The orignal post was 365, read it, and read the continuation of the thread.....My attempt at humor offended you, I publicly apologized for that, and you continued to chastise me publicly even after I apologized to you for something I really dident mean any harm with. Most men would just except the apology and move on, you dident, you just kept coming at me...again read the thread ...Its all right there in the thread...I dont understand why you were offended by my attempt at the humor, but you were, so, I extended an apology... maybe my humor is a little to off beat and should have been tempered with more scrutiny...But to continue to chastise a man after he extends an apology to you is just childish behavior...I have no problem owning up to the fact I may have offended someone, which is apparent in my response to you ...but I aint gonna be wiped like a dog by no man my friend...And doing what you are doing here is dishonest in terms of you not reading what you expressed here in this thread, so go back and take a look..I have no personal problem with you at all, other then you are trying to beat on me out here, and Im not going for it brother...The thread is there for you to examine...again it starts at 365... Let it go man, I ok with ya...Just let it go. And man dont bring another brother into this pool of discourse, thats just not cool at all...

I'm kinda with 7seven7 in that I don't see anything really wrong with the post of Godslyric that offended some. Read it in full context, it's actually all about honoring God and his commands for us in our particular roles, and about how we are the ones who mess up things or will mess up things if we don't stick to God's ways and what he prescribes for us, something like that. He did humbly apologize for that one sentence which some thought inappropriate or whatever, and honestly, I don't know if he even really needed to do that. Some people in this thread have not been so nice to each other, but I haven't seen that from Godslyric in this thread (other than some reaction to the ongoing criticism of his one statement). I don't know Godslyric but I'm just commenting on what I've seen here in this thread. Anyway perhaps we can focus on the subject of the thread? :)

P.S. and maybe that sentence (in Godslyrics' post) was misunderstood by some? Anyway he did humbly apologize for any offense or misunderstanding.

Thanks, I really dont mean to stir the pot, and I really felt my thoughts on the subject matter were fairly well articulated, and at the very least, I was being as honest as I possible could in terms of the subject, and my short comings, and how the two interact in my like...I feel its important to expose ones short comings in this life, for me, it breeds humility, and I need all I can get, its not a natural state for me...lol...And I certainly dident mean any harm with my characterization of me having to be disciplined into good behavior...That short leash is the largest blessing I have from God, and Im always very greatful for it...In Christ, Jeff

Actually, I thought he was correcting him for not showing reverence? Someone like that obviously doesn't fear the Lord much.
LMBO!!! Are you out of your mind?!! Do you even know anything about this guy? You see, this is exactly what I meant in my earlier post. Guys like you and Quickfire think that if someone doesn't do things exactly like you, talk exactly like you, walk exactly like you, then they "don't fear the Lord much." You have made that judgement from one post! Get off your self righteous high horse and come back down to earth. Get to know this guy Godslyric, and you'll see exactly how much he fears the Lord. A lot more than you by the looks of things. lol I can't believe I'm about to say this to man in his 50s, but, grow up, and God bless.

Most obviously misunderstood by some. But that's not the sad thing. The sad thing is that it gave them a reason to jump down his throat, on a Christian site, and tried to him feel bad. Anyway, God bless.

Nah all good. Apology accepted. Forgotten. So, I don't think women keep silent in Churches. Nor should they. A womans voice and demeaner can truly bring love and compassion to a group of people in the Church.

When they were told to keep silent in the bible, we must remember that the audience back then were a from totally different culture than what we are now. The women weren't educated and in those days, and it was seen as disrespectful for a woman to do most things in public. Things are very different these days, and I really can't see Christ telling women to stay quiet in Church if they have a lot to contribute.

They all have something to contribute in different ways. The message, I imagine, will be delivered differently from the housewife than that from the business woman.
