Hold it!
I see a figure in the distance, high on a hill.
It is deep in a southern country, or even continent.
It is a man, a man of God!
He is preaching about........oneness!
Is he for or against, I can't quite make out what he is saying, oh "continued next week"!
For the TV series crowd.

Oh, you're so sweet.

You're not hurting?
It seems to be very important for you to put down the leader of the largest Christian church in America and you claim you are not Christian.
It seems your battle is against Christians and Christianity and you are using words the best way you can to tell us all how horrible Joel Osteen is and how horrible his church is.
How does this affect you?
It obviously hurts you in some way that people in this world like Joel Osteen and like Lakewood church and you don't.
You claim they are so bad but you don't even go there or get involved first hand with what they do there.
How do you know it's so bad?
By what you see on a Larry King you tube video?
If you're so close to his church, why don't you go there to a Sunday morning service and see first hand what goes on.
And Joel says he's always available after the service to shake hands with newcomers and say hello..
Then you can see for yourself if he's really the big bad ogre you make him out to be.
It truly concerns me that you obviously know nothing about what the Bible calls the "falling away" of the church.

So, those that have spoken against Osteen - that means you have been to his services many times and first hand have heard him say all these things. For example - it's ok to live the homosexual lifestyle?

I hope us "good Christians" know that lying, malice and slander are just as much a work of the flesh as living the homosexual lifestyle is.
Do you know how silly that sounds? Anybody that has a TV can watch Osteen. We've all probably heard him.

Then again, it doesn't shock me that you stand up for the televangelists.....

Gossipers and those that slander and that spread strife amongst the brethren are in the same list as those that live the homosexual lifestyle.
What about those that teach false doctrine? I notice you never put them in the mix.

I don't know about these heavy voiced guys, I like soft spoken stuff, like Joel.

If Jesus would have spoke in that type of voice would the multitudes have heard Him? Not without a P.M. system. Seems like Jesus would have spoke pretty loudly.

If you want to listen then listen if not then don't not sure why everyone tries to push their agenda onto others.

Out of love we should warn others of false teachers. The NT warns of false teachers more than almost any other topic.

But Joel is not really teaching doctrine, right? does he call himself a teacher?

I would call him more of an encourager and like others have said, sometimes you need that

No one can be all things to all people...except God

See there, you yourself see that he's not a pastor (a shepherd of God's people). He's simply an encourager.

But he sets himself up as a pastor, preacher. He's the Senior Pastor of Lakewood. He leads God's people in the word of God. But only what he wants to teach, not what he's suppose to teach. He's a false teacher.

He doesn't teach sound doctrine. He doesn't preach the whole counsel of God. He says himself he won't preach on certain things. Well the leader of God's people has to teach the very things he avoids.

Where is the love for the heart and soul of the sinner when you don't tell them they are living a lifestyle of sin and they will die in their sin if they don't repent. They're on their way to hell, but he won't even use that word.

He has a difficult time of warning others of things that lead you to hell. The Mormon is fine and on their way to heaven, the Jew is going to make it to heaven.

Sorry, as cute as he is, as likable as he is and as syrupy as his words flow, He's a false teacher/preacher.

And maybe Joel would speak louder if he had no P>A. system.
So what's your point?
You sound like a Hillary democrat, pointless.

I don't get it.

What is a false teacher?
Biblically it means someone who teaches heresy.
Like, for instance, they teach that Jesus was a nice prophet, but not God.

So, is Joel a false teacher because he doesn't preach the way you would want him to?
I don't know any preacher that's just right.
They're all lacking.

I believe the important thing is not so much that they may not say everything you would like them to,
but that they don't say INCORRECT doctrine.

There's a big difference between JO and Word of Faith pastors.
They tell you to buy oil, they tell you to buy pieces of cloth, sand,
They tell you to plant seeds and that you'll get money for it.
They tell you that if you give, God will give you back threefold (or is it 10?)

JO is very positive. But he does not promise God will answer all your prayers. He
says that we should look to God for everything and try to live positively. Is this wrong?
Does God desire us to have a miserable life?

I believe God wants us to be healthy and prosper. That doesn't mean we'll be healthy or rich.
But I also don't believe He would want us to be sick and poverty stricken. I believe this is the work of satan

JO is saying that we should not give the victory to satan.
