From the ppl of the world as potential spouses...I've been married three time...to three Christians...the first left in a week...saying she made a mistake and wasn't ready for marriage...and 60 later was dating and later filed for divorce...the second had my children and multiple affairs...the third was violent, lied, cheated and abandoned the marriage....all three attended church regularly, all three spoke in tongues, all three knew the scriptures...
All.there were rebellious...
All im seeing in church now from a male perspective is a bunch of women with democratic views mixed with christianity ...rebellious, wanting headship, career or work orientated...selfesh and with someone elses children, wanting to date or get married...but yet are busy, busy, busy....what happened to the proverbs 31 woman instead of these headstrong brash dominate "Christian" females...????

That doesn't sound typical. Did anyone warn you about these women? Some people have a knack for picking the wrong women. Maybe you're looking for the wrong qualities?

Looking for a Christian woman is the wrong qualities? we make choices...they chose things...our character is a reflection of our choices...

It's terrible that you have gone through 3 disastrous relationships. I know someone close who was married and his
wife had a long term affair with the pastor of the church and eventually she left my friend and went off with the pastor.
After sometime, he met another christian in a different church cause he moved church and sad to say, history repeated
itself.

The biggest problem whether it be men or women is the lack of an intimate relationship with the Lord.
Playing church does not bring us closer to the Lord.
If we have a close relationship with the Lord, spending time with Him and reading His word, the Holy
Spirit who dwells within our hearts will convict our lives of wrong and bring the word of God into our hearts
and minds so that we can be renewed according to His word and not according to the principles of this world.

When we live in this world and if we get caught up with the world, naturally our tendencies will be to fulfil the desires of
the flesh according to worldly principles. Thats why, it's so important to have a very close relationship with the Lord so that we don't fall into temptation.

I love proverbs 31. God has assigned tasks to men and to women. Each have their own obligations and duties to fullful.
It's a pity that people look at the duties/task which God has ordered as eg: demeaning if a woman has to submit to her
husband. For me, I submit to my husband and many times not because I want to but because I love God and it's my obligation
to God to obey His word, as His word says "If you love me, obey my commmands".
By submitting, it does not make me a lesser person, though people may disagree.
The problem is people read the word and then instead of accepting it for what it says and do it, they rationalize it with
today's modern generation way of thinking and that is not right.

May God come and rescue His church.
I pray for God's blessing to be upon you.
God bless

I'm sorry you've had this experience... Christian women should not act this way, but alas we are but human. I find it interesting that you mention that these women were all Christians who spoke in tongues and attended church regularly as if this was the stamp of authenticity on their relationship with Christ. I hate to say that it's not. What you do never determines who you are. There are plenty of good-looking, well-spoken, high-standing, prominent societal figures who are not so upstanding in their hearts. Do not trust a person by their actions unless you know their heart intimately enough to know they coincide.

WOW! This is another scary example of what the church is producing today, false Christians, calling themselves Christian, while still defiled in their hearts, folks, listen up! Churches that produce converts like those you mentioned were never converted, they are still IN sin, and need to do their first works and repent, and I sure hope no one thinks this is the real church Christ built with His precious blood!

In flaming fire!

2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…………
The main problem I am seeing in modern Christianity today is a poor understanding of who God is, and what He is asking mankind to do to be reconciled back to Him. Many, who profess to be saved, do not know God, and those who profess to be atheist, just deny reality. Both positions are a very dangerous place to be in, as stated in 2 Tim 1-8.
I was taught for most of my lukewarm Christian life, that God is more concerned with your ability to just believe He exists, and that He sent His son Jesus to be a substitutional sacrifice and overcomer for all those who were born depraved and unable to truly repent, and seek His mercy, then follow Him in an obedient faith, brought forth by a love, fear, and respect of a God who commands and demands ALL mankind to depart from iniquity and repent(not confess and believe) But stop sinning, for example, stop fornication, stop adultery, stop drunkenness, lying, cheating, stealing, and also put away the love of the world, and all its vain attractions!
Now for those who follow another gospel that promises them liberty, while actually telling them they are eternally saved and going to heaven because they said the sinners prayer (sorrow of the world) and then trust all is done, all sin is pre forgiven, and repentance is more of an apology or confession you are a sinner and cannot stop your vile sins this side if heaven, woe to you!
To know and obey God should be the number one concern of the church today, not “trust” in something that never happened, i.e., penal substitution, OSAS, or any false gospel that would declare you righteous while you are still defiled or unrighteous, telling you are depraved and a sinning saint till the day you die!
Those who know God and obey as commanded, will clearly see the huge difference between the saved in sin cloaked message being sold today, and the free, simple message Jesus and the profits brought to the lost sinning masses thousands of years ago.
Which was, man has free will and ability to choose to obey or not, repentance towards God and faith towards Jesus Christ was preached far and wide as the only means to be reconciled to God and enter the kingdom.
This repentance and faith meant the vile rebellion stopped before mercy would even be considered, please read Jonah Ch 3, and the Prodigal son, who stopped his rebellion BEFORE his father would forgive him and accept back.
I wrote this short message in an attempt to show the reader and seeker of truth the huge difference between what is taught as truth today, which is another gospel and another Christ, and the true gospel according to obedience, repentance, godliness, and purity that can only come from a crucified soul, broken through a crisis of conviction, followed by real repentance and godly sorrow, assuming nothing from God, except hoping He relents and grants you mercy and pardon.
This is not an attempt to explain in detail the problems with the church today, along with all the leaven added into the pure word for the last 500 years or so. This has been covered before in great detail, for those who are willing to dig deep, and count the cost, come out of the church system and world, and seek the pearl of great price, that is free and available and calling all those in bondage to freedom and purity that can only come when you seek to know God and obey His commands!
Isa 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

My heart goes out to you, Rillolion. May the Holy Spirit unfold the truth of God in your heart and give you healing. The Father still has glorious plans for you. Keep moving forward in faith untinged with fear or dread.

Statistically, Christian men and women are not different from men and women of the world. Same divorce rate. Same rate of alcoholism. Same rate of teenage pregnancy. Same suicide rate. Same rate of any perverse behavior that can be measured statistically.

That said, my marriage has been tremendous. It started well and keeps getting better and better. For me, marrying a "Christian" was as essential as marrying a "woman". But I eschewed MANY Christian relationships before getting married. There are some tremendous single Christian people out there. There are lots of tares among the wheat, too.

Feminism. It's drilled into the males too. You have to be extremely selective in America, even in churches.
There is a sort of feminism that the bible teaches. I have seen marriages ruinned, even if they stay together, by the idea that God teaches men they are supreme, and little wife better obey. That attitude is not the one God teaches when He made men the leaders. Both have an equally important role to play in our world.

Have you heard the idea that God sees every tear that is shed? You may not make your spouse cry.

It must be terrible to endure all this, and not be bitter. I hope you have a strong caring Christian you can go to to help you talk it out. My prayers are with you.

Please remember that we are to grow as we face our trials, you can use this terrible trial for a closer walk with your Lord.

First of all, the Bible does not teach a sort of feminism. It would be some churches preaching this. Men are meant to be leaders and if they forsake that responsibility, the next person up might have to be a woman. Both sexes do have important roles to play in this world. Both Christian men and women have struggles, foibles, and other issues that might get in the way. Sorry, Rillolion you have gone through this, but trust in God and praise in the good times and bad. God bless.

As Christ is the head of the Church,Man biblically is the head of the woman, yes. But this should be done in a honorable and humble way, this is the way God designed it.Not in a proudful,im better than u way.In the book of Ephesians it shows how God lovingly designed leadership. When its done Gods way its a beautiful thing and a woman and man truely and totally living 4 God will find many blessings in their relationship with God and each other. There will be peace, joy and godly, unity.

i fail to see what feminism has to do with any of this. The man couldnt make THREE marriages work, and you all are just accepting the fact that is was the fault of three separate women? Even though the common denominator in each divorce is him?

Could I just...step in real quick to highlight something?

all three spoke in tongues,
All three pretended to be God-loving, marriage-revering Christians, and all three also pretended something else.

It seems that you are implying that this is all his fault. How do you know that he didn't try to make the marriages work? You don't. There is more than one common denominator here. It appears that there were three Christian women leading unchristian lives. Show some compassion Nautilus.

Rillolion, it is unfortunate that this has happened to you. I don't know all the details, but it appears that you haven't made very wise decisions in the past with choosing spouses. You should hesitate before considering remarriage, pray long and hard about it.
