to seek Jesus and find him.
Don't give up halfway.
You came to this site to seek answers, and you know what?...
....I promise you that you will get the answers
if you are sincere and don't give up.
You said that you believe in Jesus. That's a good starting point.
Here's a promise from Jesus:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.[Mathew 7:7-8]

See, you started off this thread on a wrong note (evil/wrong/heresy).
So you got bombarded with judgmental posts.

Can I suggest something, GodsGirl?
Maybe you can start reading one of the gospels (say the gospel of Mark),
and whenever you encounter a question or doubt, you can start a thread.
Let me leave you with an awesome passage:

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.[Matthew 13:44]

I would urge you to seek and find that treasure! God Bless!

gkroo,
You are referring to Luke 17:21, where Jesus is talking to the Pharisees.

I was talking to GodsGirl about a different verse, i.e. Matthew 13:44
The contexts of both verses are different.

In Matthew 13:44, the treasure hidden in the field is Jesus.
If we seek him, we will find him.
When someone finds Jesus, their joy knows no bounds.
Finding Jesus results in true happiness.
Secondly, the man realized that the treasure is worth more than anything he owns.
There is nothing more precious than knowing Jesus and the salvation that he offers.

You do know Godsgirl368 that the Scriptures were Inspired by the Holy Spirit?

2 Timothy 3:16-17
[SUP]16 [/SUP] All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
[SUP]17 [/SUP] that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

By your saying that "there's a high possibility of misinterpretation" shows you really do not know or understand God.

Have you ever accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Do you completely believe with your Heart that Jesus is God? Do you have the Faith that Jesus IS God?

John 3:16-18
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Do you totally believe that Jesus IS God? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Have you confessed with your mouth that Jesus IS God?

Romans 10:8-10
[SUP]8 [/SUP] But what does it say? " THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart"-- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
[SUP]9 [/SUP] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;
[SUP]10 [/SUP] for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

I am sorry sister, please forgive me but, some people are accusers , wile other just plain blind.
Ephesians 2:5-8 (AKJV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP]even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) [SUP]6 [/SUP]and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: [SUP]7 [/SUP]that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Philippians 2:2-8 (AKJV)

[SUP]2 [/SUP]fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. [SUP]5 [/SUP]Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [SUP]6 [/SUP]who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [SUP]7 [/SUP]but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
[SUP]8 [/SUP]and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

We Are all one body the only separation is man's pride. I hate to hear of such attacks to be very simple when you received his love in your heart , just like the rest of the body of Christ. Where-ever it says love it is speaking of the love add your name , where you received His love in your heart.

1 Corinthians 13:4-11 (AKJV)

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, [SUP]5 [/SUP]doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; [SUP]6 [/SUP]rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; [SUP]7 [/SUP]beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. [SUP]9 [/SUP]For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. [SUP]10 [/SUP]But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Romans 8:15-17(AKJV)

[SUP]15 [/SUP]For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. [SUP]16 [/SUP]The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

As for the accusers ...
Daniel 6:23-24 (AKJV)

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

I am referring to me. I am referring to you, I am referring to everybody with a brain that thinks.

Mat 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

The kingdom of heaven is the full capacity of the brain. The treasure hidden in that field is your own self. You find your self, what do you do? Most people go out and give themselves away, get married or whatever, which is good if you cannot control yourself.
