John 3:8

New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]8 [/SUP]The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.
You are a false prophet and a liar. Repent or perish. No more pearls for you.

Hey tribesman!

Don't think I condone any of what I am about to say, but I do sometimes think one reason women "take the role of a man" is because their man has become a sissy. They whine, complain. Don't want to support their family. Men don't know how to be MEN. The woman has to step in and become the leader due to the mans lack of leadership.
Then it roles over to church leadership. They become intimidated by women because they don't know how to be the role God put in place for them. So they step aside and let women preach.

Even in a situation like this it doesn't condone female leadership.

Yep, unfortunately the sissy factor is growing.

You cannot speak with a brother in Christ as you speak to an unbeliever. There is a very big difference between a believer in God, Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit and someone denying or even cursing God or Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit.

Let's put aside our differences and rather emphasize our common believe!

actually the real reason is that women want to have mans authority and demand that they have it, the state their will and demand that men submit to it: if they do not, they punish them by slapping them, not talking to them and not giving sex to them. And men just get tired of fighting them and give in and let them rule.

This is evil, and men need to stop letting women do this!

god bless

If everyone just learned to communicate properly and respected each other, there would be no need for stupid petty power struggles in the first place.

I know the hardline attitude St. Paul adopts on this particular matter, but I think the Church must out of necessity make a few concessions to modernity lest the world leave it behind. How relevant is relevant enough? Just enough, w/o pandering to secular whims. I don't know where I stand on the ordination of women. I don't know if it's right or wrong.

Reason I ask,,cause its always been upon my heart to be a pastor...was even thinking of going for it...yet when I tell people of my desire they laugh like Im a fool. When you have a desire from God..only you will feel it not any man..If there not called.
If you truly feel that is what is on your heart, that you have the calling, then absolutely you should go for it. My husband and I were married by a female pastor in 1987. My family knew her when she was first ordained, back when I was a teen. She was wonderful. A great pastor. Know that if God puts this calling on your heart then He is the only one you have to answer to. Stop asking others and go with your heart.

Once again, we cannot go by our feelings. The bible says no authority over man. when a woman is behind the pulpit, preaching to men, she is using authority. "Feelings" dont get us into heaven. If we went on feelings, what good would the writen word of GOD be to us?

It's stunning to me that somebody would actually base their opinion on God's will on their "feelings".

We have his Word to guide us. Everyone knows what the Bible says regarding male/female roles, in and outside of the church.

Asking a question like this when you already know the answer is merely an excuse to receive approval from man for an action which you know to be anti-scriptural, to feel better about a premeditated sin.

A lot of the time, it's not determining God's will that's hard.

It's following it.

Its not our church. We are never told to be relevant.
The word of God doesnt change, because God doesnt change.
Id hate to answer for going against God with that excuse.
If you want relevance in your church, have the pastor preach the gospel.

This is a touchy subject for a lot of people
I personally believe women should not have authority over men, however that is not to say a woman can't teach in the proper setting such as a woman's conference, I believe women should preach to women, that is not to say if a man is in need of help that you turn him down. I believe this because the Bible is very clear on the matter
